Big Idea

The argument in one line.

Healing fails not because the protocols are wrong but because the environment that caused the problem has not changed and the nervous system driving the body is still locked in survival mode.

Who This Is For

Read if. Skip if.

READ IF YOU ARE…
  • You have been through mold exposure or toxic overload and want a real patient-perspective protocol list, not a clinician overview.
  • You are a woman in perimenopause or menopause dealing with symptoms conventional medicine keeps attributing to hormones alone.
  • You have been a caretaker for a chronically ill family member and are now watching your own health decline.
  • You want to understand what EWG certification actually costs a brand to achieve.
  • You follow functional medicine and want firsthand accounts of EBU, BEG spray, plasma exchange, and peptide rotation from someone living it.
SKIP IF…
  • You want peer-reviewed evidence. This is anecdote-driven patient-to-patient sharing.
  • You prefer mainstream medicine content over integrative approaches.
  • You want a structured single-thesis interview. This ranges freely across topics.
TL;DR

The full version, fast.

Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg mold poisoning came back after re-exposure via a washing machine drum, resetting three months of intensive detox. She lays out every current tool: EBU blood irradiation that cleared year-long leg cramps in three sessions, BEG nasal spray, Biocidin, and an upcoming five-session plasma exchange with published bloodwork. The deeper argument she and Maria Menounos build is that environment and nervous system come first. You cannot heal in the environment that got you sick, and health anxiety itself is nervous system dysregulation that blocks recovery.

Atomic Insights

Lines worth screenshotting.

  • A mold infection can return from a single re-exposure even after months of intensive protocol work, and the same strain will spike on retesting within days.
  • EBU therapy cleaned blood through UV irradiation and ozone and eliminated leg cramps that had lasted over a year, in just three sessions.
  • Health anxiety and obsessive lab ordering are themselves nervous system dysregulation that actively slows healing.
  • Potential cancer lesions shrank after 2.5 weeks of sunrise grounding, beach barefoot time, 11-hour nights, and bed by 7:30pm at the equator.
  • Hot flashes disappeared in a single day of barefoot grounding in El Salvador and never returned.
  • FDA cosmetic ingredient regulations are largely unchanged since 1938. No agency checks whether your mascara contains forever chemicals.
  • Mascara is the second biggest offender in makeup for toxic load, and most clean-labeled brands still use hormone-disrupting ingredients because the category has no enforcement.
  • Most cosmetic brands using the word clean would not survive an EWG submission because the process requires third-party testing of every individual ingredient.
  • Peptides are meant to be rotated three weeks on and a month off. People staying on them continuously are misusing them.
  • You cannot produce healing in a body whose nervous system is still running a survival program, regardless of how many supplements are added.
Takeaway

Why your environment is the treatment that actually works.

WHAT TO LEARN

Every protocol in this conversation is secondary to two things: removing yourself from the environment that caused the problem and stabilizing the nervous system that has been in survival mode.

01Intro reel
    02Host framing and Jenny intro
    • Gathering around shared healing experiences normalizes what feels isolating and accelerates recovery through community.
    03Connection and first impressions
    • Coming prepared with a written protocol list before a public health conversation prevents the vague answer that frustrates followers who want to act on what they hear.
04Evan story and the caretaker crash
    • Caretaker crash: bodies hold together through acute crisis, then collapse once the pressure lifts.
    • Asking explicitly for guidance is how Jenny made decisions about her son treatment when every official channel had given up.
    05Guidance and faith
    • Asking explicitly for guidance through prayer or intention is a decision-making strategy both hosts use consistently when facing complex health choices.
06Health anxiety and the nervous system
    • Health anxiety is a nervous system state that elevates cortisol, suppresses immunity, and blocks the conditions required for healing.
07Mold relapse and the full protocol
    • Mold toxicity can relapse from a single re-exposure. Eliminating every source matters more than any supplement stack.
    • EBU, plasma exchange, and BEG spray provide enough specifics to start a conversation with a functional medicine doctor.
    08Peptides, sauna, and Apeel
    • Peptides are meant to be cycled three weeks on and a month off. Staying on them continuously is the most common misuse.
    • Most products labeled clean would fail an EWG submission.
09Environment heals: equator and El Salvador
    • Barefoot grounding, morning sunlight, and extended sleep in a clean environment produced measurable improvements at essentially zero cost.
    • Getting your gut in order before menopause is one of the most time-sensitive health decisions a woman can make.
    10Formless Beauty
    • Mascara is consistently among the highest sources of cosmetic toxin exposure because it is applied near a mucous membrane and has been largely unregulated since 1938.
    11Outro and CTAs
      Glossary

      Terms worth knowing.

      EBU
Extracorporeal blood ultraviolet irradiation and ozonation. Blood is drawn through two IV lines, passed through UV light and ozone, then returned to the body. Used as a detox intervention for toxic overload and autoimmune conditions.
      BEG spray
A compounded prescription nasal spray combining bismuth subgallate, EDTA, and gentamicin, prescribed through functional medicine doctors to address mold colonization in sinus passages.
      Biocidin
A botanical antimicrobial supplement used in functional medicine to reduce bacterial, fungal, and biofilm overgrowth.
      Plasma exchange
A procedure in which blood plasma is extracted and replaced with a clean solution. Used experimentally as a longevity and detox intervention.
      EWG
Environmental Working Group. A nonprofit that rates cosmetic and food ingredients for toxicity. EWG verification requires third-party lab testing and compliance with their restricted ingredient list, significantly stricter than FDA requirements.
      Apeel
A plant-derived wax coating applied to fresh produce to extend shelf life. Approved for use on organic produce in the US. Cannot be washed off because it bonds to the fruit skin.
      Biofilm
A protective matrix that bacteria or fungi build around themselves, making them harder to treat. Mold can form biofilms that persist long after the original exposure source is removed.
      Gut dysbiosis
An imbalance in the gut microbiome where harmful microorganisms outnumber beneficial ones. Associated with systemic inflammation and vulnerability to mold colonization.
      Jack Kruse
A neurosurgeon turned biohacker known for protocols centered on sunlight, circadian rhythm, grounding, and mitochondrial health. Referenced as a research rabbit hole that informed the equator experiment.
      Relax Sauna
A portable infrared sauna in zip-up tent format that Jenny McCarthy uses and recommends for regular sweating-based detox.

00:00Coming up on this episode of Heal Squad. What
00:03makes you scared of slowing down? I'm a very impatient person when it comes to healing. If I don't figure it out now, I'm gonna get a cancer diagnosis.
00:12I'm on this, like, I gotta hurry up. I gotta hurry up. I gotta hurry up.
00:15And I realize that's screwing up my nervous system. But I'm in that impatient mode now because I got more bad news about myself. But you want me to get into it?
00:23Yeah. Okay. Let's go for it.
00:25Finally, when I got into a place where I was like, oh, wait. I can breathe. That's when my health started to go.
00:33They're saying it's not a toxin, but it's an actual wax that covers your fruit, and you can't scrub it off. So how is that organic? A really important why I love her.
00:43If I only to pick one thing to heal in this world, what would it be? It would be And honestly, I think that's the only reason why I'm still alive.
00:51We've been diagnosing each other. Because you know when you get a diagnosis yourself, then you think everybody has that diagnosis. That's why Brie and I, we go together shamma lamma lamma shlamma da dingadong.
01:04Hello. Hello, Heal Squad. So excited about today's episode because it is the first ever Heal Squad episode recorded live in front of an audience, and it's with one of our favorites, Jenny McCarthy.
01:18Friends, Jenny was with us on the beach on Cape Cod in front of 200 plus people at our first ever day of reset, and it was so beautiful having her there. It was really a moment because Jenny, as you may or may not know, has lived this.
01:32She fought to help her son, and she helped heal him.
01:37She is now doing the same thing for herself, and she's done it loudly and publicly and at a real personal cost. She is a Heal Squad woman through and through. And what came of that conversation, I mean, I don't even know where to start.
01:48We talked about her mold poisoning coming back, a UTI scare in her forties, what we got, something about fruit that shocked everyone in the room. Anyway, you're gonna hear it all right now.
01:59Thank you for being with us, and I hope you enjoy the first ever Heal Squad live episode with Jenny McCarthy. The day before this was well, as this was kind of fully forming, Jenny McCarthy said something on my podcast and she said, you can't heal with a wrecked nervous system and that's the hardest part for me.
02:21And I can see it and I can feel it in her because I've been connecting with her more and more.
02:29And what's crazy is she had no idea we were about to ask her to be a part of the day of reset. I was like, you just said the magic words, lady. And so right after that, I was like, if that wasn't a message that she's supposed to be here to share with us, because she's on the journey too, she needs this just as much as all of us do, I didn't know what would be the message.
02:54So we are all so good at doing and fixing and pushing through and figuring it out.
03:03But slowing down and feeling and unraveling, that's the part that we resist.
03:10And so that was my message. I will continue to try to apply.
03:17But with that, I want to bring in our special guest today, Jenny McCarthy. And if you don't know her well, I hope her story here will kind of get you up to speed.
03:36She grew up a Catholic school girl on the South Side Of Chicago. By 25, she was hosting her own show on MTV, and the whole country knew her name.
03:46She was funny. She was raw. She was real, and she kept reinventing herself.
03:51Actress, comedian, but also a mom, a sister, and a wife. Then came a moment that stopped her in her tracks.
03:59Her son, Evan, was diagnosed with autism. And as a single mom, she had two choices, fall apart or fight.
04:07And Jenny fought. She went on Oprah Live because that was the only way her story would make it to air and she told it to the world. I'm here with Jenny McCarthy who's become one of the most vocal advocates for parents of children with autism.
04:21She spent years pouring everything she had into healing her son, and it worked. Evan went from life threatening seizures and no language to a thriving young man in his twenties out in the world going strong.
04:34And somewhere in all of that fighting for her son, she realized she had been ignoring herself. So she dove in getting to the root of it all.
04:43And when she couldn't find beauty products clean enough to match the standards she was holding everything else to, she built them herself. She has lived a very public life. She has taken hits.
04:54And through all of it, she kept doing the work on herself, for herself, for her family, and really for all of us too. Because she knows that when you take care of you, you can show up for everyone else too. We can learn so much from Jenny, from her bravery, from the way she took on a disease she knew nothing about and figured it out.
05:14Not just for one, like I said, but for all. And that is exactly what Heal Squad is about.
05:21Coming together to get better together. That is the woman walking out on this stage today, and I couldn't be more excited for you to hear everything she has learned. Heel squad, please give a warm welcome to my friend, Jenny McCarthy Wauber.
      05:36Hi. Everybody, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg.
      05:42Love it.
05:43I need to say something. First
      05:46of all, it is so
05:48I can't tell you how good it feels to be around like minded souls, isn't it?
05:53Yeah. You guys got together like, oh, everyone can speak the same language. Everyone understands the journey.
05:58Everyone wants to heal. Mhmm. Whether it's yourself, a family member, I'm just that's why Marie and I, we go together like shamalama lama shlama dingadong.
      06:08Seriously, she is you
06:10are one of my soul mates in this lifetime, no doubt. Honestly,
06:14we've been bonding so much since our age. So much. We've been diagnosing each other.
06:19Because you know when you get a diagnosis yourself, then you think everybody has that diagnosis. The best is, like, we're voice texting back and forth. I'm like, sound mold in this thing.
06:30And I'm like, what the heck? We're just we we're getting it from all angles. And then she's going crazy.
06:34And then I and then she goes, oh, Mylanta. I go, did you just say Mylanta because you know I say Mylanta, or is that because you're saying Mylanta?
06:43Jenny McCarthy, you've gone too far. And she goes, no. I say Mylanta.
06:47And I'm like, oh my god. I say crazy things all the time. I don't know where Mylanta came from, but I've been saying it for a long It great.
      06:54Yeah.
06:55Hi. Hi. I have my phone with me.
06:57If you were like, why is she gripping this? Because last time I was on, or the few times I've been on, I always go into comments and answer questions, but I people get so annoyed that I don't give the details of, like, I'll say, I detoxed, and everyone goes, well, what did you do?
      07:12Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
07:13I literally wrote down everything when we get there, and everything I'm on, I wrote it down for everybody. So that way, you can know exactly
07:21I love it. You saw this video. Right?
07:23Yes. Did you like it? I loved it.
07:26I was like, oh my god. Is very sweet. Willow.
      07:29Willow crushed
07:30much. It was very, very sweet. Yeah.
      07:33I think
07:34I you know, it's funny because I have a friend staying with me, and she was like, please thank her because if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have known about vaccinations. I wouldn't have known all these things. And, like, it was really brave of you, and and I I you know, you really know how to take hits, lady.
07:52And and you are brave, and no matter what, you stand up and you do the right thing. And that's not easy in this world, but It is not. I gotta just say that first.
08:02And I know you love our Heal Squad, and I'm just I'm so happy that you have that connection with them. And I'm so happy that you're here, and you took the time out of your insanely busy schedule and gifted us this this this moment today because we have no budget.
08:22You know what? And I know you expensive.
08:26I love I love you. I love what we're talking And I love healing.
08:30So I'm like, I need to be around my people. You know? Yeah.
      08:33People that care.
08:34So thank you. You know, obviously you are another example of someone who poured everything you had into Evan and into your family and you kind of now are like, the wheels are coming off a little.
08:48Yeah. I mean, when Evan was diagnosed with autism, that was back in 2005.
08:56Of course, with a diagnosis like that, your world crashes down. And I remember the doctor telling me there was no hope back then. It was like institution was what they were talking about.
09:07And to give anybody no hope, I think, is a crime against humanity in general. Like, hope, miracles happen.
09:17So Yeah. I called them a few swear names and went home. And then I I literally started, like, trying to find anybody that could show me a path of healing for my son because I was getting gaslit.
09:32I was getting mixed messages. I was it was finding dead ends, and I was like that's when I had my conversation with God.
09:38God is the one to help heal, to guide you to the right people. Count on God.
09:44Yep. So I said to God, please teach me how to heal my boy, and then I'll teach the world how I did it.
09:53And as soon as I put that proclamation out there, things started popping up.
09:59I found an autism organization underground that was like, yo.
10:03We're over here. We do gluten free and no dairy, and it's helping. I mean, this was before Wow.
10:09Anyone even knew how to pronounce the word gluten. I mean, my son's gonna be 24 on Monday. This is how long it's been.
10:16So I was in the beginning phase, and I realized, okay. There is no one I can look at right now. I have to be that person.
10:24And I put like you said, I put everything into it. I mean,
10:28everything. And those years were exhausting, scary.
10:35I got a divorce the same week I got the autism organization. Mean, autism diagnosis same week. So I was like, oh my god.
10:41I'm a single mother having to split half your money. And like, now you know how much autism costs? Healing in general, how much it costs.
10:49So talk about nervous system dysregulation, you know, starting from that point onward.
10:57So I got my son through these seizures that were he died in front of me twice, cardiac arrest style.
11:07We had to put him in phenobarbital comas. It was it was very trying on my system all these years. And finally, when I got him to a place where I was like, oh, wait.
      11:17I can I can breathe? I don't think he's gonna die tomorrow. I think I can breathe.
11:25That's when my health started to go. Isn't that interesting? It's kinda like, you can rev rev rev rev rev.
11:33You're like, oh, I'm not getting sick, but as soon as you go on vacation and rest, you get sick. So my body hung in there for as long as it could to help heal my boy. And now I have to put all that attention on me because
11:47shit started to hit the fan. I
      11:50mean, So in a big
11:52I don't know where you want me to dive into that It's interesting because I took my mom to this facility in Mexico and when she had cancer and the woman who started it started it because she got cancer taking care of her mom with cancer.
12:07Wow. And so her whole clinic is about taking care of the caretaker and the patient because they need it just as much. That's exactly right.
12:16And so you needed love just as much as he did. Yeah.
12:20And you're out there hustling to be able to survive and bills.
12:25Pay the bills and take care of him. And so, of course it's going to take its toll. And then you're also getting attacked in the public Correct.
      12:32Which is not easy.
12:34No. It wasn't easy. But, you know, again, I'm gonna rely on God.
12:37I had I literally felt the armor of God on me because no one could stand I mean, I had mobs.
12:45I had big pharma against me. I had television against me, big media. You I had lost jobs because of it, and I'm a single mother trying to pay for healing and autism.
12:56So it was a very difficult time, but I got up every day because of the armor of God.
13:02I'm just like, I am doing I knew when my son was diagnosed with autism that I didn't become famous for any other reason than to have a platform to do what I'm doing.
13:13I have no doubt in my mind. Yeah. Same.
13:16Because to tell you the truth, I'm really not talented in any other department.
      13:21Wait. You're not what? Talented.
13:24Oh my god. Stop it. Jenny McCarthy.
13:26I can't dance. I can barely act. You know what I mean?
13:29So I'm like, I know that God put me on. Now,
13:34here it comes with my turn.
13:36So But the thing is, I love where you say that you you ask God, and we were talking about this today. It's like, ask God or, you know, I wanna be respectful if that's not what you believe in. Like, ask the higher power or whatever it is, the universe, you know, what do I need to see?
13:51What do I need to know? And I would do that with my mom too because I threw everything into my mom. And I was like, I would say, God, show me what I need to do.
13:58I'm scared. I don't know what to do next. The tumor's back.
14:01And then the next day, and this is what I I say, like, the message has come. I was on my computer, and all of a sudden, the side effects of chemo popped up on the screen because I was doing research.
14:12I'm like I was about to close it because I'm like, I know the side effects of chemo, vomit, nausea, and something made me read them.
14:20And I read it, and I go, wait a second. The side effects of chemo exactly mirror the symptoms of tumor regrowth.
14:32So how do we know what's what? And I was like, okay.
14:38What if I go and detox her off the chemo? What if it's not the regrowth of tumor? What if that's inflammation?
14:46What what and so I took her to Mexico. Game changer. And that's what it was.
14:52They called it pseudo progression. But that would always happen. Like, I'd have a guest on my show, and then I'd meet them backstage, and they were like, hey, you know, you know, I'm going through this journey, whatever.
15:03And then I would get a little nugget, and I would hear, you gotta do that with your mom. You gotta do that. You gotta do that.
15:08Like, you just get guidance. Everywhere. Yes.
15:10So you just have to keep asking because they want to tell you. They do. And like you said, the creator, anyone higher above, your grandma, your mother, who you know, they're connected.
15:20So ask for those messages you will receive. So Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg,
15:26nervous system nervous system overload. You don't slow down and we're gonna get into a lot of the things you're doing and why you're not slowing down, and you have another mission and another purpose.
15:39What makes you scared of slowing down?
15:43Well, I'll think about that. What makes me scared about slowing down?
15:51There's a few things. I feel like I'm a very impatient person when it comes to healing.
15:59If I don't figure it out now, I'm gonna get a cancer diagnosis.
16:03Okay. I have this looming sea con I mean, I literally if you look at my feed, it looks like I'm suffering from every type of cancer. Literally.
16:13Like, that's I'm like, I'm all about the prevention because I've got so many other things wrong with me that I know if I don't do that, I'm going to wind up getting it. So I feel like I'm on this, I got to hurry up.
16:23I got to hurry up. I got to hurry up. And I realize that's screwing up my nervous system.
16:27No. Because we're having I coined health anxiety. It is.
16:30It's We have health anxiety sometimes. Absolute health anxiety. I'm also a labaholic.
16:36I go and get labs constantly. Constantly.
16:40More labs. More labs. The doctor's like, we just did them.
16:43I'm like, I know. But things are to change. Like, in a week?
      16:46Yeah. Yeah.
16:48you know Yeah. We gotta chill out. I think it's I think it's my impatience to heal.
16:54Like, I do enjoy teaching other people how I did it, and I know this is gonna be part of that plan of like, it doesn't happen overnight. Mhmm. It took look how long it took my son.
17:05I had to keep reminding myself.
17:06It took him a long time. And we have to surrender. Sometimes we gotta just surrender it to him.
      17:13Mhmm. I know. Yeah.
17:15I know. And I'm in that impatient mode now because I got
17:19more bad news about myself. Okay. Well, it's not that terrible, terrible, terrible.
17:25But you want me to get into it? Yeah. Okay.
17:28Let's go for it. So I last time I was here, last time I saw Maria show, I I told her that I was going through all of these insane last year was nuts.
17:38I had nine surgeries. My teeth were falling out. My I had these eye growths growing on my eyes.
17:44I had surgery every month. I was having severe leg cramping, these infections that wouldn't go away.
17:50And I'm like my functional medicine doctor's like, you're the healthiest, best student I've ever had. I have no idea what's going on.
17:58I need to really test you. She called me because she tested me for everything. She said, I found it.
18:03You have mold. And I was like, there's no mold around me.
18:07How could that possibly be? She's like, you're misunderstanding mold. Mold can come some from something ten years ago.
18:14You don't smell it. It goes under the nose and the biofilms. It colonizes.
18:20It creates families, has babies. Then it's systemic. It goes into your gut.
18:24Screws up your gut because dysbiosis. So all of these things was happening. So when we did the test, I could see them all.
18:31I was like, oh, my god. And I was having these severe leg cramping, and I talked about it on your show.
18:36You guys, the leg cramping was so bad, it felt like I had my legs inside of a wood chipper at night. Donnie was like, it felt so bad because I'd be crying in the bathroom. This was going on for a year.
18:48And so I did Cramp juice. The Amish cramp juice works. Which one?
18:53Which one was that? It's called Old Amish cramp juice. You buy it on Amazon.
18:57It's like an apple cider vinegar thing. My dad still gets them,
19:02and it's the only thing that works. Wow, really? Yeah.
19:04Well, so I did started my mold cleanse, which I'll get into everything. I wrote everything in detail. But EBU was the first thing I started.
19:13And do you guys know what EBU is? Okay. EBU is you basically sit there with two IVs out of out of each arm.
19:21The blood leaves. It goes into a machine. It looks like a kidney dialysis machine.
19:26And it cleans the blood, so it separates it into this foamy inflammation. Some people see parasites in there. And then the rest of the blood goes through ozone.
19:35So it cleans the blood, and then it goes back in your body. Now I'm I'm always sus of everything. So I didn't do it for a while until I got mold poisoning.
19:47So I was like, you know what? I'm just gonna try it, and I'll be the guinea pig, and I'll let people know if it works. Literally, after three sessions, my leg cramps were gone after a year.
19:57So I was like, okay. This is starting to work. Then I did all the other stuff for detox.
20:05By the way, that EBU is great for anyone with a toxic overload. If you do have autoimmune autoimmune anything, you know we're already inflamed.
20:13I feel like this is a good tool. It's expensive. It sucks that everything is so freaking expensive.
20:19I know. But I'm gonna mention them anyway even though sometimes I get hate for mentioning them, but I have to mention them. Um, also, you guys, if you are suffering with mold, I'll make this part brief because I know everyone's not suffering from mold, but someday it's gonna be insane.
20:35I promise you. Like, we're getting sicker and sicker for some reason and not being able to handle mold. So I also did something called BEG spray.
20:44This is a compounded spray that you have to go through a functional medicine doctor. It's a particular antibiotic that kills your particular mold that basically is not antibiotic resistant.
20:58I had seven antibiotics I'm resistant to
21:02over the course of mold. That's what mold did to me. Did you do a lot of antibiotics when you were in yeah.
21:07Because, like, at least for, like, us in the industry, it was always like, I need a Z Pak. I gotta get back to work. Oh, yeah.
21:12And you guys probably did that stuff too in your jobs too. But Well, I in my forties, I literally had a UTI every month. Poor Donnie.
      21:19And I lived
21:22I lived on antibiotics literally from my forties, so my gut was I was entering menopause with a very vulnerable gut, gut dysbiosis. So you name it.
21:32That's why I'm like, anyone entering menopause, you better get your body fixed before menopause, any youngsters, because it gets
21:39real difficult after. A hot tip because I think I'm Go ahead. Almost, like, officially gonna by October, I'll be officially there, gone, because I haven't had a period, I think, since October.
21:49Oh, yeah. But I was having severe hot flashes.
21:53Oh, yeah. Like jump out the building, hot flashes, soaking wet twenty four seven.
22:00I was going to church, and I'm like, I'm in freaking tank tops in December. I'm dying. I don't I can't wear any my sweaters.
22:07Almost threw them all out. I'm like, what am I what's the point? I went to El Salvador.
22:13One day, they disappeared and they have not come back. That grounding that's why I'm gonna take you.
22:19That grounding and that that field is so healing and so powerful.
22:26They left and they never came back. And I was like, okay. Maybe it's just me.
22:29So then this last trip I was there, this is actually so cool because we've been able to, like, throw a lot of tips out there all at once. It's great. Yeah.
22:35So foot reflexologist I met and was working with, she was super incredible. She told me the same thing happened to her. One day, gone.
22:45We're it's our environments that are really killing us. 100%. It's the electromagnetic field.
22:49It's just all the EMF. It's so bad, and we don't realize it. Don't get in those Waymo things.
22:56They look fun and cool. Do not get in those. Right.
22:58Those microwaves? Yeah. Mean, I am still driving the Tesla because it drives me, and I realize that I have to take some good with the bad.
23:06I have the one that's the least. But, you know, it's like you have the electric toothbrush.
23:10Those are so horrible for you too. Although I found a red light one. I'm gonna test it and see.
      23:15I did it. Didn't work. It's Alright.
23:18Well alright. But my point is is, like, my gums were receding.
23:22The dentist gave me this years ago. They came back to life, so I'm like, okay. There's certain things
23:27that I'm just gonna have to do, and it's fine. And you you become super paranoid. I've turned into that paranoid person of, like, you walk in my house, I'm like, take off your shoes.
23:36You can't walk in my house with perfume or cologne. You just cannot. I literally make people leave immediately.
23:43You need Henry coat? Because I'm so chemically sensitive.
23:45Will you tell everybody about appeal? Appeal is this coat
23:49that they that they put over fruit and vegetables. It keeps them shiny, and they last longer. And they say that they they're considering it fine because it's not they're saying it's not a toxin, but it's an actual wax that covers your fruit, and you can't scrub it off.
24:05So how is that organic? But that's crazy. It's crazy.
24:09Alright. Because it might get boring. I'm gonna still name these things.
      24:13Biocidin.
24:14These are from immobile people. Wait. You know that's my favorite thing in the world.
24:17Did we talk about this? No. So my baby was sick.
24:20She so the other day, she Athena came down with a cold, we had a seven day old living in the house. I'm like, oh, no. This is not good timing.
24:29And Kevin takes her. I go put her in the steam shower. I hear him talk about all the mucus coming out.
24:34She comes out, all this green stuff's coming out. I'm like, oh, nuts. I run into my friend's room.
24:39I go, listen. Athena's sick. We need a plan.
24:42We gotta keep her away from your toddler. We gotta keep her away from the baby. How are gonna do this?
24:46Of course, the first thing I do is I get her medicines. I do the transcriptions, not the methyl blue, the green.
24:53I always do a little bit of that. I just did three squirts of the biocidin. I did a little mommy's bliss.
24:59We saw we steamed her. I red lighted, and then I trampolined. That was a new thing I've been adding, I've realized it's really helpful to move all this shit out of her lymphatic.
25:08Less than two days, this child was completely healed. Biocidin is amazing.
25:12If you don't have it Get it. Actually, some of you might get some, but biocidin is magic.
25:21Extracts, like olive leaf extract. All natural, beautiful stuff. Everyone should just hack.
25:26Yeah. Are we doing a commercial for them soon? I know.
25:29We seriously should. Someone was asking me in the comments too about my probiotics.
25:35I do like research elements is the name of the company. I'm doing some detox with some metals, very light tonic stuff with cellular solutions. Don't worry.
25:45I'm not making any money from this. I'm just giving what I'm doing because people wanna know. You guys, I can't express it.
25:52So you tell me what is the one thing that I if I only get to pick one thing to heal in this world, what would it be? It would be to sweat.
26:00It would be infrared sauna. It has so many benefits to it. And honestly, I think that's the only reason why I'm still alive because my body has been so toxic.
26:09I've been doing it for twenty five years. I've tried all the saunas. And the thing that sucks about it is is that they're so freaking expensive.
26:16We have one brand. You wanna use it later? New sauna.
26:19No. Because I travel with one. Oh, do you?
26:21I travel with one. The company I'm gonna plug right now is called Relax Sauna. You can get into a sauna.
26:27It's a zip up one that you sit in like this. But doesn't the plastic like melt into you or whatever? I it doesn't What is the fabric made of inside?
26:34You'll have to look it up, but I don't even care. I don't care because the the amount of sweat so I just wrap myself in a very clean towel, and I sweat my balls off. Yeah.
26:44If you have a 100% cotton towel down so that you're sweating into that and not penetrating Correct. Your body doesn't touch the sides.
26:51Yeah. Okay. That's You sit in a chair, your body doesn't touch the sides.
26:54I wrap myself in a towel and I'm soaked And it's called relax. And I asked the company, I said, I'm going to a podcast.
27:00Can you give a discount? And they're like, we'll take off a $100. So but you can get into one for, like, 1,700 or 2,000.
27:08The black one is a mega sweater. Just put Jenny McCarthy in the in the code, and they know to give you a $100 off. But I put my son in this because he doesn't like he wants to be on his phone.
27:20And this, you can pull your hands out, and he can sit on his phone. So now Evan goes, I finally got a minute to go in three days a week. I'm like, it's the only thing that's gonna keep us alive in this toxic world.
27:29Yay. But I love that sauna.
27:33So it's the relaxed saunas if you wanna They all think you're nuts in your house. Right? Crazy.
      27:38Yeah. Yeah. Me too.
27:39My son is no. He's I I brainwashed him so well now. I
      27:44hello. Athena's turning three.
27:46I eat healthy. I don't eat sugar. I I we were in line at this, like, little cafe.
27:52I looked at these chocolate chip cookies that I wanted to make out with. They have, like, the sea salt on them, and I can't have them either. And I'm like, uh.
28:00And she points and she goes, mommy, I don't want those cookies. They're trash.
28:08They have sugar. And people and I look back and I go, I did not teach her that. I said no sugar, but I didn't say they're trash.
28:15Those are beautiful cookies. Wait till all the birthday parties she goes to. She goes she doesn't want it.
28:19It's unbelievable for right now, but then if we caught her on video and she's like, I wanna eat sugar and I don't wanna eat healthy and Willow's in the house just filming her and I go, oh, no. But, yeah.
28:32He's so he's in the sauna. But I will add to that if I was gonna say one thing aside from your faith, because I think that your faith is, like, the most important Yep.
      28:41Thing is the sun.
28:45Just does make you happy. You can feel the difference between a rainy, sad, gloomy day and a sunny day. It's just it's the proof is just in that.
28:54But you're right. I Evan has never worn sunscreen, my son.
28:58The It's beginning of summer, I'll put him outside for fifteen minutes, bring him back inside, warm him up that way. Yeah. And no sunglasses.
29:04Athena too. Yeah. But you you have a longer example to share, and that's what I look to when I made decisions for Athena is I look to friends who had 20 year olds and I'm like, okay.
29:14I'm not gonna be as afraid because they do. They scare you into making the choices they want you to make, not what you feel.
29:23Like, I always say, like, if you feel like giving them something, give it to them because you if you really feel it, but if it's coming from fear, then we need to examine it. Go the way you feel is best,
29:33not just because you're afraid. That's right. And then you Yeah.
29:35Try it And you're like, okay. Yeah. It it resonates as That's one thing that really helps me.
29:41I'm very in tune with that. Like Mhmm. This resonates as truth, this healing.
29:45So okay. So what was your big news? Your bad news?
29:48Oh, the bad news. Yeah. So And she's like, oh my god.
29:52The bad news. Here we go. Last time I was here, I was feeling so much better from my mold detox and telling you, like, my leg cramps are going away, la la la la.
30:02So in California, the house that I'm staying in, I walked into the laundry room and I went and I smelled mold.
30:11I smelled and when you come from a chemical sensitive body, you become like a drug sniffing dog. Kevin Kevin's the mold house. Yeah.
30:19I'm like literally like, hi, Kevin. I'm literally like, I can smell it. Like, you couldn't believe it.
30:24So I asked my family members, like, we don't smell it. So I'm like, ugh. So I made the dumb mistake of sticking my head in the washing machine and pulling back the black I mean, the rubber thing filled.
30:35Oh, I'm so glad you said that. Filled.
30:38So I said, great. I've just been hit. This sucks.
30:42But my husband's like, calm down. You weren't you weren't there for that long. I'm like, but I'm already immune compromised because my gut dysbiosis isn't healed yet.
30:50Your immune system is here. So I'm like, Okay, whatever, whatever, That's A week later, leg cramps.
30:58I was like, no, Donnie, I've got leg cramps again.
31:03And so I called my doctor, and she said, all alright. Let's do a retest.
31:08And all my other moats went away except for the one that lives it's the same one that lives in the washing machine. Skyrocketed. Skyrocketed.
31:18So I was like, after all this work because the the I'm literally putting in ten hours a day, twelve hours a day Wow. Of supplements, the next thing, and the more supplements, next things, and then the detect the the the the the it's a twelve hour a day system for the past three months, and now I'm back up doing it again.
31:36So I'm like, you gotta be kidding me. Wow. So the next thing I'm about to venture in on is the plasma exchange.
31:45Are you guys familiar with plasma exchange? And are you scared for me or no? No,
31:50I'm not. If you said peptides, I'd be horrified. Terrified of peptides.
31:54You do? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm terrified.
31:57But it's just my instinct for me. I'm just like, it scares me. You know what?
32:01I started the peptides, and I gotta tell you, I feel so much better on them. I feel night and day difference on them.
32:10That's why was like, I'll be the guinea pig for people, and that's really how I look at it sometimes. I'm like, if they work, I'll let people go. But I heard that
32:17I heard that that is definitely something that happens. It's like, oh my god, I love chocolate cake. Like, of course, it's gonna be amazing, but it's gonna do some bad stuff, and that's the part that worries me.
      32:27But you can't
32:28you can't stay on them. People stay on them too long. These are meant to be rotated.
32:33So three weeks on, maybe a month off. Okay. And then if you don't need it anymore, you don't need it anymore.
32:37Some people just need to get by. For me, I need an immune system help. I need mitochondrial help.
32:43Like all these little things, noticed a huge But the plasma exchange, you guys, I'm about to start this journey and I'm gonna be a guinea pig, okay? And you'll come back to tell us.
32:54Yeah, so MD lifespan is what I think is the name that I'm doing it with. And it's five sessions, and it's intense.
33:01So, basically, what they do is, again, I'm hooked up to two IVs. They pull out my blood, and out of there, they pull the plasma out of my blood, and it fills up into this big yellow thick bag.
33:13And inside that plasma is parabens, phthalates, microplastic, toxins, like, for my whole lifetime, all in this bag.
33:23And then they supplement it in my body with a with a special solution. Don't ask me the name. And what that does is by taking your notes?
33:31I'm kidding. I did put a magazine on. I did put I put special solution on there.
33:38Special solution. And what that does is it allow what happens when your body's not inflamed?
33:44When your body's not fighting off all these toxins, it can heal because your body's meant to It it wants to heal.
33:50It needs the right environment. It needs the right environment. So I feel very hopeful from the people that I've talked to that have gone through it.
33:58And I start my cognitive tests. They have to make you do cognitive tests before, all these steps.
34:04So if it works, I will let you go. And not only that, I'm not just gonna go, yo, it worked. I'm gonna show you all of my blood work because they make you test in between each one of these things, and you're gonna see if my toxin levels are dropping and dropping and dropping.
34:18I will disclose all of it because I don't want you to Yeah. You know, waste your money if it's not gonna work.
34:24So I know. That's the thing is like when
34:27I did the whole Dominican Republic experiment at the Equator, I remember Athena was six months old. They had told me so when they found the pancreas tumor finally, they were like, well you have a lesion on your lung and your liver.
34:41And I was like, I can't even get to that shit. Just get this thing out. I got a baby coming.
34:44So we got the pancreas thing done and then at some point I went back and we did a scan on the liver and they're like, Oh, well now there's a lot of lesions on there and so we should biopsy this because they were afraid it was cancer. Because the NET tumor, it's a neuroendocrine tumor, likes to go to the lung and the liver.
35:04And I was like, well, are the odds that I've got them in both places? But I didn't feel like that was true.
35:11And so I said to the doctor, I'm like, you know what? I don't think this is what's happening. If I am listening to my internal guidance, I don't think that this is what this is.
35:19I'm gonna try something. So I went to the Equator, and some of you may know this story, so forgive me, but I wanna share it so you guys know.
35:27But I went to the Equator, and I created a little protocol based on everything I had been learning about the sun and grounding and all of that. And I was giving myself the time because I was like, wait.
35:38I have the resources to do this. Who can take two and a half weeks off their work schedule and take off that time money wise and be able to get to a place.
35:48Like, I had a place to stay for free at a friend's. Like, I'll be the guinea pig for this experiment and see what happens because I keep hearing, like, you can't heal in the environment that got you sick. I keep hearing about sunlight and grounding and all of this stuff, so let me go try it.
36:04And I know I have a six month old, but I know she's got Papu and daddy and everybody at home and she's gonna be fine and it's gonna be brutal for me. She's not gonna know the difference and ultimately, I have to make the choice, oxygen mask first, to do what's gonna be helpful and healing for me so that I live for her.
36:25Because what good am I, like I said before, if I'm six feet under because I try to be the perfect mom and didn't make the right choices. Not that my mom made the wrong choice. You know what I'm saying?
36:34And so I went and exactly what I did, very simple.
36:39I woke up at sunrise. I walked my tushy outside. I grounded hands and feet into the earth.
36:47I did my little like yoga fascia flow movements. I ate my breakfast. I went inside.
36:55I meditated. I went I played pickleball and I did like a lot of sweating. I'm just trying to remember the whole thing.
37:02I went to the beach. I grounded at the water's edge. I ate lunch.
37:07I did a lot of research in Doctor. Jack Kruse rabbit holes. And then I would go back to the room.
37:15I'd change my stuff. I'd go to sunset. I'd eat dinner first, then I'd go to sunset, and then I'd be back in bed by, like, 07:30.
37:25And I was out, and I'd get, like, eleven hours of sleep. I did that for two and a half weeks. I went home, and I got my scans.
37:32And they were like, well, the lesions, all of them except for one shrunk, and so this must not be cancer.
37:42And I was like, wait, they shrunk? Like, two and a half weeks? Wow.
37:47Like, that's crazy that that could happen so fast.
37:52And so I I share that because it is your environment and sometimes you need to get out of it.
37:59Also testament to you, though, because I
38:02we've got that news. I'd probably have to do two weeks in a fetal position crying. I would.
38:08I'd be like, I can't do it. I would be so frozen in fear. How did you have that strength to go, I'm gonna without falling into this trap of doomsday?
      38:18It just didn't feel
38:20it didn't feel like that's what it was. Okay. And I was like, I kept telling you something was really wrong and you couldn't find it.
38:27And I had to find it through the grace of God, but I it didn't feel like that was it. And I was like, I'm just gonna go try this because I really think that there might be something here.
38:39So I went on my eat, pray, love journey, and I did. I talked to my cells.
38:44I was like, every little cell in my body as well, every nerve, cell, tissue, skin, bone, organ, system is now rapidly returning to perfect health and harmony through the infinite intelligence within me, guided by God, Ayo Nectario and Panagia, and I would say it every day, the Virgin Mary and another healing saint of ours in our church, and I would say that every day.
39:06And so I know what's possible. Then when you go to the Equator again and then all your hot flashes disappear in a day, I know it's possible.
39:15So the mold is back. You're gonna do all these things. I wanna get to, like so your journey has, like, gone so many different ways, but one of the other things I love about Jenny is her commitment to, like, just integrity.
39:34Oh my god. I'm gonna cry. Fuck.
39:36No. Because, like, that's such a big thing, guys. There is so little of it in our world and definitely in the industries that are marketing to you, and that's why I try to hold such a really strong line for our show to not bring in anybody that I'm not using.
39:55And by the way, there's gonna be better stuff. Like, look.
39:58I talked about the book, Every Girl's Guide to Life. I was like, sorry. That's what I thought we were supposed to be doing back then, stack and attack.
40:04No. We need to chill. We're all growing and evolving, but I really try very carefully to vet everybody we say no to 90% of people, um, because I'm not gonna share anything with you that I'm not doing myself, that I don't believe in myself.
40:21So you always will have that, and I take your trust so, so seriously, but so does she.
40:28And she built her own beauty line. How many of you know about her beauty line, Formless Beauty?
40:34Okay. So what she's doing is so hard because I wanted to do it too.
40:43When I after brain tumor surgery, I remember talking to a friend who has a billion dollar beauty line, and I said, you know, I really wanna make something clean because I want something clean. And she said, don't do it.
40:57It's a nightmare. Don't do it. Trust me.
40:59I know all about it. Don't do it. And I was like, okay.
41:02Because I listen to my elders. This one doesn't. She's much braver and much bolder than I ever will be.
41:11She created this line called Formless Beauty. Her standards are under the most rigorous Regulations.
      41:23Yeah. Regulations. Thank you.
      41:24By the EWG,
41:25Environmental Working Group. Your beauty line is EWG certified. It is it's well, we're getting there.
41:31It takes years to do each individual one. I can explain it to you guys. I didn't wake up going, I wanna make a beauty brand.
41:37I was like but when I started looking into which brand was clean, I was floored because you can go to Sephora and see those check marks, and then you look under the hood and you're like, that shit ain't clean.
41:48Oh my gosh. How are they getting away with this? They're getting away with this because there's no real regulations when it comes to makeup.
41:55Literally, there are none. So, I mean, there are some made in 1918, but that's about it.
42:02Okay? No one is checking if your ingredients are clean, how much lead you have in your makeup. So I said, what do how do how is Jenny McCarthy gonna figure it out?
42:12So I met with the EWG. I said, listen. I wanna create a beauty brand under your regulations and your science.
42:19They've been doing the work for decades with their team of doctors and scientists to know what ingredients are bad and what ingredients are good. I'm like, they did all the work.
42:27This is gonna be easy. Well, they handed me a booklet of over 900 pages of unacceptable ingredients and over 700 pages of, uh, restricted ingredients and said, we love this idea.
42:37Good luck. I had no idea how incredibly difficult it would be because I learned that you can make so much money off of makeup using cancer causing ingredients.
42:50Literally, it costs cents, 1¢ for these ingredients, and then they charge you, you know, a fortune for the makeup.
42:57So we follow their restrictions. This is how it goes. We make our product, and then we go look at we followed all of your guidelines and your restrictions, and EWG looks at it.
43:06They look at everything, and they go, okay. Great.
43:09You did follow it. Now go test it. Yeah.
43:11So now we have to go third party test it. So now we're, like, checking if there's preservatives in our aloe. We're checking if we meet the regulations of the lead.
43:21So all of these regulations are so difficult in EWG. Like, the FDA standards, let's say, are here. EWGs are way up here.
43:30And that's what I wanted. I wanted to be what is the cleanest makeup in the world? No makeup at all.
43:35What's the next thing underneath that? I want that to be formless beauty. I want that to they have the integrity, the transparency where you go, and you can look to your kids to say start on a clean brand.
43:46So one of the things, there's a couple products if you don't mind me bragging about. Oh no, can I? Sure.
43:51I did a whole video for Okay. Not because she asked me to, but because I was like, she was like, she was on the show. She goes, if you try nothing else, try my cleanser.
43:58It's amazing. And so I had it at home, and I was like, okay. I'm gonna try it.
44:03And I was like, oh my god. I didn't actually I swear to god. I didn't know cleanser could actually take all your makeup off.
44:11I thought you had to do all the 10 other steps and that the cleanser was just like an extra little thing. This thing takes everything off, and I know people have the cleansing oils. I'm not a big fan of the cleansing oils.
44:21I'm a fan of the cleansing
      44:23Our ingredients
44:24for this is so clean that you don't burn your eyes either when you're taking your eye makeup off. It's magic. It's honestly, it's magic.
44:30Have to be like I have mine on the must have's wall, but it's all that stuff over there is my personal stuff off it from my bathroom. I love it. So please don't use it.
44:40Because I'm gonna go home and I'm gonna have stuff If there's something that I want you guys to try, and we're doing a Heal Squad 15 today. You can go online and put on Heal Squad 15. I'll probably make it last through the weekend.
44:52Heal Squad 15, you'll get 15% off. Which is hard, by the way, and I'm gonna say this because she might not, because she told me in comments, she was like, Maria, trust me, it would be so much easier to make money if I did this the other way.
45:03She's like, this is really hard. What Really she's doing, the reason why I want to support her so much is because she's doing it with integrity, and it's really hard.
45:16And so even giving the 15% off is really hard for her. It's not like all the other bigger companies where they're like, hey, you know, give it because that's a marketing tool. This isn't.
45:24She's actually really giving a gift right now. Thank you. That's absolutely true.
45:29Of course, of course. But I just want you guys to see the difference too of like super clean quality that actually works. Because sometimes makeup too, you buy that clean organic, you're like this stuff sucks, it doesn't even work.
45:40I teamed up with my makeup artist who's over there in the corner to say, you make it perform well and I'll make it clean. So together, we're like a superhero group. Yeah.
45:48She's great because I love the liner. Right. Lacunar creamers are so creamy.
45:53Yeah. Our mascara though is in a glass tube. Mascara is the second biggest offender when it comes to makeup.
45:59Google, does mascara have forever chemicals in it? If the answer is yes, it does have forever chemicals in it, not ours.
46:07Ours does not have hormone disruptors. It's in a glass container, and it goes on so well.
46:13It doesn't get glumpy or glunky. Here it is right here. Exfoliant too.
46:16The exfoliant too. So try the mascara as well because I get so worried when I see people using tubing mascara because that has microplastics in it. You want to try ours because you're gonna be like, oh my god.
46:29This works great. It's a heavy, fat, black plastic tube. Clean mascara that actually works.
46:34So grab it. We sold out seven times last year. We sold out after doing your show for the first time, we sold out No way.
46:41Oh, good. But then also, you guys, our exfoliating scrub is Mhmm.
46:46That's that's one of our things that you're gonna notice a difference in your skin in a couple weeks. Can we use these as samples for them to Of
46:52course. It smells like a spa. It
46:56smells so good, but we've got so many items. We've got hyaluronic acid that's not made with fermented bacteria because most is. Ours is botanical.
47:05What else do we have? Our moisturizer to die for. Works on oily skin, dry skin.
47:10And like she said, our liners are so creamy. They stay on. Our cheek and lip blush is beautiful.
47:17I really love, by the way, too, that I can put the lip stick, the lip gloss on and not feel like I'm eating chemicals. Right. Because we eat have you guys seen the statistics on how much lipstick we eat?
47:28Yeah. It's really scary, actually, if you really think about it.
47:31The I mean, I don't remember. You're literally eating what you're putting on your lips. Yeah.
47:36Ours is made with aloe, chamomile, and shea butter, and it's third party tested. So Yeah. It's good stuff.
47:42I hope you guys do give it a try. We are working
47:46very hard. We're getting more products out there. Yeah.
47:49You're like that's that company that I wanna support because then you can make more for us because my new thing I want you to do Okay. So I have been searching for like an organic hairline. There's nothing.
48:01Yeah. And there's really nothing other than if we go back to our Greek roots, Greek people, like the olive oil bar soap that we used to use when our parents had in the shower. So maybe we'll do that together or something because I do wanna do that at some point or or have you do it faster.
48:14I don't I do have deodorant working on a beautiful deodorant next year, of course, without the toxins in it. So keep an eye on us. Yeah.
48:22Just follow us and give us a try because I want you guys to feel the difference and then share it with other people because that's how we're able to make more products. Yeah. I think it's incredible.
48:30Because I remember when I first heard Jenny had a line, was like, oh, another celebrity line. And then when I found out more, I was like, oh, this is not just another celebrity line. This is a passion.
48:40In fact, you won't even find other celebrities on EWG.
48:43I know. They won't even put their line on there because they wouldn't pass anything. So I'm like, I'm gonna be the first celebrity brand within beauty.
48:51Yeah. Is the labor love. Thank
48:54you. Yeah. You guys are labor of love.
48:57So much fun. I really hope you guys enjoyed this conversation as much as we did. I can't even tell you what it felt like to record one of these episodes in front of a live audience.
49:07It was so cool. And to hear them laugh with Jenny and lean in during those deeper moments, and they were frantically taking notes, which was so cool. And it was just incredible.
49:16And that's what Heal Squad is all about, learning and healing and growing together. And we've gotten to finally do this in person, which was great. This was our first live podcast event ever.

      The Hook

      The bait, then the rug-pull.

Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg walked onto the Heal Squad stage on Cape Cod with her phone in hand, notes loaded. She was not there to deliver a keynote. She was there to open the protocol notebook she has been running for three months and tell 200 women exactly what is in it, what stopped working, and what comes next.
