Big Idea

The argument in one line.

The real driver behind good creative and business work is not more strategy or analysis, but a daily practice of accessing an inner state she calls 'the power,' a wordless awareness beneath thought.

Who This Is For

Read if. Skip if.

READ IF YOU ARE…
  • A creator or online business owner who feels burned out on tactics and wants a grounding daily practice instead of another framework.
  • Someone curious about contemplative or non-dual practices, like witness consciousness or mantra meditation, applied to creative and business work.
  • A highly sensitive person looking for a way to stay resilient while making content or running a business.
SKIP IF…
  • You want concrete marketing tactics, templates, or step-by-step business strategy. This video has almost none.
  • You're not open to spiritual or new-age framing and want secular, data-backed advice instead.
TL;DR

The full version, fast.

The video argues that strategy and analysis cannot substitute for a direct, non-analytical inner state she calls 'the power,' the witness awareness behind personality, name, and roles. She frames years spent chasing frameworks and whiteboards, and even AI-generated content, as wasted without that foundation, since she says AI can copy her voice but not replace the devotion that makes work land with people. The video teaches a two-step daily practice: settle compulsive thinking with the mantra 'my thoughts do not mean anything,' then deliberately expand awareness outward into what she calls the field of consciousness. She presents this practice, done consistently, as what let her run a business and YouTube channel for 16 years with no television and minimal social media use.

Chapters

Where the time goes.

00:00 – 00:37

01 · Cold open: the power runs everything

Cold open teaser repeating the video's core claim: accessing 'the power' is what makes a business, YouTube channel, and creative direction actually work.

00:38 – 03:25

02 · Why this is spiritual work, not strategy

She frames her coaching and content work as fundamentally spiritual and argues that good work requires access to an inner 'power,' not just more teaching frameworks.

03:25 – 04:41

03 · You can't think or AI your way to real work

She describes cloning her own voice with AI to make faceless YouTube videos, then argues that AI and pure analysis can't substitute for the devotion required to make work people actually connect with.

04:41 – 07:29

04 · What 'the power' actually is: the witness, the field

She defines 'the power' as the witness, the observing awareness behind personality, name, gender, and social roles, distinguishing intellectual knowledge of this idea from actually abiding in it daily.

07:29 – 09:52

05 · The daily practice: no TV, guarded attention

She describes her own daily practice: no television for 13-plus years, locking her phone away for hours at a time, and treating that guarded attention as what protects access to the power.

09:52 – 13:23

06 · Guided practice: "my thoughts do not mean anything"

She leads a guided mantra practice, repeating "my thoughts do not mean anything" to create distance from compulsive thinking and settle the mind.

13:23 – 15:49

07 · Expanding your awareness into the field

After settling the mind, she guides expanding awareness outward into what she calls "the field of consciousness," a state she says can be held with eyes open during work or meetings.

15:49 – 19:02

08 · The power as love, joy, and resilience

She defines the power as love, joy, and peace, and frames the daily practice as what keeps a highly sensitive person resilient when setbacks inevitably happen.

19:02 – 19:27

09 · Resource and sign-off

She recommends Suzanne Giesemann's guided meditation tracks as a deeper resource and signs off encouraging viewers to cut out television and keep building the power.

Atomic Insights

Lines worth screenshotting.

  • Analyzing your way to a successful YouTube channel or business fails because some decisions only come from a non-analytical inner state, not from more thinking.
  • The core practice is two steps: quiet the mind with a repeated mantra, then deliberately expand awareness outward into what she calls the field.
  • 'The power' is defined as the witness behind personality, name, gender, and roles, not a religious concept but a direct experiential state.
  • The mantra 'my thoughts do not mean anything' is used to create enough distance from compulsive thinking to settle the mind in under a minute.
  • Years spent trying to figure out a YouTube channel or a life plan with pure analysis are described as largely wasted effort compared to building a daily contemplative practice.
  • Guarding attention by cutting out television for over a decade and limiting phone use is framed as the discipline that protects access to the power.
  • Being a highly sensitive person without a grounding daily practice is described as a source of fragility that a consistent practice is meant to offset.
  • AI can clone her voice and generate faceless videos that make money, but she argues AI cannot replace the devotion required for work people actually connect with.
  • The expanded-awareness exercise is meant to be usable with eyes open during meetings or content creation, not just during seated meditation.
Takeaway

Access to "the power" beats more strategy

INNER PRACTICE

She argues that a daily, embodied practice of accessing a non-analytical inner state does more for creative and business work than any framework, and teaches the two-step exercise she uses to get there.

02Why this is spiritual work, not strategy
  • Treating creative and business work as fundamentally spiritual, not just tactical, is presented as what separates work people are proud of from work that just performs.
  • A roster of analysts, coaches, and frameworks is acknowledged as useful, but positioned as incomplete without a grounding inner practice behind it.
03You can't think or AI your way to real work
  • Using AI to clone your voice or generate faceless content can make money short-term, but is framed as no substitute for the devotion that makes work land with people.
  • Trying to skip straight to a finished result, a video, a post, a business decision, without the underlying process is described as producing work that's missing something real.
04What "the power" actually is: the witness, the field
  • The power is defined as the witness, the awareness that notices your thoughts, name, and roles rather than being identical to them.
  • Knowing a concept intellectually, having heard it a million times, is distinguished from actually abiding in it as a lived, daily state.
05The daily practice: no TV, guarded attention
  • A documented decade-plus without television and regular stretches with the phone locked away are offered as the concrete discipline behind an abstract practice.
  • Protecting unstructured attention is framed as a prerequisite for creative direction, not an optional lifestyle preference.
06Guided practice: "my thoughts do not mean anything"
  • The mantra "my thoughts do not mean anything" is taught as a repeatable tool, not a one-time insight, used specifically to interrupt compulsive thinking.
  • The practice is described as working in under two minutes: mantra, notice the mind settle, repeat as needed when it speeds back up.
07Expanding your awareness into the field
  • After the mind settles, deliberately widening attention outward into a broader field is taught as a second, distinct step from simply quieting thoughts.
  • This expanded-awareness state is framed as portable, usable with eyes open while working, in meetings, or on camera, not confined to seated meditation.
08The power as love, joy, and resilience
  • The power is equated with love, joy, and peace rather than a technique for getting more; the payoff described is resilience, not output.
  • Being highly sensitive is reframed from a liability into the reason a daily grounding practice matters more, since setbacks hit harder without it.

metaphorstory
when you build the power and when you actually abide in the power you're then fused with the one and you're in that power and that power starts to direct your life and it starts to guide your way and it starts to say talk about this on your youtube channel talk about this in your emails offer this in your offer suite there's no shortage of the whiteboards and the the arrows and the doodads and all the strategy and all the stuff it's all irrelevant if you don't have access to the power.
If you have access to the power all that other stuff falls right into place.
Hey, today we're going to build the power. You're going to sit in the power with me. We're going to talk about the power.
We're going to abide in the power. We're going to bask in the power. And this is all going to result in, if I could tell you on building the power and all that stuff, it's going to result in a much greater capacity for you to do your life's work in this world.
What we're doing here, as far as me helping you to build your business, grow your business, create excellent content and all of that stuff, this is actually... very spiritual in nature for me. This is kind of everything.
It is a creative path. This is a creative journey. And building the power in my own life is something that helps me to do this work in a way that I'm really proud of.
And I'm always wanting, here's what I really want. I really want for you to create work that you're really proud of. But here's the thing that's missing nowadays.
And there's all kinds of analysts and business teachers and educators and online business coaches, and I'm here for all of it. Everything has its place and everyone has their own unique facet. My unique facet to the whole thing is that I don't believe you can do good work without being in touch with the source, with the power.
I don't believe that you can analyze yourself into a successful YouTube channel. I also don't believe that you can analyze yourself into a successful business. I personally can't.
I personally can't. I know that there are some business owners, for instance, I'm sure there's plenty of billionaires out there who I heard of a billionaire recently who said he doesn't do any introspection. So to each their own.
But I personally don't feel that I could do the work that I'm doing adequately without having access to the power. If you're new to my work, I've been doing. some form of creative expression as a as a mode of promoting my business for the past 16 years this world is being kind of torn apart and the creative process is being torn apart and kind of bastardized with the with the advent of generative ai so i cloned myself using ai uploaded two faceless videos to youtube and made money but what i wanted to now do is come up with some better ideas here and so i'm going to say come up with a few different ideas that you can use to grow on instagram in less than 15 minutes per day relying on ai pull out your phone open up your dictation app and read this to your ai you are my ruthless mentor helping me dream bigger people are trying to circumvent the creative process and assuming that you can just hurry up and get to the end result and meanwhile it's devoid of the actual you know the process and so if we're going to have a successful youtube channel if we're going to have a successful business if we're going to write things that people want to read if we're going to have emails that people want to open if you're going to talk in the ca into the camera in a way that people really
open up their ears and listen to what they have what you have to say that requires a certain level of power we could call it light we could call it love we call it devotion there's lots of different words that we could ascribe to this thing that i'm kind of dancing around i almost want to refuse to like put a label on it but the creative process in if you want to create youtube videos and podcasts and all the stuff It's not something that you're going to get to just with your brain.
You can't get there with just your brain. You can't. It requires a level of power, devotion, that electricity, that certain something, that special something.
Look, I'm not sitting here saying I'm some kind of Michael Bay or whatever. I'm saying that what I'm really passionate about and helping you to do and how we're getting to the prosperity and how we're growing our business and how we're growing our YouTube channel through building the power.
And so I don't usually talk all that much about, um, esoteric things on my channel. I do sometimes, but I don't really, I don't outright and overtly talk about, um, you know, new age concepts here and not because I'm averse to them, but just because I'm really all about getting to work. And I feel like most of the time the work is where we access the power.
And Sitting down and focusing your mind is where you access the power. But there's a lot of conjecture out here about the right way and the wrong way to do online business, the right way and the wrong way to build a YouTube channel, the right way and the wrong way to do a podcast, so on and so on and so forth.
We have lots of different people with their whiteboards trying to break down the analytics dashboard and all that stuff. That's not personally been my MO for the last 16 years. For the last 16 years, I leaned into building the power.
So if I could just share with you, let me stop talking around and dancing around it. The power being, it almost feels that every time I try to talk about it, it kind of cheapens it. So there's only so far that I can take you with the understanding, which is why I'm going to just offer you a quick practice.
But the power is more or less what I'm pointing to is you, your actual true self. your true nature, the witness. You can also call it the witness consciousness.
And you can also call it the field.
We're not talking religious ideologies here. I'm talking about the direct experiential knowing. So it's you, the witness, not your personality, not your name, not your gender, not your roles and all that stuff.
Most of the people who are watching this, you're well -versed. You're well -versed in what I'm talking about right now. But now, here's the thing.
Most of us know about this stuff logically because we've been seeped in it for the past couple decades. We've had access to the internet, so we've been taking in lots and lots of spiritual teachings. And I'm one of those people.
I've been studying spirituality and self -development since I was like 16 years old. It's one thing to think about it, okay? But it's a whole other thing to actually abide in the power and to build the power.
And for me, I'm just going to talk about for me, for me to build the power, to abide in the power, this is a daily practice. So if I could share a little bit, a little insight into my life, I'm rather private, but I've talked about this before that I don't have a television and I haven't had a television for the last 13 or so years.
It might be longer, 13 years or so. I don't have a television. I live a very monastic lifestyle.
Not that that's required, but that's just what my nature, that's just how I like to live my life is to be rather leaning into the monastic kind of lifestyle where I like peace and quiet. I like no television. I like to lock my phone away in a box for many days at a time or many hours per day.
And what's left over when you get rid of all the junk that our world deems as normal is and also once you let your mind settle down a little bit what's left over is in the power so the power in building that power in we could also call it the ability to just be here to just be here without without all the trappings that the mind will take you under at any given moment it'll say oh good you want to worry about stuff let's worry about stuff you want to You want to get something or you want to manifest something?
Let's spend the next four fucking years trying to manifest a thing. Let's get our vision boards out. Let's focus our minds on all the things we want instead of building the power.
The funny thing is when you build the power and when you actually abide in the power, you're then fused with the one that is you. that is everything and you're in that power and that power starts to direct your life and it starts to guide your way and it starts to say talk about this on your youtube channel talk about this in your emails offer this in your offer suite build your business this way you know you start to get insights and creative creative direction and you start to move with a more deliberate focus and you're not kind of clamoring trying to figure this whole thing out.
You'll notice that there's no shortage of the whiteboards and the arrows and the doodads and all the strategy and all the stuff. And you could spend years wasting your time trying to pressure yourself into figuring this whole thing out. You could spend years trying to figure your life out.
It's all moot. It's all irrelevant. if you don't have access to the power.
If you have access to the power, all that other stuff falls right into place. The path is made clear and smooth, and you really do start to flow with your work. And not just that, but with the rest of your life.
So going back to the definition of what is the power, the power is that which you truly are, the source that is everything. Let's not get stuck in concepts though, because we've all heard this a million times. Let's actually go into the direct experience of it.
So if you're not your name and you're not your gender and you're not your roles and you're not all the stuff and you simply just let go just for right this second, can you just let go of trying to figure out life and trying to figure out who and what you are? and trying to figure out what you should do with your youtube channel and trying to figure out what you should do with your business and trying to figure anything out if you just let go of that for a moment and then you watch whatever else arises and you let go of that as well and whatever else arises you don't grab onto it you just let it go and now that the mind is maybe partially settled if you want to take a seat hopefully you're already sitting but if you want to take a seat and just really lean back into whatever chair you're sitting in i typically like to close my eyes for this and i like to start with the one center point right here i don't really care so much for focusing on my breath but i do get my mind settled with the pebble of an idea and usually that's something from a course in miracles a really good one
that I'm going to give you in today's episode is my thoughts do not mean anything. So my thoughts do not mean anything is a nice little wedge between you and your mind that gives you enough space to disengage from the thoughts. So my thoughts do not mean anything can get you out of any sticky territory anytime, whether it's your business, your life situations, whatever.
My thoughts do not mean anything. Your mind wants to take you on a little tornado ride. My thoughts do not mean anything.
Okay, cool. Now my thoughts do not mean anything. Now there's a little space there.
Let's lean back even farther. My thoughts do not mean anything. You're now centered hopefully into your body.
My thoughts do not mean anything, dropping it in. Again, you can use it the same as you would a mantra.
And then going to the next phase from this, see the mind says, basically the mind says, okay, let's get this over with, right? The mind says, what's next? What's next?
And so We notice that too. My thoughts do not mean anything.
The mind wants to hurry up and get to the next thing, the next video, the next scroll or whatever. Okay, cool.
Now my thoughts do not mean anything.
You'll notice that now the mind is a little bit more settled than it was before. My thoughts do not mean anything.
So now you're more here.
All of you is now more here.
So there's more to work with now. Now that you're all here, now that your mind and body and spirit are all here online, let's push the bounds of your consciousness out. So taking a deep breath in, And then exhaling with your mouth letting the mind expand out.
Now, if you open your eyes or if your eyes were already open and your mind is expanded outwards, the bounds of your consciousness is expanded outwards. It's watching me, of course, but at the same time, you can have your eyes open and have your mind out, kind of merge with the field of consciousness, dancing with the field of consciousness, aware that your mind is out in the field of consciousness.
and also these thoughts do not mean anything so you're not really paying attention to your thoughts all that much most of our thoughts are meaningless most of our thoughts are nonsense most of our thoughts are kind of toxic especially nowadays so these thoughts do not mean anything my thoughts do not mean anything and also expanding your awareness out and about you could take this with you to meetings you could take this with you as you're creating your content what this does is when you merge your mind with the field of all that is and you're doing this deliberately instead of being stuck up here trying to figure things out now maybe you might see how that liberated a lot of that stuck kind of we've taken the aperture of your mind from right here super super myopic and now we've expanded the aperture of your mind out into the field of all that is and when you expand your mind out into the field of all that is you're building the power And the power is love, by the way.
The power is joy. The power is the peace that passeth all understanding. So once again, very important.
This is not a concept. This is actually a direct experience. And the direct experiential knowing of that power as a practice every day to fill up your cup with that power, that really does make you impervious to all the nonsense that might occur out.
in your day -to -day life. The nonsense is a guarantee, but it's not so much a guarantee that you have your mind attached to the correct thing so that when the nonsense does happen, that you're not just completely crumbled by it, that you're not so impacted by it, that you're not so fragile. Hopefully you can see this is something that I personally experience as a highly sensitive person that being highly sensitive, there's a certain fragility that comes with my system if I'm not anchored into something so powerful as the force, the field, the all that is -ness.
If I'm tapped into that all the time as I'm doing my work, as I'm going through life, as I'm facing whatever kind of nonsense might happen, whatever does and does not happen doesn't really matter because i am consciously connected with the power okay so this is something that most of us especially the highly sensitive ones have been doing on accident since we were children but it's really important because this world will take it from you your attention that is and the world will take from you the the um the ability to just seamlessly know that you are one with all that is, it will gladly, you give it an inch, it'll take a mile.
That's why I got rid of my television.
That's why I don't do things like scrolling on social media all that much. Every so often I do pop in there and I say, yeah, still not for me, still toxic wasteland. That's why I don't use AI, by the way.
And that's a different episode for a different day. But I hope that you found this helpful. To get a little bit more information on building the power, I'd like to offer you a resource.
And that is Suzanne Giesemann has a series of meditations that are just incredible. And Suzanne Giesemann is one of my spiritual teachers. I'm very lucky that I got to train with her in a couple different formats.
And she really helped me to solidify this building the power thing. That was the first time I'd ever had a name ascribed to it. It's something I've been doing since I was a small child.
But she gives a very direct kind of set of exercises that are incredible, that I really enjoy. I'm not sponsored, not affiliated. I'm just a huge lover of them.
the, the way that she approaches building the power. So I'm going to put a link to the meditation tracks and I'm trying to remember the company that created them. At any rate, I'll put the link for the meditation tracks where she has something called the training ground, where it's all just basically the practice of sitting in the power.
And it more or less mirrors what I just gave to you, but in the, in like a 45 minute long form fashion. So I hope you've enjoyed building the power, learning about building the power. Hopefully this gives you some agency to lean all the way into your crazy alien self, throw your TV in the landfill and enjoy building the power all day long.
I'll see you in the next episode.
The Hook

The bait, then the rug-pull.

She opens mid-thought, as if picking up a conversation already in progress: access the power, or the frameworks and strategy don't matter. The rest of the video is her case for why, and a guided practice for doing it.

Frameworks

Named ideas worth stealing.

10:49model

Building the power (two-step daily practice)

  1. Settle the mind with a repeated mantra: "my thoughts do not mean anything"
  2. Deliberately expand awareness outward into what she calls the field of consciousness

A two-step contemplative practice: first quiet compulsive thinking with a short mantra, then consciously widen attention outward. She calls the result "building the power" and treats it as the real source of her creative and business direction.
