How I Get 1.6M Views Every Day (Get More Traffic For Free)
Maria Wendt argues that a traffic problem is the root of most revenue problems, and that one piece of content, one call to action, one page and one platform fixes it.
Most revenue problems are really traffic problems, and free traffic compounds fastest when every piece of content points to one call to action on one page, posted on one platform you enjoy.

READ IF YOU ARE…
A coach, consultant or course creator who posts on three or four platforms and sees small numbers on every one of them.
A business owner with an offer and a booking or checkout page who has no idea how many daily visitors they need to hit an income goal.
Someone just starting out with no audience who wants proof that early posts get a handful of likes and that it is normal.

You want specific platform tactics, hooks or algorithm tricks, because the video stays at the system level and points to a paid course for tactics.
You already run a single-platform funnel with known conversion numbers and daily traffic targets.

Maria Wendt says most business owners have a traffic problem that shows up as a revenue problem, and that free platforms make traffic cheaper than it has ever been. Her system is simple: every piece of content sends people to one call to action, which leads to one page tied to revenue, posted on one platform you enjoy. To size the effort, divide your monthly income goal by your price, divide that by a 2% conversion rate, then by 30 to get daily visitors. Most of her students hit about 100 checkout visits a day with two posts a day. She ends with four common mistakes and a 30-day tracking experiment.

If you solve your traffic problem, you have inherently solved most of the other problems in your business, because revenue, calls and sales all follow visitors.
A four-color ad cost around $16,000 to produce in 1990, while an iPhone now makes the same asset for free.
Traffic follows a K-shape: some people build momentum and everything looks easy, while others never get started, and the gap comes from pushing on one thing long enough.
Content does not have to be a reel: a comment, a live stream or an email can all be the piece of content that carries the call to action.
One link on one page beats two, three or fifteen, because splitting traffic across pages dilutes every effort.
Spreading effort across four platforms fills four buckets a little each and fills none, and it also leaves you with unimpressive follower counts everywhere.
Pick the platform you personally scroll on, because you will stay consistent there and you already understand its inside jokes.
Your ideal customers are on every platform, so 'go where your customers are' is weak advice for choosing where to post.
Monthly income goal divided by price gives your sales goal: $10,000 at $150 means 67 sales a month.
At a standard 2% conversion rate, 67 sales needs about 3,350 people to see the offer each month, which is 112 per day.
Most of Maria's students who reach about 100 checkout page views a day do it with roughly two posts per day.
Run a 30-day experiment of one post a day across different formats and track responses to your call to action, because your own numbers beat averages.
Her own early posts from 2017 got two to six likes, so crickets in the beginning is the normal starting point.
Her rule of the five ones: one problem, one target market, one offer, one platform, one year.
Takeaway
Concentrate traffic before you scale it.
WHAT TO LEARN
Traffic gets easier when every piece of content points to one call to action on one page, posted on one platform, and sized against a daily number you calculated.
Treat low revenue as a traffic question first, because sales, booked calls and checkout visits all come from people arriving at your one page.
Send every post to one call to action and one revenue page, since splitting links across several pages dilutes the effort.
Pick one platform you enjoy scrolling yourself, because consistency and understanding of its culture matter more than where your ideal customer is.
Calculate daily traffic: income goal divided by price, divided by conversion rate (2% if unknown), divided by 30. The example gives 112 visitors a day.
Expect about two posts a day to reach roughly 100 checkout views, then run a 30-day experiment to find your own number.
Expect crickets early: her first posts earned two to nineteen likes, and momentum arrives after sustained pushing.

I get over 1 .6 million views every single day between all of my platforms. That is a ton of traffic, which is definitely plays a huge part in how I've made over $24 million selling digital products. But Most business owners have a massive traffic problem, and I have been saying this for years.
You have a traffic problem. You have a traffic problem, and we need to fix it. Traffic is the most important thing every business owner needs to have.
If you solve your traffic problem, you have inherently solved every other problem in your business. And what's so crazy to me is we live in an era where traffic is free.
I dove deep into how much it used to cost to generate traffic. And I found some insanely interesting things. For example, this New York Times article from 1990, where it talks about the cost to produce a simple ad, four colors, mind you, four color ad was like $16 ,000.
And if it was black and white, it was $5 ,000. You have an iPhone in your pocket? that can make stuff for free that can generate traffic for free and that doesn't even talk about the cost to run the ad i found some old stuff sharing prices on how much it used to cost to run a 30 second commercial thousands and thousands of dollars to get views that you can now get for free leveraging these platforms to generate traffic.
And so what I want to do is show you how to generate tons of traffic for free, how I get millions of eyeballs coming to my pages, coming to my account, coming to my content every single day. and i don't pay a penny for it now here's a quick note before we get into this i run a ton of ads i spend about 300 000 per month running ads very profitably so i actually generate a ton of traffic for free and i generate a ton of traffic via ads for the purposes of this video i am just going to show you what i do to generate traffic for free okay so what i did in preparation for this is i went back to the beginning i went back to the beginning when i had no audience i didn't have anybody to run ads i didn't even know how to run ads i didn't know anything about anything i was just getting started and i was dabbling in the world of like getting traffic trying to get people to work with me mind you this was back when i was designing logos so i was trying to get people to work with me to design their brands and i found some posts that really just show how much of a beginner i was i really just
was getting started. I really started with nothing. And I want you to see this because it's easy for you now to see, you know, between all my different platforms, I'm generating 1 .6 million views per day.
That's a lot of views, but don't fall into the trap of thinking that I magically was born knowing this, or I didn't have to like put my time in and pay my dues getting crickets. So here's some examples of not that long ago. I mean, 10 years ago.
So I guess that's kind of a long time. Gosh, I'm aged. I am.
Yikes. That's crazy. That's actually a long time ago.
However, however, camera guy's laughing, dying, whatever. Look at this. My new site launched.
And you can see here, 19 people liked it. Five people commented. And it was probably more like two people commented.
And then I replied to them and also left one of my own comments. So probably two people commented. And the 19 people was probably all my family because I'm a...
from a catholic family so everybody has 19 kids a piece so this is probably my cousins liking this and then two or three people commenting not a lot and like this is a launch so many of you guys are just getting started and your your expectations of where you would like to be is not based on reality you have to be willing to learn how to go from zero to 100 from 100 to a thousand a thousand to 100 100 000 to a million you have to be willing to walk up those stairs here's another example this is me bless my little heart 2017 so nine years ago if you could choose one word to describe your brand what would it be I'm trying to get engagement I'm trying to get somebody I'm trying to get something happening I zoom in two likes nothing horrible next one okay so this is a fat long post with a call to action at the very end this is the call to action of that same post Comment on this post with a yes and I'll send over all the details and everything you need to know.
So I've been playing this whole content to call to action game for literally 10 years. Guess what? Six likes, one comment.
Probably me commenting a link for whatever they're supposed to book. I put my time in. Now, the good news is you're watching this video.
I'll share with you all the things I did wrong so you don't have to take 10 years to get results. That's the whole goal. But I want you to see this.
It's so important for you to see all these things. where i got two comments here's another one two comments i want you to see this i need you to see this because it helps you understand that you are not alone if you're just getting started that we all have to work to build momentum when we generate traffic generating traffic is like pushing a boulder up a hill it's all hard work at the beginning you're pushing this massive rock up a hill and then you reach this point of like momentum and then you roll down the hill another analogy that I use that I really like to use and you may have heard of the k -shaped economy where some people if we use the k -shaped economy there's like this divide that's happening right now where some people are getting really wealthy and some people are getting really poor and it's an unfortunate but that seems to be what's happening with our economy some people are really able to to build themselves up and then other people are not for many many many different reasons and they they sink and there's this gap
this is really big gap so that's called the k -shaped economy i would argue that something is happening with traffic as well there's a traffic k -shaped economy where some people are able remember if we're all starting here some people are really able to generate a lot of momentum and get a lot of traffic and it looks easy for them i would be someone like this i would be in this comp and then some people for whatever reason are never able to generate that momentum and they really struggle to generate traffic and so our whole goal what we want to do in this video is help you become one of these people that is able to leverage the incredible power of traffic to make a bunch of money in your business so remember that k -shape economy when we go into this next section talking about what this actually all looks like okay so the first thing we need to do is actually define what we mean by traffic so that we're all on the same page just so you kind of understand how this works so everything begins with content now what i exactly mean by content i'll talk about in a minute but just know that everything literally everything starts with content lots of different kinds of content
But if you don't have content, you don't have traffic. Now, this content goes to what I call a CTA or call to action. So a CTA.
So you have content that goes to a call to action. And so if you think about this, step two is the call to action. What you want them to do after they've consumed that intentional piece of content.
Now. This content, which goes to one call to action, is going to go to one page. This is so important.
If you want to actually generate traffic, it needs to go to one page, not two, not three, not 15, one link, one page. And a lot of people get this wrong and they really struggle to generate traffic because they're trying to make all their traffic generation efforts go to multiple things. You do not want this.
Your traffic should be going to one thing. One. The content is going to go to one call to action on one page.
Now for most of you, that one page, sorry, my errors are really bad. But that one page is either going to be to like book a call or to check out, like to buy something. You really want to have this one page be directly tied to revenue.
So when I'm... generating all this traffic if you zoom out and look at this if I'm generating all of this traffic it's going from a piece of content to a clear direct call to action and that's going to one page and that one page is going to make me money that is how this whole thing becomes an actual business for me it's a business that's made 24 million dollars I followed this funnel here's the most important thing about this whole funnel and I wrote it down and don't want to say it wrong so I'm just going to read it it is so important for you to understand that That piece of content always starts with a piece of content, but it can be a comment.
That can be a piece of content. It can be a reel. It can be a live stream.
It can be an email. So if you think about that funnel that we just did with the content to the call to action to the one page, that call to action as a form of content can be many different kinds of content. So don't see what I do and think it has to be a reel.
It has to be a YouTube video. there's lots of different ways we can create that content to get that call to action but the key thing for you to understand at this stage is that it does start with a piece of content that has a call to action and that call to action is to go to one page which typically is to book a call or to check out here's one of the most important rules when it comes to generating traffic we have to generate traffic on one platform at a time so do you remember when we talked about the content And how it was going to go to one call to action.
Well, you actually need to post that content on one platform. So traffic equals one platform. Here's what most people do.
So let's say this is you and you're currently trying to generate traffic on Facebook, on Instagram. Let's say you've got a podcast and you're on email. That's like a pretty typical split.
So you're spreading your energy between four different platforms. And this is what it ends up looking like. You're filling your buckets each a little bit.
And none of them really generate the traffic that you would like. You're half -assing four different platforms and that is why you're not seeing the results you want to see. And not only that, from like a sociability and a credibility standpoint, people will go to your profiles and they'll see like 5 ,000 followers there, 1 ,000 followers there.
It's not really impressive and it doesn't, you're missing out on a lot of credibility that comes from pushing on one platform as much as you possibly can. So let me show you a different scenario. This is the scenario I would recommend when it comes to generating traffic.
So you have your one platform. Let's just use Instagram as the example. This is you.
All your effort gets to go to this one platform. So right away, your bucket is totally full because all of your traffic is going, all of your efforts are going to that one thing. But then here's where it gets really, really good.
Now you're making reels. So we'll just put a little R here. You're making carousels.
You're making stories. You're going live. And you're doing all these things.
Remember, this is all content that generates traffic. all of these are going to that one page so all of a sudden you have a sexy little system where literally everything goes to one source of traffic one page and so it creates this incredibly concentrated effort this incredibly concentrated momentum where all the stuff that was spread to all these things oh and by the way a lot of people are trying to get their traffic to go to a bunch of different pages so not only are you spread all the way over here it's also facebook's going to this thing instagram's going to this thing your podcast is going to that thing emails aren't really going to anything maybe a checkout page if we're lucky so it's very disjointed versus little old you over here is sending everything to the same platform and then that one platform is redirecting everything to that one page do you know how much more bang for your buck quite literally you get from that it's incredible and not enough people are doing this but this is why i got the results that i did and why i continue to get the results that i do now sometimes people ask me okay maria i'm in i'll pick one platform i got it how do i know what platform to pick should i be on facebook should i be on instagram which one should i be on
What I would tell you is different than what most people would tell you because most people will tell you, go where your ideal customers are. You've heard that advice before. But your ideal customers are everywhere.
Your ideal customers are on Facebook. They're on LinkedIn. They're on Instagram.
They're literally everywhere. You can find your ideal people on any platform. What I think that you should do is pick the platform that you actually enjoy being on.
What platform are you personally scrolling on? And the reason for that is you are so much more likely to stay consistent on a platform you actually enjoy. That's the first reason.
And the second reason is that there are nuances on every online community. The people who go on Reddit are very different than the people who go on TikTok. And the people who go on TikTok are very different than the people who primarily read emails or long blog posts.
These are different types of people. And each community has its own nuances. It has its own little ecosystems.
And so if you are already on a platform, you already understand the micro nuances, the little inside jokes. of that particular online community so pick the platform you enjoy being on now once you have your one platform we need to actually figure out how much traffic do i actually need in order to make the money that i want to make and i'm going to talk about this a little bit later when i talk about the top mistakes people make when it comes to generating traffic so we will touch on this again but here's what i will say most people have no idea how to connect the money that i want to make with the amount of traffic I need to generate.
And so what we're going to do is we're going to have my sister explain. She just did a little speech on this. We did it together.
It was awesome. But she literally walks you through for a few minutes exactly how to connect how much money you want to make with how many checkout page visits you need to have. And so let's say you want to make $10 ,000 a month.
And if you remember our funnel, you know, you have the content and then you have the call to action. And then that takes you to the one page. How do you know How many people go to that one page?
My sister Rose is going to explain how to do this. So this first step that we're going to do is we're going to calculate our monthly sales goal. Okay.
So how we do that is we take that monthly income goal, right? Most of you want to make $10 ,000 and we're going to divide that by how much we charge for our offer. So in this example, we are charging $150.
So we're taking 10 ,000 divided by 150 to then give us our sales goal, meaning how many units, how many products, how many. pieces of our offer we need to sell every month in order to hit $10 ,000. So 67 is our sales goal for step one.
Okay, we're going to go over all this in the worksheets. Step two. We're going to calculate our monthly traffic goal.
Now it's great to have a sales goal, but we like to really break it down. So we want to see how many people need to see our offer to get that 67 sales a month. It's nice to say, oh, I want to make $10 ,000.
I want to get 67 sales, but how many people actually need to see it? Okay. So what we do in step two is we take the 67.
that we got from step one, so the 67 sales, and divide that by our conversion rate. And so in this example, we use the very standard 2 % conversion rate. If you guys don't know your conversion rate, you can do the calculation with 2%.
That's what we would recommend. And what that gives us is a very specific number of people that need to see our offer in order to hit our goal. So in this example, 3 ,350 people need to see our offer every single month in order for us to hit $10 ,000, okay?
But we're gonna do one better because we like very specific daily things that we can hit. We like to break it down one step further. And so what we're gonna do is take the monthly traffic goal and divide it by 30 for 30 days in a month, okay?
And that gives us a daily traffic goal of 112 people, okay? So we're gonna summarize. what we just did.
Step one, we got our 67 unit sales goal, right? Step two, we got our monthly traffic goal of 3 ,350 people. And then in step three, we got our daily traffic goal of 112.
Okay. all in the worksheets shout out to my sister rose she is so good at explaining the math on that and i'll tell you as someone that used to never have that clarity understanding the correlation between the money you want to make and the traffic you need to generate in order to hit that goal was genuinely a life changer for me completely changed my life because i understood the inputs and outputs of if i do these things and generate this amount of traffic i will hit my revenue goal and it breaks down into such baby steps Now, we could have just left you there, and that would have been an amazing video.
But I wanted to take it one step further. So I'm going to do two things. I'm going to talk a little bit about how to actually generate, using Rose's example, how to actually generate 112 checkout page views per day.
I'm going to talk about what my actual students do. And then I'm going to share with you some of the biggest mistakes people make when it comes to generating traffic so you don't get stuck like I did. back in the day 10 years ago posting all of this stuff and getting complete crickets because i don't want that for you so let's dive right in starting with our 112 daily visits using rose's example now first things first most people have no idea how many posts need to i need to make in order to get the comments i want in order to have the amount of people respond to my call to action how many pieces of content is it five a day is it seven a day is it ten a day they just don't know So the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to give you a hint.
And I'm going to tell you that for most of my students who are generating around 100 checkout page views per day, which is a lot of my students, many of my students are generating at least 100 views per day. For most of them, it's about two posts per day. So if you think about our example that we use up here, maybe they're posting one reel a day.
And they're doing a live stream a day or they're posting one reel a day and one carousel or one carousel or one story. Instagram is just one example. I have students who have focused on many other different, like they're either all on YouTube or they're all on TikTok or they're all on Facebook.
So don't get hung up on the platform. Just understand that for all my students who are in tons of different industries, most of them will hit that goal of 100 checkout page views per day with two posts a day. That's very average.
Now. I want to push you a little bit more and I want you to track your data. So here's my challenge to you.
For the next 30 days, I want you to post once a day and I want you to try some reels. If Instagram is your platform, we're just going to pretend that's your platform. I want you to try some reels.
I want you to try some stories, some carousels, some live streams, all different kinds of content that the platform you pick can make. And I literally want you to track. How many comments, how many responses to my calls to action do I get when I post?
That is going to give you your actual data. And so for some of you, you'll do this experiment and you say, hey, you know what? Maria was right on the money.
Two posts a day is exactly what I need to do. Others, you'll realize, oh no, I'm way better at this than I thought. I only need to post every other day in order to hit my daily traffic goal.
And some of you are like, yeah, I'm still in the learning phase. So I actually need to do even more reps to practice and just get better. There's no judgment.
Everyone's numbers are their numbers. The point is we want to. Start with an average, two posts a day.
I know that, okay, that's most people's, but really what we wanna do is push you guys to know your actual numbers. And so that is why I want you to run this 30 -day experiment. Now, there are some mistakes that people make when it comes to generating traffic that I do not want you to make.
So I'm gonna go over these. I'm literally gonna read off of this bit that I wrote down because it's super important. So what keeps people from generating traffic?
What are the mistakes that I made back in the day when I had nothing but crickets? First thing is they don't know how much traffic they need. So I had no idea how much traffic I actually needed to generate in order to hit the income goals I want.
Right away, in this video, we have already eliminated that problem for you because you've gone through the exercise that Rose did where she helps connect your revenue goals to your traffic goals and what you actually need to be hitting. So right away, you're further along than most people. You already have an advantage.
Second thing. is people try to generate traffic to multiple different things. Now, I have a whole video on this where I talk about the rule of the five ones.
And the rule of the five ones is if you want to get $2 million as fast as possible, you need to solve one problem for one target market with one offer on one platform for one year. every one of my students that hit a million dollars in a year follow the rule of the five ones so again there's a whole other video on that i recommend you look into that but if you're trying to generate traffic to several different products several different offers you kind of saw me reference this a little bit you're spreading yourself really thin and you're not making the most amount of money you could be making you're leaving quite a bit of money on the table third mistake that i see that's a really big one and i think we're all guilty of this to a degree is that they are unwilling to just grab the bull by the horns and just get in it.
Traffic generation is one of the hardest nuts to crack. It requires the most perseverance. It requires the most flops, the most failures, the most, I think, discouragement.
It's the hardest thing to solve for business owners. However, solving it solves almost every problem business owners have. You don't have enough money?
Cool. If you knew how to send a thousand people to your checkout page, we would solve that problem really fast. You don't have enough sales calls?
Cool. Send a bunch of people to your sales call page. filled up with calls you any literally pretty much any issue in a business is solved with more traffic for the most part some of them you can't but for the most part most of you guys have revenue problems which really means you have traffic problems and so if your unwillingness to sit in this shit and solve it is why you're not making the money you want to make and so that's my call to you is just be willing to grab that bull by the horns and say this is a nut i'm going to work on until i actually crack it fourth they literally don't know what to do to generate traffic.
Now we went over some really good stuff, but I will say this is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much that we can do to generate traffic, especially if you do not have an audience. There are so many different ways you can leverage other people's audiences, take advantage of the work other people have done.
It's called guerrilla marketing or guerrilla traffic generation. And it's not guerrilla like a gorilla, it's guerrilla like little army warfare. Like when you don't have a big army, you're just little and you're like...
making shit happen with a small amount of people so you do the same thing with traffic there are things you can do and things you can leverage and little ways that you can make the algorithm work for you even if you don't have a big audience at all and so literally today the day you're watching this video i launched a traffic course i have been talking about traffic and solving traffic for a very long time but i've always identified it as a problem and i never talked about what to actually do to solve that and so today if you were seeing this video today we just launched a brand new traffic course and it has a special launch price so a really big discount we always do this on the day we launch our courses they always have a huge discount so if you want to grab this brand new traffic course today I highly recommend you do.
I'm going to put a link in the description. It will solve all of your traffic problems. It's one of the best courses I've ever created and I'm so excited to see you there.
