Big Idea
The argument in one line.
Posting simple, helpful YouTube videos far more often than feels comfortable builds evergreen momentum that produces leads and sales without ads, a launch, or any other platform.
Who This Is For
Read if. Skip if.
READ IF YOU ARE…
A coach or service business owner who posts to YouTube once a week or less and wants real numbers on what posting daily could produce.
A creator who avoids publishing because every video feels like it has to be heavily edited, animated and polished first.
Someone deciding whether YouTube long form alone, with no ads and no social cross-posting, can drive a lead funnel into a free community and then calls.
SKIP IF…
You want a repeatable tactical playbook for viral views. His top video got 7,000 views and the point is steady, small-audience lead flow.
You need a statistically solid case study. It is one creator, one month, with an existing audience of roughly 27,000 subscribers.
TL;DR
The full version, fast.
Nolan Molt posted 27 long-form videos and three live streams in 30 days, with no ads, no other social platforms and no launch. The funnel was a YouTube video, then a free Skool community, then a booked call. The month produced 53.2K views, 1,100 watch hours, 29 net new subscribers, 82 brand-new leads from YouTube, four booked calls and three clients worth $13,000 in cash. He says the real wins were finishing something hard, building business momentum, learning that simple videos work, and seeing that posting more grows a business. He plans a paid public 30-day challenge in November.

Atomic Insights
Lines worth screenshotting.
Posting every day for 30 days with no ads and no other platforms produced 53.2K views, 82 new YouTube leads and $13,000 in cash collected, with no launch behind it.
A creator can gain 257 subscribers and lose 228 in the same month and still grow, because niching down trades broad subscribers for the right audience.
New viewers fill the pond and returning viewers nurture the fish. Both numbers matter: 29,000 new views and 22,000 returning views in this month.
His most viewed video, about 7,000 views, was a three-minute phone clip he spent 15 minutes on with no thumbnail.
The videos he was most ashamed to post were often the ones that performed best, so his own quality judgment is a poor predictor of reach.
A $1,000 penalty to a friend for missing a single day did more to keep him posting than motivation did.
Without a tracker you cannot tell which video drives leads, because the analytics only say the traffic came from YouTube.
Even a modest 20% community conversion rate is considered good, and his free Skool community converted better than that.
He never promoted his booking calendar, yet 171 people clicked it from the video description and from inside the community.
Not posting online is like skipping the party: if nobody sees you there, you do not get invited to the next one.
Simple and helpful beats polished. People want the real you sharing something valuable without wasting their time.
If you normally post weekly, going to twice a week is enough of a stretch to surface the same mental resistance daily posting does.
A month of posting simple, helpful videos with no ads or launch produced steady leads and three clients, and the biggest changes were consistency, momentum and permission to publish imperfect work.
Check results across the whole funnel, not just views: 53.2K views became 82 new YouTube leads, four booked calls and three clients.
Subscriber count can mislead. Gaining 257 and losing 228 nets only +29, while 29,000 new viewers and 22,000 returning viewers show the audience is actually moving.
Route viewers to a free community before a call. Pointing week one straight at a call produced clicks but no booked calls.
Track which videos drive signups, since YouTube analytics only reports the source as YouTube. A simple tracker answers what the platform will not.
Add accountability with a real cost, such as owing a friend $1,000 for a missed day, to keep posting on days you do not want to.
Expect mental resistance whenever you post more than most people do. Discouragement and doubt were normal for everyone in the challenge.
Publish simple, helpful videos. The ones he felt were worst or took 15 minutes often got the most views.
Visible, regular posting creates momentum: old clients reach out, new leads appear daily and sales come without a launch.
If daily is too much, raise your cadence modestly, such as from once to twice a week, and lower the effort per video with screen recordings or phone clips.
Glossary
Terms worth knowing.
Skool community
A hosted online community and course platform. Here it is the free group where YouTube viewers land before being offered a strategy call.
Evergreen sales
Sales that come in steadily from content and inbound leads, as opposed to a time-limited launch with a cart open and a deadline.
Net subscriber change
Subscribers gained minus subscribers lost over a period. It can look flat while the channel is actually turning over its audience.
Cash collected
Money actually received in the bank, as opposed to total contract value or revenue booked.

analogy
For the past 30 days, I've posted every single day to YouTube, a long form video or a live stream once a week. And I'm going to be breaking down everything in this video from how much money I made, how many sales, how many leads, how many views, all of that. Now, I purposely did not run any ads and I did not post to any other social media platforms only to YouTube long form.
So this is some really good data. If you are interested in growing your business on YouTube, this is maybe. what you could expect, or at least get a good idea.
So I'm going to share with you the funnel, all the numbers, and the lessons I learned and what's next. Let's get into it. I'm so excited for this one.
Crazy that we're here, but here we go. So week one, the funnel was literally just YouTube video and seeing if I could book a call. If you watched week one's video, I didn't book any calls, but I got like 170 clicks to that page.
So I... finally released my free school community. And the past three weeks, it's been YouTube video to the free school community to book a call.
Not every single YouTube video would I promote the free school community. Some of the videos I did, I'm going to have a whole nother video where I break down like which videos actually got the most leads and when my call to action was. Some videos got way more leads.
then I was going to show you some of the tracker, but I'll make that a whole different video and break down like some of the lessons learned there. But that was the funnel week two through four. So keep that in mind as we look through some of these numbers and I'll show you the back end of school and all that here in a minute.
So let's just jump into the numbers and get right into it. Now, the important caveat here is I had no launch. So usually like in the past, what I've done is I would post maybe there was one time where I did three times a week and I think I made 30 grand.
This time I was posting seven times a week. I was hoping I'd make more than 30 grand. But when I did that 30 grand, there was a launch.
tied to those three times a week posting. This time I had no lunch. We also weren't setting calls or DMing people to set calls inside of the school community.
And we'll probably do that in the future and see who's a good fit, see if they want to hop on a call and all of that. But we literally just did YouTube videos and inbound leads. I'm saying we, but just me.
YouTube video, inbound leads, that's all I did. So I just want you to keep that in mind. I probably in the next 30 days.
doing a launch can make a lot more, but this is kind of interesting from an evergreen perspective to know like if you did just post to YouTube and you didn't even try to set people, will they reach out book calls and buy from you? We'll find out. Okay.
So let's jump into it. A couple of fun numbers, and then we'll jump into the traffic leads and sales differently. So let's start with some of the fun stuff.
So 27 videos, I did three live streams and the long form videos in total, I was just curious, eight hours and 18 minutes of uploaded footage to YouTube for my long form videos. And then I had about one hour live streams.
One of them was like 30 minutes, but overall over the last month, I uploaded almost 11 hours of new content. That's like, that's like me posting all of the Hobbit movies to YouTube in one month. Pretty crazy.
So that's that. uh thought that was fun this was very interesting because if you look at like how many subscribers i gained um i gained 29 subscribers as you can see there but i actually gained 257 subscribers and i just lost a ton of subscribers now you might be like nolan how does that even happen to keep it short and simple how that happens is because i actually started in the filmmaking niche built that up to like 10 000 subscribers then i was talking more about like to content creators and more broad YouTube.
And that got me to like 20, honestly around here, 25 ,000, 27 ,000. And then ever since I've niched down a bit more to go business related, and I just started losing a lot more subscribers. I also on my YouTube channel on Sundays would talk about my faith, Christianity, and those videos lost me a ton of subscribers, which is funny, but I don't even care because I want to talk about my faith.
It's the most important thing to me. So I'm going to talk about it on Sundays during this challenge. Okay, let me go back over here.
So net subscriber change was plus 29. I thought that'd be fun to share. This is what I think is really exciting is new versus returning viewers.
So new viewers to my channel was 29 ,000 new views of new viewers. That is awesome. Like imagine a 29 ,000 new people could come into your business and be aware of who you are for the very first time.
That's what a new viewer is. Very first time watching my content. That was awesome.
Their average view duration was much lower, partly probably because some of my shorter videos maybe got more views that could play a part into it. But I also think returning viewers are going to watch longer and maybe they'll watch more of the like bottom of funnel content. That is like some of my longer videos.
Like I have a two hour long video, a one hour long video. But maybe just returning viewers because they know me, they watch longer. So I thought that was interesting as well.
But this number is what I'm really excited about is twenty two thousand. views of returning viewers. And my buddy Alejandro shares this analogy with me.
Let me jump over here. He shares this analogy of like, when you are going to do a launch, you need to like refill the pond because when you do a launch, you know, some of those fish in the pond end up buying some of those leads end up buying. So when you do a brand new launch or whatever, you got to like refill the pond.
And so like he runs ads mainly. He actually did this 30 day challenge with me. I need to make a video with him, but that's a whole nother thing.
And so the returning viewers, I like in YouTube terms, I view it as new viewers is like filling up the pond and then returning viewers is like nurturing. So you want to fill up the pond with new fish. Boom.
We did that with new viewers, but then people are actually returning. Now we're like nurturing those fish so that eventually we hope that they would want to work with me and the content Academy. Um, so thought that was fun.
Let's dive into the numbers that you want to know. How much traffic did I get? How many leads?
How many sales? So we'll start with traffic. We'll jump into the YouTube studio.
53 ,000 views, uh, a total of 1000 watch hours. Like I said, 29 subscribers made $94 in ad revenue. So get myself, you know, take wifey out to dinner, you know, celebrate, celebrate the a hundred dollar bill coming in.
Um, so that was pretty cool. What else? Oh, maybe a few other things I could show you that would be interesting here is like some of my, my videos weren't really going viral.
Like 7 ,000 views was the most viewed video, which is very interesting. And this video, by the way, is like a three minute long video shot on my phone. Uh, I probably literally spent 15 minutes coming up with the idea, shooting it and then uploading it.
And I didn't even do a thumbnail. And so that's fun. You know, when I spend like hours on a, on a video and it gets way less views, uh, sometimes that's just how YouTube works.
So you can kind of see here, these are my most popular videos, like not that many views, but I'm getting leads. I'm getting sales because I'm attracting the right audience. Um, Maybe another cool thing to look at is audience.
My monthly audience is growing, which is pretty cool. But these are the total number of viewers in the past 28 days because a lot of people come back. They're returning viewers.
Revenue, whatever. Yeah. But that's kind of that.
Those are the numbers on the YouTube side. Now what we want to figure out. Okay.
Cool, Nolan. But how about leads? How many leads did you get?
How many sales did you get? For me, I was just pushing everything to the free school community. Could have done a better job, but that's what I was doing.
So how many clicks from YouTube did I get to school? And then how many new members did I get? Let's break it down.
So I did send out one email and I got 165 clicks and I did the math. I'm like, if I did 40 % conversion, which I think I probably did, that's like 66 new people into the community. uh just from my email so i kind of want to disregard that i'll do the math later but just from youtube over those like three weeks i got 237 clicks and if you want to break it week one was zero because i didn't have the school community yet and then uh this is kind of what that looked like week by week if you're curious uh monday tuesday overlapped right 28 days we did 30.
So that's how many clicks I got to school. How many leads did we get? Well, week one, I got six from my Stan store, which basically is where I hosted on some really old videos, some lead magnets, and people somehow found those and they downloaded them.
So I did get six week one from Stan, even though I didn't have the school community. Week two, got 97, 93 new members to the community. Here, I got 29 new school community members in week three.
And then week four, plus those two extra days, Monday, Tuesday, got 30 new members as well. So that's pretty awesome.
Week two. So keep in mind here, 66, probably from email. So do the math there.
What is that? 33. Um, but like on average, getting every single week, 30 new leads into my business, into my school community.
And they're actually really engaged to like, well, we'll take a look at this. Like, I don't know what, uh, good engagement rate is but i feel like this is good 76 engagement we have 237 new members um and the conversion rate is good uh i feel like so i was talking to scoot uh the guys at scoot they have a really cool software for um plug -in for school communities and he was telling me it's like 20 is good so i'm pretty happy with this and maybe it goes down as i post more i have no idea um But, and then if you want to see like where the visitors are coming from, I'm going to break this down into different video.
This says chat GBT had 295 clicks. I had chat GBT create a tracker for me so that I could, I didn't want to just know like, cause this happened. I was like, wait, I can't see which videos are sending the most traffic.
It just says YouTube. They came from YouTube. I want to know what videos send me, give me the most leads.
That's why I built this software. Um, so I'll break that down in another video. But every single day, this is super cool.
You can see how many visitors I'm getting and then how many signups I'm getting. This is when I sent out the email and then I'm just like, I'm getting five, six people every single day to my school community, brand new leads, which is awesome. All right.
Now the good stuff. Let's talk about sales, how much money I made, and then we'll talk about lessons learned and what's next. So I did in my YouTube channel, let me just pull up a video.
Uh, here we'll just pull up this one. This is what it looked like for me. So hold on.
It's freezing a little bit.
Okay. I'll just mute this. So top link is, hey, join my free YouTube community for business owners.
My second link right here, if you can see it, I'll zoom in. It is, hey, book a strategy call. So if someone wants to book a strategy call, they can do it right there.
The other way they can book a strategy call is inside the free community. There is a link to book a call as well. And so that's where these clicks are coming from is YouTube description.
Even though I'm not saying it, like I'm not promoting that. It comes from the YouTube description or it comes from inside the community. That being said, here's how many total clicks on the calendar I got, which was 171.
I don't know if that's just from YouTube or not. I'll have to double check, but I'm pretty sure that's just 171 clicks to my calendar. Never promoted it.
People just went there. So how many sales calls did I get? Well, I booked four calls.
Four people should. Got two closed. And total revenue, cash collected $13 ,000 from, I actually technically, okay, sorry.
One was a DM close, so it should be three sales, $13 ,000 cash collected. And again, keep in mind, this is without any sort of launch. This to me is just evergreen.
And this came from the last week. So I'm going to do this for the next 30 days and let you guys know if this, stays up, but it's like, uh, you know, $13 ,000 literally in the last week, um, in sales, which is pretty cool.
Uh, okay. Uh, so here's the summary, basically 53 .2 thousand views led to, I subtracted the 66, but 82 new leads from YouTube, brand new, not from an email list from YouTube to the school community led to three clients and $13 ,000 in cash. I'm not going to talk about revenue.
Who cares? That's how much in my bank account. Lessons learned and what's next.
So if you're curious about doing this, posting on YouTube to grow your business, I think this will be super helpful. We'll start with four lessons learned. Number one is I honestly am glad I did it because it was hard.
And when you do something hard and you stick to your word, you do feel accomplished and you feel like I can do hard things. And that's like a good thing to have. And so I wasn't sure I could do it.
when I committed to it. I was literally scared to do it. And one of the reasons, two of the reasons I did it was I was accountable.
And I told everyone on YouTube that I was going to be doing this daily challenge. And then number two, I had a negative consequence. My buddy Alejandro and I who did it, we told each other and we were going to do it.
If we didn't post one time before midnight, we'd have to send. that person a thousand dollars we'd have to send each other a thousand dollars and I did like there was times where I was like do I um I was like do I actually want to post and I was like no and I really don't want to post right now I do not want to go make a video but I even more so did not want to pay a thousand dollars to Alejandro so I just did it I also conquered my like perfectionism that I have of having content and just this fear around posting.
And one other lesson too is like, if you're going to, even if you're not going to post daily, if you're just going to post three times a week, like if you're going to post more than most people, it's going to be hard and you're going to have to get over a lot of mental stuff. And that's normal. And just being okay with like, I'm discouraged.
I'm not sure if this is working, but it's okay. And I don't want to hop in front of the camera today and press record. And I don't know if this is good enough.
I don't know if this is good enough, but that's all normal. I had two friends, Jesse and Alejandro, that were doing this with me. And they'll tell you the same exact thing.
They were like, this is really hard. And I felt discouraged and all this stuff. But like, we just kept doing it because like, we're all experiencing that.
So that was lesson number one. Number two. is my business now has momentum.
And so people are starting to reach out. People are texting me. Old clients are texting me that are interested in like joining the, the content Academy.
Again, people are engaged in what I'm doing and I'm getting new leads every single day. Like my business has momentum. Sales are coming in again without launches.
And so I'm just super happy about that. Number three. I was scared to ruin my brand.
So I was scared that posting these daily videos and posting a loom recording or a video like this that has no editing, I was scared people were going to think it was cheap or that it was lazy or it was bad or whatever. And you let me know in the comments. I don't think that was the case.
I think people just liked that I showed up daily and it was something for them to watch. And usually it was just something helpful. That was my whole goal, which is to post simple videos that are helpful, simple, helpful content.
And so I learned it's okay to post simple videos. And I used to think that these are bad videos, but really they're just simple videos. To be fair though, there was a few times I literally text Alejandro and Jesse and I was like, guys, I just recorded the worst video I've ever made.
Like this is a bad video, but, and I would post it. And then some of those videos would get the most amount of views. And I'm just like, of course, the video that I spent like 15 minutes on, the one that I regretted and I posted and I was like, so shameful to post it.
People liked it. I was like, of course. Of course, that's how it works.
So most of these aren't actually bad videos. They're just simple. And we think they have to be like super animated, like have animations and editing and graphics and all of that.
But it's like people just want, I think people just want the real you. They want authenticity. They want you to share something valuable and not waste their time.
And so these are just simple videos. Make simple, helpful pieces of content and share it with the world. That's what I'm trying to do.
Number four, you should. probably post more if you want to grow your business. And I'm going to have a link in the description for a wait list.
This 30 day challenge, and we're going to talk about what's next. I kind of want to do this again because it's growing my business. I'm getting new leads every day.
I'm getting sales now, multiple sales a week, which is amazing in this last week. And I want to keep that going. I'm going to keep the momentum going and posting more has allowed me to like, the way I view it is if you're not posting on YouTube, It's kind of like you are, there's a party going on, which is the online internet.
It's social media. And if you're not posting online, you're not hanging out at the party. And guess what?
When you don't hang out at the party, you don't get invited to the next party. You don't get invited to go out to, you know, the Dairy Queen. We'd go to Dairy Queen after my basketball games.
You go to Dairy Queen afterwards. It's like you didn't get the invite. Yeah, because you're not around.
Like no one knows where you are. You're not online. And so just posting more allows you to just show up and be a part of the conversation, be online and be there rather than hiding away, you know, and not showing up to the party.
So show up to the party, post more videos. So what's next? Let's talk about it.
Am I going to do 30 more days? Am I going to do daily? I'll tell you what I am for sure going to do.
I'm going to do another 30 day challenge and I'm going to open it up to the public. So that's what I'm talking about. I lost track ADHD.
There's going to be a link in the description. If you want to join the wait list for the next YouTube 30 day challenge. There will be a link if you want to sign up.
It's just a wait list. It's going to be a paid thing. I don't know the price of it yet, but I want people committed.
Like me and Alejandro, we had a thousand bucks committed, ready to give that up if we lost. And I want people who are going to like Alejandro, like Jesse, who are going to be serious and then actually do it. And I'm excited to do this again.
I'm excited to do it with you. I'm excited to do it with the Content Academy and the crew that's already in there. We're all excited.
It doesn't have to be daily. It just is to post more. So if you're used to posting once a week, push yourself to post twice a week because we want to make it easier to post on YouTube.
That is the goal of the 30 days. How can you make it easier? And sometimes that's removing editing and doing a screen recording like this.
Sometimes that is just using your phone, going on a walk, and posting that. It doesn't matter. We're all just going to do this together, post for 30 days, two times a week, three times a week, seven times a week.
I don't know what I'm committing to. This is day 31, so I'm still on my 31 day streak. I don't know what that looks like, but starting in November, we're going to be doing a 30 day challenge.
And if you want in, click the link in the description or bare minimum, just join the school community and hang out over here. There's some. Really cool stuff over here.
Some cool courses. There's my YouTube Accelerator mini course. If you want to learn how to get views and grow your brand so that you can get more leads, get more sales, then come hang out over here and join the Content Academy.
That's it, y 'all. Appreciate you. Hope you enjoyed this video.
This has been 30 YouTube videos in 30 days. Who knows? Maybe I'll make another one where it's 100 YouTube videos in 100 days.
We'll see. I don't know. All right.
Take care, y 'all. See you in the next one.
