Big Idea

The argument in one line.

A white-labeled audit tool does the selling before the agency ever picks up the phone -- it shows business owners exactly what they are losing rather than asking them to trust a stranger's pitch.

Who This Is For

Read if. Skip if.

READ IF YOU ARE…
  • You run a local SEO or Google Business Profile agency and client acquisition, not fulfillment, is your bottleneck.
  • You want a leave-behind tool that starts the sales conversation before you are on a call.
  • You are open to spending $5-$30/day on Meta ads targeting small business page admins.
  • You have been relying on cold outreach alone and want a warmer, data-driven entry point.
SKIP IF…
  • You serve enterprise or national brands -- this tool is built entirely for local/map-pack ranking.
  • You do not sell local SEO, GBP optimization, or adjacent services to small business owners.
TL;DR

The full version, fast.

Getting a busy small business owner to care about your SEO pitch is harder than actually doing the SEO work. This tool solves that by generating a branded one-minute audit report -- showing their Google Business Profile score, missed revenue, competitor positions, AI visibility gaps, and keyword heat maps -- that makes the problem undeniable before you ever ask for money. Agencies deploy it three ways: as a free lead magnet on their website, as a paid $49-$499 audit that pre-qualifies prospects, or as a live demo run on the sales call itself. The fastest-growing users pair it with $5-$30/day Meta ads targeting Business Page admins.

Atomic Insights

Lines worth screenshotting.

  • Fulfillment is no longer the hard problem for local SEO agencies -- getting business owners to pay attention is.
  • A $275,000/month Revenue You're Missing figure makes it trivial to justify a $500-$1,000/month retainer.
  • Charging $49-$499 for an audit before a sales call filters tire-kickers and dramatically raises close rates because the prospect already has skin in the game.
  • Running the audit live on the sales call eliminates the gap between identifying the problem and pitching the fix.
  • Targeting Facebook/Instagram users who admin a Business Page is a precise, low-cost filter for local business owner audiences.
  • A white-label domain means the lead never knows which platform generated the report -- the agency brand becomes the tool.
  • An AI Visibility section showing the business is not found in ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok is a pitch angle most business owners have never heard and cannot dispute.
  • Heat maps that show ranking position by GPS grid square make abstract SEO arguments visceral and geographic.
  • Proactive audits for cold prospects turn outreach into a data gift instead of a blind pitch.
  • Automated email CC on every audit surfaces hot leads at exactly the moment of intent.
Takeaway

The audit is the pitch, not the warm-up to one.

WHAT TO LEARN

When a prospect can see their own ranking gaps, missed revenue, and competitors on a map, you stop selling and start agreeing on a start date.

  • Data-first outreach flips the dynamic: arriving with a diagnosis instead of a proposal removes the trust-me friction from the first conversation.
  • Charging even a nominal fee for an audit creates pre-commitment that makes the follow-on sales call worth three to five times more than a free one.
  • Running the audit live on the call collapses the distance between identifying a problem and agreeing to fix it -- there is no gap to lose the prospect in.
  • Showing a business owner they do not appear in ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok for their category is a fresh credibility move that most competitors have not made yet.
  • A heat map showing ranking drop-off by neighborhood turns vague SEO claims into a geographically specific problem the owner can point to on a screen.
  • The fastest client-acquisition engine is conversations per day, not SEO skill level -- any tool that raises that number compounds faster than technical expertise alone.
  • Proactive audits for cold prospects reframe outreach as a gift rather than a pitch, changing the first-contact dynamic before you say a word.
  • A $5-$30/day Meta ad budget targeting Business Page admins generates a consistent flow of pre-interested leads without cold calls or referrals.
  • White-labeling a capability you do not build yourself lets you present authority in tools and data your competitors have not thought to acquire.
  • Revenue Opportunity framing -- showing total addressable market before quoting your fee -- is a reliable way to make a $500/month retainer feel like a rounding error.
Glossary

Terms worth knowing.

Google Business Profile (GBP)
The free listing that appears in Google Maps and local search results showing a business's name, address, hours, and reviews. Optimization determines how prominently it ranks for local searches.
Map-pack ranking
The set of three local business listings Google displays above organic results for location-based queries, driven by proximity, relevance, and GBP optimization signals.
Heat map audit
A visualization overlaying a business's local search ranking position across a geographic grid for a given keyword, showing where they rank well and where competitors dominate.
AI Visibility Report
A report checking whether a business is mentioned or recommended in responses from major AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Llama) for relevant local queries.
White-label
Rebranding a vendor's product as your own -- in this context, hosting the audit tool on a custom domain with the agency's logo so clients see the agency's brand, not Merchynt's.
Revenue Opportunity
An estimate of total market revenue available if a business captured all local demand for their category and geography, used to frame the agency's monthly fee as a small percentage of potential upside.

00:00This is a local marketing audit that takes less than a minute to generate and has your logo on it so that you can get small business owners interested in your marketing service without having to call call them. I'm going to show you exactly how this works for agencies like yours. If you sell local SEO or Google Business Profile Optimization, then you already know that fulfillment is not the hardest problem anymore because you're probably already using automated tools like Page to do it all.
00:24The hardest part is truly just getting busy business owners to care about your pitch, and that's exactly what this tool does. It doesn't just tell them that their business could be better. It tells them exactly what they need to do to rank higher on Google Maps and get more calls and breaks down who their competitors are and so much more.
00:42These tools are used by over 500 fast growing agencies. And in this video, I'm going to show you step by step exactly what they're doing to attract clients and convert them to be on paid retainers. We're about to cover three things very quickly.
00:55The first is how you set this up for your own agency in just five minutes. The next is what your clients and your leads can expect when they use this tool. And the third is going to be how other successful agencies are using this tool already to quickly grow their agencies.
01:09Let's jump right in. To start, this tool is available to marketing agencies in merchant's agency partner program. It is included as a perk.
01:15And once you have your partner program account set up, which only takes a couple minutes, you can easily set up your custom domain, which is where this tool is going to live. For this example, we have it set up on this domain here.
01:28And if we open it in another tab, we can see that it has ABC agency branding, which would be replaced with whatever your logo is or your company name so that it's fully branded as yours and on your own domain. Next up, you need to select how you want the leads that are using this tool to fill out information to get in touch with you.
01:46So if you want to collect more than just their email address and their business name, uh, during the audit process, then what you need to do is quickly put in your contact URL as well as your privacy policy and your terms URL. And then whenever somebody uses your tool to generate that report that I showed you, it's going to throw a pop up that looks like this, which gives you consent to text them or email them or call them or whatever you wanna do to follow-up with these leads.
02:08If we continue down here, you can see a list of the different people that have used this audit tool so that you know who's using it and how many of them you're actually selling your service to. We also integrate with a Zapier trigger and webhooks so that you can integrate this tool with whatever your lead funnel looks like so that as leads come in through this audit tool, they go into your CRM or your text messaging tool or whatever it is that you want to stay on top of your leads with so you can sign up as many of them as possible.
02:37The goal is for this to bring in leads while you sleep. Let me show you an actual example of how this works. Now that we have our white label domain set up, all that we need to do is place it somewhere on our website or where we're communicating with leads.
02:48So let's say you put a audit your business button on your homepage and someone clicks on it, they're going to see something that looks like this. I'm going to go ahead and say connect Google business profile to start. I'm going to pick my email address that I want to continue with, which is the one that manages my Google business profile.
03:01And now I'm going to see a list of all the Google business profiles that I manage. I'm gonna click on this one. Let's walk through an actual report so you can see what your leads are going to see when they run an audit on your own tool.
03:12The first thing they get is an optimization score that shows them how optimized their Google business profile currently is as well as a complete summary of everything they're doing well and not doing well so that they can understand why they got that score. Also, that you know what to really talk about when you meet with them.
03:27Next up, they can see the revenue that they're missing, which takes a look at how many people are in their area for their target audience and how much they typically spend each month to put together a market opportunity size that represents how much money they could earn if they were to win the entire market.
03:43This allows you as the agency to pitch your services and explain that although your service is, say, 500 or $1,000 a month, uh, the total revenue opportunity for them is significantly larger than that. So it's well worth the investment into your service. Next up, we're going to see the audit results looking at a report card style, easy to follow report that shows what they're doing well on and what they're not doing well on so they know what they need to fix and just how much they need your help.
04:11You're going to notice that there are these get in touch buttons. Well, you set up these redirect links when setting up the platform to bring them to maybe your contact page or your meeting, uh, link or anywhere else that you wanna send people to go further down the funnel if they want to get in touch with you after running this audit.
04:27Next up, they're going to see their top competitors for their target keywords in their area so they can easily see where they're located, how many reviews they have, what their rating is. And then here, you're going to get AI powered recommendations for things that they should change on their Google business profile, including the reviews that are negative that might be against Google's terms and, uh, of service so that they can go and flag them with Google for removal.
04:50Next up is they're going to get an AI visibility report that will show them for the most popular six AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, and Gemini, how are they ranking.
05:00And in this case, they were not found anywhere in the results, which again is something that you can help them with, especially if you are using the page platform to do fulfillment. And next up, we get to see heat maps that will show for their different target keywords that they put in when they started the audit, how well they're ranking.
05:17So in this case, for the keyword paralegal services near me, they're ranking number one here, but they're already number 15 as we get to the to the outskirts of town. And if you click on any of these areas, you can actually see a competitor drill down to see which businesses were ranking above you and below you as well as how many reviews they have and what their star rating was, and this works for all of the different, uh, audit areas.
05:43Something else really cool worth mentioning is you can completely customize the style of these heat map. If we click back over to the configuration area, you can see that we have many different styles of audit heat maps that you can choose from, and you can also, uh, customize what the colors are for the different, uh, rank positions so that it better matches your agency's branding or whatever colors you think make the most sense.
06:05Finally, if they keep scrolling, they can see the results for all of the different keywords that they try to audit, which we allow to three, and then a final call to action for them to get in touch with you so that hopefully you can get them on a call and sell them on your services. Also, what's happening as soon as this generates is you are getting an email with them cc'd along with the results of this audit so that if you want, you can easily just reply to that email to get in touch with them and set up a time to talk.
06:32As you can see, this tool is designed to educate small business owners as to what they need to do to fix on their online profiles and the opportunity if they do fix it. And as they're going to see, there is probably so much they need to do, which is why they need your help and expertise. This tool literally pays for itself in no time.
06:51Let's talk about the three different ways that marketing agencies are currently using this to get clients on demand. The first is they put it as a free audit on their website. So they'll do something like what we do on our website.
07:04If I go to it, merchant.com, you can see a see your rankings button as well as a start free rank audit button. Both of these are going to bring people to our audit tool.
07:15So you should do the same on your website to get people while you sleep, and you can also put your audit link anywhere that you're having conversations with potential business owners. For example, if you are active in a Facebook group or on Reddit or any other forum, you might want to just throw your audit link in there and say, will give a free audit to the first 50 people that click this link or anything else they think makes sense based on how that community is working.
07:41The second way that agencies are using this audit tool are by actually charging for audits. So they'll call a business and they'll say, hey. For anywhere between $49 and $499, I will audit your business and then we'll set up a fifteen minute call to review my findings and I'll tell you everything that you need to do to improve your local rankings.
08:02And then what they do is just run an audit using this tool on that lead's behalf and then walk them through all of the findings. And the reason why this is a very important and useful strategy is because if you get someone to agree to pay for an audit and a consultation call, they already have some skin in the game.
08:19They already put some chips into the pot, and so they're way more likely to agree to sign up for your services than someone that you offered, uh, to do a free one with. And that brings me to the third path, is calling people and asking them if they'd like to do a quick audit of their local presence where you get them on a quick call and you run them through the process of doing the audit together and review the results together.
08:42And you just kind of walk them through without report saying while pitching your services and how you can help them. And again, if you are using page to do your client fulfillment, then everything that this report is talking about gets handled automatically by page. So you don't need to worry about how you can actually help them with some of these items.
08:59Now let's talk about the way that some of our fastest growing agency partners are using this tool, which is by spending only 5 to $30 a day on meta ads pitching a audit call where they are charging people for an audit and then they run the audit in real time with them on a call and then they sell them the services. And the reason that this is so helpful is because Facebook and Instagram are full of small business owners that are easy to target using just that business page admin filter for the ads.
09:32And it's not crazy difficult to target them and have creatives that are talking about free local marketing audit, see why you're not ranking number one, get more customers from ChatGPT, and that kind of messaging is resonating extremely well right now. So you might be thinking to yourself, I'm not active in Facebook groups and I don't get many people on my website, so how am I going to get people to use this?
09:57Well, the answer is you'll either have to start cold calling people and getting them to do this audit in either a paid or a free way, or you can start running ads pretty easily on Meta that are targeting people that want an audit, which you can either charge for or you can just bring them to the link for free to do the audit so you can collect their information and then call them as a much warmer lead.
10:18As you saw in the setup of this, you don't need to be a technical expert to figure out how to stand up your own local marketing audit. You just have to join Merchant's agency partner program to get access to this tool. The agencies that are winning clients and growing the fastest are not the best at SEO.
10:34They're just the best at starting conversations because they know the tricks that they can use to get a business owner to pay attention to them, and this is a secret tool in their arsenal and you should use it too. The good news is that to try this out, you don't need to pay anything. You can actually just head over to Merchant's website and click on the button that says see your rankings and run this audit either for your agency's own Google business profile or use it on one of your clients.
10:58They're not going to see that you use this tool as long as you log in using your own agency's email address. Lastly, you might be wondering if you can use this tool to proactively send audits to business owners that you haven't yet started a conversation with, and the answer is yes. We built this out so that you can also get in here and do it for businesses as long as they have an address that you don't manage.
11:18So if I want to run an audit for this business, I'll just search them by name, and then I'm going to put in a quick overview of what this business is, which is pest control. And next, the tool is going to suggest up to three keywords that I should audit for them because these are the ones that are gonna drive the most number of customers to them.
11:37I'm just gonna pick pest control. Here I can say, okay. They probably care more about this area and let's make it a little bit larger.
11:44And now I'll say start audit. Just like that, you can see the audit is generated and you can wait for it to come into your inbox and send them that link, or or you can just grab the URL at the top of the screen and send this to the lead to review. I hope this video was super helpful for you because all I want you to do is grow your agency.
12:01And if you want more information about Merchant or the agency partner program that we offer, head on over to merchant.com and click over to where it says agency program. And if you have any questions, please put them in the comment section below and I'll personally get back to you. Thank you.
The Hook

The bait, then the rug-pull.

The audit report loads before a single word of pitch -- a 39% optimization score, a heat map showing ranking gaps across town, and a $275,000/month Revenue You're Missing figure that does more selling in thirty seconds than most cold calls do in ten minutes. What follows is a step-by-step walkthrough of how agencies are building their entire client-acquisition machine on top of one white-labeled tool.

  2. Paid audit $49-$499 (pre-commitment before the sales call)
  3. Live audit on call (run the report while pitching)
