Big Idea

The argument in one line.

AI agents work toward a goal on a schedule instead of answering one prompt, so a solo YouTuber can run daily niche research that used to need a team.

Who This Is For

Read if. Skip if.

READ IF YOU ARE…
  • A solo YouTuber who spends hours each week hunting for video ideas, outlier titles and thumbnail patterns in their niche.
  • A creator who uses ChatGPT for single prompts and wants to see what a scheduled, goal-driven agent job looks like in practice.
  • A small channel owner juggling YouTube with a job or studies who wants research to run overnight without opening a laptop.
SKIP IF…
  • You want a neutral tool comparison. The setup demo is built around Hostinger's paid plan and an affiliate code.
  • You already run scheduled agents with your own stack and want deeper prompt engineering than a copy-paste walkthrough.
TL;DR

The full version, fast.

AI agents differ from chatbots because you hand them a goal rather than a prompt, and they combine a language model brain, tools, and a loop that checks its own results. The creator shows five scheduled agent jobs in Hostinger that scan his niche and adjacent niches daily for outlier videos, packaging patterns and new ideas. To build one, you ask ChatGPT to draft the job prompt, paste it into the agent, confirm the brief, and schedule it. His argument is that this gives one person a team's research output, saves hours weekly, and backs content decisions with data.

Atomic Insights

Lines worth screenshotting.

  • A chatbot answers the prompt you typed, while an agent takes a goal and works out the steps itself.
  • Every agent combines three parts: a language model to plan, tools to act, and a loop that checks its own results.
  • Scheduling is the real unlock, because a job that reruns every morning turns one-off research into a standing intel feed.
  • Asking ChatGPT to draft the agent's job prompt is an easy way past the blank-page problem when setting up a first agent.
  • A good research agent reports outlier videos, packaging patterns, thumbnail lessons and fresh ideas, not just a list of links.
  • Agent jobs are cheap to multiply, so covering 20 topics costs about the same effort as covering five.
  • Big channels win partly on headcount, and agents let a one-person channel borrow a strategist's research hours.
  • Running a one-time test of a new job before leaving it on a schedule catches a bad brief early.
  • A time-box title formula, such as 'give me 20 minutes and I'll teach you X', worked because it lowers the perceived cost of watching.
  • You rent your audience from YouTube, so an email list on your own site is the fallback if the channel ever drops.
Takeaway

Give agents goals and a schedule, not prompts.

WHAT TO LEARN

The shift from chatbot to agent is handing over a goal plus a schedule, so research runs on its own and arrives as a finished report.

  • An agent differs from a chatbot by taking a goal, choosing its own steps with tools, and checking its output in a loop until the task is done.
  • Draft the agent's job prompt in a chat assistant first, then paste it into the agent so the brief is detailed and specific to your niche.
  • Have the agent confirm its own brief, then run a one-time test before trusting a recurring schedule with it.
  • A useful daily research report covers outlier videos, repeating title formulas, thumbnail lessons and a handful of next video ideas.
  • Narrow, separate jobs such as niche watch, adjacent niche watch and news watch give cleaner reports than one catch-all agent.
  • Own an email list and a website outside YouTube, since platform changes or a hack can cut off access to your whole audience.

metaphor
So something pretty big just happened in the world of AI, and I think it's going to completely change how people grow on YouTube forever. Now, we've quietly entered into a brand new era of artificial intelligence, and thanks to things called AI agents, one person can now accomplish things that previously would have required an entirely specialist team to do them.
And the reason this is such a big deal is because it's going to completely level the playing field between small YouTubers and the biggest channels on the platform. Now, if you've watched any of my videos before, you'll know that I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of AI, especially when it comes to generating video content, but...
Even I can't ignore the opportunity here. Like this could genuinely become one of the biggest advantages available to smaller creators over the next few years. And most people simply don't even realize it's here yet.
So in this video, I'm going to explain what AI agents actually are, why they're such a big opportunity for YouTubers, and then I'll show you how you can start using them to grow your own channel. Let's get into it. So what exactly are AI agents and how are they different to something like ChatGBT or Claude?
Well, look, the easiest way to understand it is that the traditional AI chatbots like ChatGBT, for example, give you answers after you type in a prompt. Like you give it the prompt and then it gives you an answer in return. And that's generally like where the interaction ends.
Whereas AI agents, on the other hand, work totally differently because they actually do the work for you without you needing to give them a prompt. Because instead of giving the AI agent individual instructions, you actually give it an overall goal.
And then it figures out the steps it needs to take to achieve that goal on its own. And the reason it can do this is because AI agents combine three important things. Firstly, they have a brain, which is usually like a large language model, like the one powering ChatGPT.
And this allows them to make decisions and plan their next steps. And secondly, they have access to tools, which means they can take action whether that's searching the internet, analyzing data, accessing your calendar or interacting with other software.
And third, they operate in a continuous loop meaning they can take an action, they can check the result of their own action and then work out what needs doing next and keep going until they've actually completed the overall task which is pretty mental. So for example, instead of like just asking ChatGPT to give you 10 YouTube video ideas, you could give an AI agent the goal of researching your niche.
analyzing your competitors, identifying trending topics, and then putting together 10 YouTube video ideas based on what's performing well and based on all of the data it's pulled from those tasks. And then depending on how well it's been set up, it could even repeat that process every Monday morning automatically without you actually having to ask to do it.
And that's not even scratching the surface. So now in the rest of this video, I'll show you exactly how to set up your own AI agent. and then i'll discuss what opportunities this opens up for every youtuber big or small Okay, so we are now in my Hostinger kind of main dashboard area.
So when you signed up for an account and you've got into Hostinger, this is kind of what you'll be met with every single time you log in. Now, of course, we want this here, the Agent Plus. So if I click into my Agent Plus, you'll see I've got a load of history down here.
And I've currently got five jobs running. So I have five different agents running jobs every single day, gathering information for me to help me grow my YouTube channel and to help me... to give me information and trends and spot news and all that kind of stuff.
So it's really interesting. So I've got adjacent niche watch, I've got my niche watch, I've got news on X and trending opinions watch, I've got daily titles and thumbnails intelligence, and I've got daily news and trending watch. So if we go into these, let's say adjacent niche watch, and basically the instructions here are all of the instructions I've given to this agent that it needs to concentrate on and run every single day.
So as you can see here, it's really detailed and I'll show you how to do this in a minute. So I'm basically telling this agent to get me as much detail as possible about successful videos in adjacent niches to mine that I could then look at and potentially use for either inspiration or topic ideas, that kind of stuff. So if we scroll down.
you'll see runs here so we've got two runs yesterday and then this morning today so if we click into them this this is like the prompt it goes through every time you know how to fill this in this is just automatic and then it's going to give you the results of that every single time it runs automatically. So today's top opportunity, the strongest verified discovery is YouTube creators made on YouTube 2026 creator roundup.
So it's given me a potential topic it thinks would be good for my niche. So discovery number one made on YouTube 2026 creator roundup, niche creator business slash AI slash YouTube strategy. And it's going to break down why it works like the central topic, the curiosity, the format, title strength, and it's going to tell me how I I'd adapt it to my actual niche.
So I could adapt that idea that it's just given me all this information for, and I could tie it to something like YouTube just changed these five things, created these notes, which is actually a really good title. But as you can see, it's given me loads of stuff that I can then concentrate on that I haven't had to get myself.
This is done automatically that I can then take with me. But if we go back. you'll see it ran twice.
So that was the first one. And then the second one, it ran again automatically. So you get the idea.
I basically got these five agents running. always, automatically, every single day for me, gathering as much intel as possible that I can then use in my own YouTube growth journey. So how do you set one up?
Well, if you follow the link in the description, you will be brought to this screen here. So as you'll see, it's hosting a create your website in minutes, and this is a website plus hosting an AI agent. I'll touch on the website stuff in a bit, but all you've got to do is click get the bundle, and then you'll be brought down to this thing here.
So you can either pay $5 .99 a month, or you can... pay $6 .99 or $8 .99 a month. It's completely up to you.
You can either do one, three or 12 months bundles. Now I obviously do the 12 months bundle because I just like having everything running for a year. But if you just wanted to try it out, just click on the one month bundle.
Then if you don't like it, just cancel afterwards. Click on continue. So here you can either add the unlimited plan if you want to.
As long as we've got the agent plus plan, you can do one month, three months or 12 months. Now if you do do 12 months, you actually do get a discount using my code. So you just click down the create.
and you'll get a big discount on this plan. So once you're happy with that, just click continue, fill in the details. And then once you've joined Hostinger and you've signed up, you'll be brought to this home screen here.
This is kind of like your dashboard. Now, when it comes to actually setting up an AI agent, it can be daunting to some of you. I do admit when I first did it, it was quite daunting to me.
So your best bet here. is actually just to use ChatGBT to help you. ChatGBT knows exactly what's going on and it will give you the best prompts and all that kind of stuff.
So what you've got to do is type in something like, I'm in the finance niche, obviously put in whatever niche you're in. I want to create a job for my hosting at AI agent that runs every single day at 8 a .m. UK time.
Obviously put wherever you are, if you're Eastern, if you're wherever you're from. I want the agent to be an expert in scanning my niche and adjacent niches to find outlier videos, successful titles, and find out what's working with thumbnails and overall packaging. I want the agent to help me grow my channel and find brand new ideas on a daily basis.
If I now click on continue, ChatGPT is now going to help me develop the prompt that we're then going to go into hosting and add in here. So here you've got jobs, you've got chats. With the chat section...
you've got this is literally just an area where you can chat to the hosting agent like you do with actually using chat dbt realistically you could do all this in hosting but i just prefer to kind of separate the two have all my kind of stuff in chat dbt and then use a prompt from chat dbt over in the hosting ai agent so what your agent will do is find outlier videos track successful topics and trends reverse engineer packaging generate original video opportunities and learn from previous reports That sounds good.
So what you've got to do now is just copy and paste this prompt that ChatGPT has given us into Hostinger. Let's literally just copy that, go to Hostinger, click on jobs, click plus, and then paste that in there. And then I always go run this job every day at 8 a .m.
UK time and then click send. So now it's kind of going through this. prompt that ChatGPT gave us and it started to understand it and it's like validating the brief for us.
So now it's developed its own brief for this job that's going to be scheduled. So instructions number one, number two, number three, number four, number five, six, seven. All of this information kind of pertains to what we just copied in there from ChatGPT.
If you want to pause the video and read it feel free to but I'm not going to because there's so much there and it'll bore you. But once you're happy with this because this is the prompt of the job, once you've read through that and you're happy, Click confirm.
It's then going to save that job. And once it's saved, we can then go in and run it just to make sure we're happy with it. And then we can just leave it to automatically run itself.
You don't even have to open your laptop. You can shut your laptop, put your feet up, and it's going to run every single day if you wanted to. If you wanted it to run five times a day, you can do.
If you wanted it to run like once a week, you can do. It's completely up to you. As soon as you've scheduled in that job.
That's it, it's done. So once you've confirmed it and it's like scheduled the job, you'll then get this message. The daily finance YouTube intelligence job is scheduled to run daily at 8 a .m.
UK time. A one -time test run will report now and send you the results. You can then click confirm to do a one -time test run now just to make sure it actually works and gives you the results you want.
Okay, so that job has now complete. If we click into it. This is a report we get.
So, Finance YouTube Intelligence, October 24th, 2026. Five top outlier videos it's found for us. So, give us 20 minutes, we'll teach you five AI side hustles for 2026.
Higgs Field AI and Eman Gadzi, apparently, posted five days ago and got 261 ,000 views. So, obviously, quite a cool video, blah, blah, blah. Then we've got...
winning packaging patterns. So time, box, transformation, formula, give me a certain amount of time, I'll show you the specific outcome, why it works, lowest perceived time cost, makes a promise concrete. Then we've got thumbnail lessons.
So use one dominant visual attention, like a falling chart, house, cash, AI, emerging opportunities. And then it's going to give us five next video ideas based on the information it's just given us. So yeah, this is going to run every single day and it's going to gather all of the information from the five niche and adjacent niches and pick together the kind of like trending stuff and then put it in a report for you.
You can set up as many of these jobs as you want. like these AI agents, you're not limited to like five or six, you can set up like 20, covering 20 different topics if you wanted to. It is that exciting.
So like I said, I've got five, but like in a month's time, I'm probably gonna have 10. And it's basically just turned me a team from one person into like six people doing six different jobs. It's that interesting.
So look, that is basically the tool and how you set up. But why is this such a big opportunity for small channels? Well, look, there's a few reasons.
Firstly, AI agents are literally leveling the playing field between small and big YouTubers. Just think about it. Like the bigger channels all have entire teams behind them.
They have strategists, they've got video editors, they've got thumbnail designers and assistants, like all helping them with every single video they post. Whereas the smaller creators simply don't have that. Like most of you guys are working in...
entirely by yourselves, juggling everything. But now these AI agents can perform many of those jobs for you for a fraction of the cost. So for the first time ever, even a one person channel can now have access to the kind of team that was previously only actually achievable for the biggest channels that were earning loads of money.
And then secondly, look, AI agents will save you hours and hours of work every single week. So if you're balancing YouTube with full -time work or even full -time studies... This is a game changer because the agents will help massively with things like researching video ideas, analyzing competitors, tracking trends, and even like reviewing your analytics if you want them to.
And because they work automatically through day and night, all of these tasks will be completed before you even wake up in the morning. And also, look, you could start making much smarter decisions about your content as well. Because like imagine having an AI agent constantly researching your niche and spotting the next big...
video opportunities that your competitors either A, have missed or B, just haven't seen yet. So instead of just guessing what you need to upload next, you're actually making decisions backed by actual data and you're finding these ideas before your competitors even stand a chance.
So yeah, this all means that you basically no longer need a massive team or a huge budget to operate like the biggest YouTubers have done. Because creating your own AI agent will give any size creator a genuine opportunity to compete with the bigger channels that have far more resources than you do. Anyway, as your channel starts to grow and you begin to take YouTube more seriously, this is probably the time to start thinking about your online presence outside of just YouTube.
Because the truth is, no matter how big or small your channel is, you don't actually own your own audience. YouTube does. So if anything ever changes, like if there was a really big algorithm update, or if your channel gets hacked, or if your views just suddenly drop, then you basically risk losing everything.
And you've probably have absolutely no way of being able to access any of your subscribers. But that's where building your own website can be a real benefit here. And hosting as new AI website builder makes it ridiculously easy to create your own website and actually start building a real brand outside of YouTube, even if you have like zero technical skills.
Now their AI builder can create a fully customizable and professional website for you in literally under a minute. You could build your own website to collect emails from your viewers or showcase your content or even like sell digital products or courses or even just create a work with me page for brand deals so companies can reach out to you and your channel and request to do collaborations with you.
And they have a drag and drop editor as part of the AI website builder which allows you to fully customize every single thing on your site. Honestly having your own website gives you total control over your audience and your content something that YouTube will never give you.
Now as I said I have my own website for my online courses, I collect people's emails and I give my audience free downloads so I know that if anything ever happens to my channel at least I have that to fall back on. So maybe consider that as well when you look into creating your own AI agent. So if you do want to set up your own AI agent and your own website click on the www.
