Big Idea
The argument in one line.
A funnel built around one optimized profile, fed by organic content and paid ads together, beats VSL and webinar funnels on cost-per-lead trend, durability, and long-term asset value because it converts strangers into a standing audience of buyers instead of a one-time list.
Who This Is For
Read if. Skip if.
READ IF YOU ARE…
You run a coaching, consulting, or agency business and currently rely on a VSL or webinar funnel to get clients.
You already post on Instagram but have no system for turning followers into booked calls.
You're already spending on ads and want a framework for judging whether that spend is building an asset or just buying leads.
You want a concrete method for tracing which specific ad produced which paying client.
SKIP IF…
You're not selling a service or high-ticket offer; this funnel is built around one-to-one client acquisition, not ecommerce or low-ticket products.
You want tactical how-to on shooting or editing Instagram reels; this is funnel architecture, not a production guide.
You're looking for a free, organic-only strategy; paid ads are presented as the part that makes this different from organic alone.
TL;DR
The full version, fast.
This breaks down a 'Profile Funnel,' a system claimed to have turned $38,000 in Instagram ad spend into $457,500 in one month. The foundation is three organic content jobs, reels for traffic, comments for trust, story sequences for conversion, aimed at one optimized profile rather than a landing page. Paid story and video ads then push qualified followers into that profile on autopilot. Breakdown videos, the profile page, and hundreds of daily DM conversations move followers toward a call or direct checkout. The video argues this beats VSL and webinar funnels on cost per lead (falling instead of rising as the audience grows), on durability (it keeps converting during a slow month), and on what it leaves behind after a year: an audience of buyers instead of an old recording.

Opens with a claim of $457,000 made in one month and previews a three-part breakdown: the funnel itself, why it's argued to be stronger, and the clients it's produced for.
00:50 – 02:15
02 · Three content pillars
Argues people increasingly buy from a trusted person, not a commoditized product, and lays out three content jobs: reels for traffic, comments for trust, story sequences for conversion.
02:15 – 04:08
03 · Proof wall and the long-form close
Shows named client results as proof the system works across niches, then frames long-form video as the format that does the actual converting before paid traffic is added.
04:08 – 06:07
04 · Paid ads: $38K in, $457K out
Breaks down a month of ad spend: about $38,000 for over 8,000 new followers at under $5 each, framed as a 12x return on ad spend.
06:07 – 07:19
05 · How the DMs convert to money
Breakdown videos and an optimized profile page feed hundreds of daily DM conversations, routed through a CRM-style inbox, into booked calls or direct checkout.
07:19 – 09:30
06 · The comparison begins
Opens a four-way scorecard against VSL funnels, webinar funnels, and pure organic: whether each works with zero ad spend, minimum ad spend required, and what limits scale.
09:30 – 12:21
07 · Cost per lead, ownership, durability
Argues cost per lead falls as a profile-based audience grows, unlike VSL and webinar funnels, and that after a year it leaves behind an audience of buyers rather than an old recording.
12:21 – 15:17
08 · Single point of failure and the 3-year test
Walks through what each funnel type is vulnerable to (ad account bans, webinar attendance, the algorithm), what a competitor can copy, and which funnel types are expected to still work in three years.
15:17 – 16:41
09 · Tracing a client back to one ad
Demonstrates filtering a CRM-style lead inbox by acquisition source, then selecting one ad ID out of 129 run that month to see every lead and client it produced.
16:41 – 18:24
10 · The client wall
Scrolls a grid of client screenshots spanning sales, Airbnb arbitrage, life insurance, hypnotism, and personal branding, each labeled with a before-and-after monthly revenue range.
18:24 – 18:47
11 · Sign-off and the call to action
Closes by inviting viewers to message on Instagram or book a call to see if the funnel applies to their niche.
Atomic Insights
Lines worth screenshotting.
A $38,000 Instagram ad spend that generated $457,500 in one month is claimed as a 12x return on ad spend.
With a VSL or webinar funnel, what you own after a year is an old video or old recordings; with a profile-based funnel, the claim is you own an audience of buyers.
Cost per qualified follower is argued to fall as a profile's audience grows, while cost per lead on a VSL funnel tends to rise over time.
A webinar funnel is said to typically need $200 to $500 a day in ad spend to launch profitably; a profile-based funnel can start producing at $20 a day.
If a business stops running ads for a month, a pure paid-traffic funnel stops producing entirely, while an audience-based funnel is claimed to keep converting on existing followers.
Every lead can be traced back to the specific ad that produced it by filtering leads by ad ID inside a CRM-style inbox.
A competitor can copy a VSL or webinar funnel's entire structure once they've seen it; the claim is they can only copy a profile-based creator's topics, not the relationship already built.
Running over 129 ads in a single month is presented as what makes attributing revenue to one specific ad possible at that scale.
A follower acquired through paid ads is claimed to cost under $5 while converting into clients paying $25,000 to $280,000 a month in services.
Organic content alone is described as flat and unpredictable because it depends entirely on posting volume and an algorithm the poster doesn't control.
The single point of failure in a VSL or webinar funnel is named as the ad account or live attendance; a profile-based funnel is claimed to have no single dependency because it runs on organic and paid traffic at once.
Clients shown on screen span unrelated niches, life insurance, Airbnb arbitrage, hypnotism, personal branding, sales, business coaching, offered as evidence the funnel structure isn't niche-specific.
Takeaway
Score any funnel on sixteen questions.
WHAT TO LEARN
The strength of a client-acquisition funnel isn't its conversion rate, it's what it costs over time, what breaks it, and what it leaves behind after a year of running it.
02Three content pillars
Treat content output as three separate jobs, traffic, trust, and conversion, rather than one generic feed, because a piece optimized for reach rarely also closes the sale.
People increasingly buy from a specific person they trust rather than a commoditized product, so the person behind the offer is the real differentiator worth building content around.
03Proof wall and the long-form close
Named, verifiable client results across multiple niches work as foundation-level proof before any pitch, establishing credibility before the ask rather than during it.
Longer-form content is positioned as the format that does the real converting, because duration buys the time needed to address objections and show a worked example.
A foundation of trust, not a single viral post, is what a paid-traffic layer gets added on top of; ads are framed as amplifying an already-converting asset, not replacing one.
04Paid ads: $38K in, $457K out
A reported 12x return on ad spend is backed by the exact spend and exact revenue figures, not just the ratio, which is what makes a claim like this checkable.
Under $5 per new qualified follower is treated as the unit economic worth tracking, not cost-per-click or cost-per-view, because the follower is the asset that later converts.
The recommended focus is optimizing the profile itself and running ads into it, not optimizing the ads alone, since an ad sending traffic to a weak profile wastes the spend.
05How the DMs convert to money
A breakdown video, a profile page, and high-volume DM conversations are named as the three places revenue actually gets captured, separate from the content that built the audience.
Hundreds of daily one-to-one conversations are described as the real sales mechanism behind a headline revenue number, not a single automated funnel step.
06The comparison begins
Judge a funnel by whether it produces anything at zero ad spend before judging it by its ceiling, since requiring upfront cash to work at all is a different risk category.
Minimum viable ad spend stated in concrete daily dollar ranges turns a vague 'it depends' into a number you can actually budget against.
What limits a funnel's scale differs by type, cold-traffic cost, audience attendance, or your own posting volume, so the bottleneck to solve for isn't the same for every funnel.
07Cost per lead, ownership, durability
A funnel where cost per lead falls as the audience compounds is structurally different from one where it rises with scale; check which direction your own numbers are moving, not just their current level.
What you're left with after a year, an old video, old recordings, or a standing audience, is argued as a better long-term metric than short-term conversion rate.
An audience that already has credibility is claimed to convert new followers more cheaply than a cold audience, so profile strength compounds in a way a single ad campaign doesn't.
Some funnel types improve the more you run them; others fatigue on repetition, so check which direction your specific format moves before making it a primary channel.
08Single point of failure and the 3-year test
Name the single point of failure for your own funnel, an ad account ban, low attendance, or an algorithm change, before scaling spend into it, not after it breaks.
A funnel's structure can be copied once a competitor has seen it; only the relationship and content history behind a profile-based approach resists direct copying.
Whether you're guessing or working from existing data when you spend is a real asset: prior content performance lets you reverse-engineer what worked instead of testing blind.
Ask which funnel types in your space will likely still work in three years given rising saturation, not just which converts best today, before building a business around one.
09Tracing a client back to one ad
Attribution worth trusting goes to the individual ad, not the campaign or platform-reported conversion, especially once you're running over a hundred ad variations in a month.
A CRM or inbox that lets you filter leads by acquisition source turns 'did the ads work' into a specific, checkable answer instead of a guess.
Tracking every lead back to its source ad is what lets you combine organic and paid data into one picture of what's actually producing revenue.
10The client wall
A funnel claimed to work 'regardless of niche' should show proof across genuinely unrelated niches, not just one vertical repeated with different names.
Before-and-after monthly revenue ranges, shown per client rather than aggregated, are a more checkable form of social proof than a single blended total.
Stage-by-stage client progression, where they started versus where they are now, is the data that actually supports a 'this works over time' claim, not a single snapshot number.
Glossary
Terms worth knowing.
Profile Funnel
A client-acquisition system built around optimizing a social profile as the conversion point, rather than a landing page, combining organic content with paid ads that send followers directly to that profile.
ROAS
Return on ad spend, the ratio of revenue generated to money spent on advertising; a 12x ROAS means $12 earned for every $1 spent.
Qualified follower
A new follower acquired specifically because they match the ideal customer profile a piece of content or an ad was built to attract.
Breakdown video
A long-form video in which a creator explains their own methods and results directly to their audience, used as a trust-building and conversion tool.
Cost per lead
The average amount spent on advertising to generate one new sales lead, calculated by dividing total ad spend by the number of leads produced.
“We spent 38,000 USD on ads and we made 457,000 US. Now, I'm talking about a massive scale of running this funnel ad, meaning we are at a 12X ROAS.”

metaphor
If you acquire clients online, you recently have been realizing that it becomes more and more difficult month over month. And the reasoning for this is very simple. The way you should acquire them is changing every single day without you realizing it.
Now, I'm not here to tell you at all what works best or what doesn't work at all, because in all honesty, if you put your head down, absolutely everything works. I'm just here to show you how we personally have been able to make $457 ,000 in the month of August using this exact system. Now you can see all the numbers here and I'm gonna break down everything in three simple steps.
The most important part is the exact funnel that we've been utilizing. The second thing is the reason I believe this to be the stronger funnel. And the third reason is the exact clients that we have been able to help that we currently actively work with that implement this funnel and the way it has changed their exact business.
The first thing that you need to understand, people start to love to buy from people and not from products anymore. Every day there are more people entering social media. There are more people making content.
There are more people acquiring customers. So the thing that separates you is not your product because your product is commoditized. The person behind the product Isn't and that is the reason why people ultimately buy now we can never build an audience if we don't create content and there are three pillars Responsible for exactly this and the first one is we need to attract new Qualified followers to come to our profile which is traffic without traffic.
We will never get known We won't never get sales because nobody knows about us. We need to educate people based on how we think for them to trust us instead of our competitors.
And we need to have converting content that actually gets them to buy. Because without that, they just love you, but they would never buy from you. And we do this simply through three different mechanisms.
The first one is Instagram reels. As you can see, I have loads of reels that gets an insane amount of views and give me an insane amount of leads. The second one is Instagram comments.
So if I can show you one here, for example, this one. we got 22 ,000 likes and we got six and a half thousand leads. The last one is Instagram story sequences.
And in all honesty, the economy is changing every single day. People don't love to be sold anymore. And you need to understand how not to sell while selling.
You do this through trust building. And one of the best ways is through Instagram story sequences. And the reason for this is because people love to follow a story.
For people to understand what you're about, why they should buy from you and how you think based on educating them around your offer. This is how we make millions every single year.
The moment this is all in place, we have built a great foundation. And you can see with myself that this is the case. You can see that with our clients, Ibrahim.
This is the exact same case, even though he's in a different niche. Same with Daniel. Same with Amr.
And same with Crystal. And you can see that they all have different types of content reasoning for this. It's because we built the content based on the type of ideal customer that they want to attract.
Now, when we look at this specific page, you can see that we have one left. Long -form YouTube content will help educate and convert, especially the second one, convert these customers. Because you can imagine, right, that the longer the duration, The more the customer gets to spend time with you, and if you have something to talk about that is interesting, if you have an offer that is representable, and if you educate your audience on your exact solution while tackling their pain points, just like I'm doing in this video, you'll get them to fall in love with you, and you'll get them to buy from you.
Now, when that is all said, the core foundation of the company is built. And there is only one step left. And this is the step that makes it different compared to any other funnel.
Which is, we can run simple story and video ads to get more leads on autopilot without even needing to think. about relying on organic content. And I'm gonna show you how we did this in the month of August.
We spent 140 ,000 dirham on ads, which equals to around $38 ,000. And we got over 8 ,000 followers. You can imagine that these numbers of conversion are absolutely unreal.
Meaning every single qualified follower that came to our profile We paid less than $5 for. And you can imagine that if every 50th or 100th follower converts into a high ticket customer, the amount of money that we make, because we spent 38 ,000 USD on ads and we made 457 ,000 US.
Now, I'm talking about a massive scale of running this funnel ad, meaning we are at a 12X ROAS. Normally, the lower you go, the higher the rise is, which is why every single business that acquires clients online should focus on two simple things.
Optimize your Instagram bio so well that your ideal customers would love to buy from you while spending a little to a high amount of money on ads, depending on your budget, to acquire more and more and more and more leads on simply autopilot because you just run the ads. and the Instagram profile is already converting in the first place.
So going back to this funnel, when we covered the nurturing part of all the organic content and the ads part on how we can attract leads on autopilot to give us more and more conversions over time, we kind of build ourselves as we realize it. an automated ecosystem, an ecosystem that feeds itself because even the organic content will also bring in more leads organically.
Now, then the second step is you actually need to make the money. A breakdown video is a video that shows your audience How you approach things, and the most absolute fucking perfect example of this is the one you're watching right now.
This is a breakdown video right now. I'm sitting here in Norway explaining you how I go about certain things and my results that currently back that up. The second thing is a profile page.
This is something that is similar to a landing page, but it's optimized specifically for the qualified followers that you're getting. If that is not enough, we have hundreds, if I go to Mochi, We have hundreds of conversations every single day with our ideal customers to get them interested in our services, as well as get them to understand why they're currently dealing with their pain.
And you can see here five hours ago, seven hours ago, eight hours ago, 10 hours ago. These are hundreds of conversations every single day for us to have the ability to get them either to speak with us or get them to pay for direct checkout. And that is exactly how we made $457 ,000 for this month.
Now, the question that you might have, why should this funnel be stronger than the current funnel that you're using or the funnel that you're not even using at all if you're not using any funnels? The first thing, does this work with zero ad spend? A VSL funnel doesn't work.
Neither does a webinar. And organic obviously does work without zero ad spend. That is why it's organic.
The profile funnel also works without ad spend. Minimum ad spend, at least 100 to 300 every single day. If you want to make a evergreen VSL funnel extremely profitable.
A webinar, you need a lot more money because normally this is a launch. You need 200 to $500 every single day. A organic funnel, you need nothing, but it's very slow.
and most likely unpredictable if this is the only thing that you're relying on. The profile funnel, I'd suggest to at least spend $20 per day minimum. Now, this is a suggestion.
Obviously, when you spend nothing, it will work, but it will go slower and you need to have more patience. Then, traffic on demand. The VSO funnel will give you this.
Good funnel for it. Same does the webinar funnel. Organic doesn't, you can't predict anything.
And obviously, the profile funnel does the same. The only difference is, it's not a view or a click, it's a qualified follower that you're paying for. What actually limits the scale?
With a VSL funnel, it's the cost of cool traffic. With the webinar, it's people showing up because you need to have a very high retention constantly throughout the webinar which is normally like two hours for them to actually have the chance to absorb all the information and then pay organic is depending on how much you post in all honesty and most people just optimize for quantity and not even focus on the quality at all if you see this funnel working for you you're obviously free to send me a message on instagram so i'll personally respond or one of my team members currently will that are currently here in norway together for us to help you get more clarity on where you're currently at and see if this funnel is even applicable to your exact niche at the moment Then we have cost per lead over time.
It constantly rises when you run the VSL funnel. With the webinar, it really depends. It doesn't have to rise at all because it's normally a one -time launch.
So it can become very successful even with very low lead cost. You have organic. which is flat, obviously, and the profile funnel, it falls.
And I'll tell you why. People would love to follow a profile that works and that has already a level of credibility. So the moment your audience grows, your cost per qualified follower falls instead of rises.
Then we have, what does your money actually buy for this? There's an interesting question that I always ask myself. Every single time I'm spending my time on doing something.
And for the VSO funnel, you have leads, then they're gone. The webinar, you have registrations, then they're gone. Maybe they get into some email funnel or email flow if you have and collected that.
But the quality of the email list, as you've most likely been experiencing, is very low. We don't want to rely on this. With organic, there's nothing really to spend on.
And with the profile funnel, you just don't get views in all honesty. You get qualified followers. So that follower is still a valuable asset to you within a year from now.
Then, what do you own after a year? So many people that acquire customers online look into short term, but I like to look into the long term. And the most beneficial question that we can ask ourselves is, what do we own after a year?
With the VSL funnel, we own an old video. With the webinar, we own old recordings. With organic, we own an audience, which is nice.
But with the profile funnel, you own an audience of buyers. Imagine every single time you put in work. That work isn't for nothing.
Get stronger the longer you run it. In all honesty, a VSL funnel does because you can constantly refine your ads and refine your VSL to make it a lot better, which is a strength there. Then the webinar funnel.
fatigues if you use the same copy the same approach and the same ad it will absolutely fatigue and it costs loads of time to set up an entire new webinar then organic is obviously amazing because you can constantly build and create better content same does count for the profile funnel what keeps working while you sleep let's think about this this is an interesting question only paid ads Only paid ads, also for the webinar.
Then we have old posts for organic. But for the profile funnel, your ads will still work while your organic also has its benefits and will absolutely work. So you have the strength of both there.
If you pause for a month, what happens? Now, if you are completely dependent on paid advertisement, it will stop. Because if you don't run any ads for a month, You don't make any money at all.
And this counts for any singular paid advertisement channel that you currently use, whether that's the VSO or the webinar. Now, with organic, it slowly decays. And the problem with this is if you don't post, your audience will slowly start to become deinterested.
And then the profile funnel, it keeps converting. At a certain point, obviously, when you don't create any content and you don't run any ads, everything will flop because you stopped working.
But the level of durability is way, way, way longer. I've seen people with amazing big audiences build over years, still convert hundreds of thousands of dollars after six months of non -posting, no running ads, which is insane because the quality of the audience that they've built is of very high quality. Single point of failure, ad account, VSL, because there are big claims in the ads.
You always have ad account problems. Attendance with the webinar. The algorithm with organic, because it's the only thing that you're relying on.
And with the profile funnel, it's technically nothing you don't control. What a competitor can copy. With the VSL funnel and the webinar funnel, unfortunately, they can copy your entire funnel if they know what you're doing.
With organic, they can copy your topics. And in all honesty, with the profile funnel, the same. They can also copy your topics.
This is very simple. If people know about you, they can copy you. Then we have what you know before you spend.
If you haven't run a VSL funnel before, you absolutely guess. Same does it count for a webinar funnel. And the interesting thing is this, obviously when you've tested, you can repeat it over time and you'll get better at it.
So it's not a guess that you make. Now with organic, you've nothing really to spend on in all honesty. And with...
the profile funnel you understand what content worked prior if you already have content created on your instagram funnel so you can see what worked really well and you can reverse engineer that exact same thing to now recreate better content and we have seen one thing the better content that we create over time is also the angles that we use in our ads to acquire new qualified Followers simply then what does still work in three years in my opinion?
We yourself funnel very unlikely because it becomes more saturated every single day It's a very evergreen funnel meaning you constantly need to put in so much effort to create the best angles, which is very, very time -constraining and very difficult to run and make profitable over time. Webinar, likely, it's a good funnel for this.
It will still work in a year. It will still work in three years if you're doing it very, very, very good. Then we have organic, which will obviously work.
So does the profile funnel. Where leads come from? Be yourself funnel, ad spend only, webinar ad spend only.
With organic, it's the algorithm. And with the profile funnel, it's both. And now I'm gonna show you something interesting.
Can we track predictably? With the VSL funnel, you absolutely can. With the webinar funnel, you absolutely can.
With content, in all honesty, with organic content, you partially can, but it's very difficult. With the profile funnel, yes, you can. And I'm gonna show you exactly how right now.
If we go to our filter, you can see that we almost have 20 ,000 active leads in here at the moment. These are the leads that we're in contact with or the qualified followers that we currently have. When we click on the filter button and we click on filter inbox, we can scroll down and we can source our leads.
Now, the interesting thing is we can track each customer and which ad that they came in from. by sourcing them by ad leads. When I click on ad leads, I can select a specific ad that I currently run.
And as you can see, because we made over 129 ads in the month of August, I might want to see how many leads and customers we got from ad 87, let's say. If I select ad leads, and then we can go to all our ads, to select the one that we desire to track.
So if you track all your ads, you can see exactly where your customers are coming from, which is one of the most valuable things because now we fully combine the power of organic and paid advertisement. Now, the interesting thing is the clients that you see here at the bottom are all at different stages and you can see the stage prior.
the moment they started with us and after the moment we built the profile funnel these are clients in an insane amount of different niches this means sales ai airbnb business we have life insurance we have a hypnotist we have a personal branding coach we have business offers we have a mindset offer emmer went from zero to 160k the one i show you prior earlier here we have Ben and Holly, who scaled an Airbnb offer from $5 ,000 to $32 ,000 a month.
We have Vegard. We have Dico. We have Antonio.
We have Jake, who focuses on professionals that really have no time in their existing career. Crystal, personal branding offer. Ibrahim, who is a hypnotist.
Hamad, focus on life insurance. Mark, business coach. Phil.
We have Josh Lyons. We have... Alex, we have Nicola, we have Salik, Carl.
An interesting thing is, for example, Josh is in sales. We have all these different offers and active clients that we're currently working with, and you can see the stage of where they started compared to where they're currently at. Now, if you have any questions for us specifically, feel free to send me a message on Instagram.
Otherwise, if you want to have a chat with us, you can book on a call in description to talk on how we will be able to help you implement this exact profile funnel and see if it's actually applicable for your niche and your current situation. I appreciate you for watching.
I went through a lot in today's video. Now it's time to get my little wine, sit outside, reflect a little bit more on life, and then I'll see you very soon in my DMs.
