Big Idea
The argument in one line.
A scheduled browser-based AI agent can take over the repetitive parts of local SEO link building, such as citation audits, listing creation, link prospecting and index checks, for a flat monthly fee.
Who This Is For
Read if. Skip if.
READ IF YOU ARE…
You run a local SEO agency or rank-and-rent sites and spend hours each week building and checking citations by hand or through VAs.
You outsource citations to Fiverr vendors and have no cheap way to verify the work is real and the name, address and phone are correct.
You want to see concrete prompts and workflows for putting a browser agent on recurring SEO housekeeping.
SKIP IF…
You want a technical link building strategy for national or ecommerce sites, since this is all local citations, sponsorships and directories.
You want the actual 2,000-link target list, which is shown only as a preview and is sold inside the presenters' paid community.
TL;DR
The full version, fast.
Jacky Chou and Tristan Zheng show how their agency uses a 24/7 browser AI agent, mainly Grokbot, to automate local SEO link work. They give it the business name, address, phone, hours and descriptions, then have it audit vendor citations line by line, find niche directories, build listings, create social profiles and pillow links, prospect local sponsorship links, spy on competitors, and re-check indexing and 404s. A flat plan of roughly 20 to 30 dollars a month replaces much of what a VA or Fiverr vendor did, though payments and cadence need human limits.

02 · Auditing Fiverr vendor citations
A live audit for Vet Pet Alliance checks every listing for a real URL and correct NAP, finding mismatches caused by an old clinic purchase.
07:23 – 09:53
03 · Niche directories, building citations and pillow links
The agent hunts niche and city directories, builds listings from a NAP sheet, and creates social profiles and pillow links.
09:53 – 11:21
04 · Sponsorship links and competitor tracking
Crawling Google Maps for schools and local groups to sponsor, and monitoring competitors' reviews and new citations around the clock.
11:21 – 14:59
05 · Index checks, 404 rebuilds and wrap-up
Periodic index checks, 404 monitoring, and why the hosts think citation vendors are in trouble.
Atomic Insights
Lines worth screenshotting.
Fiverr citation vendors often hand back screenshots of half-filled forms, so every delivered URL should be audited for a real, live listing.
An agent can search Google for a business's phone number and address to discover existing citations nobody tracked.
A NAP mismatch can come from a business buying an old clinic, and fresh citations are the fix since newer listings carry more weight.
Niche and city-specific directories are low-leverage to hunt by hand but cheap for an agent to find at scale.
Letting an agent pay for paid listings automatically is risky, so approve and pay for them yourself.
Handing an agent a pre-written SOP turns a long citation checklist into a one-shot task.
Local sponsorship outreach to schools, communities and nearby businesses is slow to prospect, and agents can crawl Google Maps and directories to build the list.
You can have an agent track competitors continuously, watching new reviews and new citations, then copy their listings.
Citations drop out of the index regularly, so a batch re-index every two to three months is an easy ranking win.
Index checking costs roughly a tenth of a cent per URL, so a 400-line batch is almost free.
Agents with no limits can burn budget, so set a deliberate cadence for recurring tasks.
Different agents have different strengths: Muse gives straight answers, Tab is strong for video content, Grokbot suits browser tasks.
Takeaway
Hand the repetitive link work to an agent
WHAT TO LEARN
A browser agent on a flat monthly plan can audit, build and monitor citations around the clock, as long as you set limits and keep payments in your own hands.
Audit vendor work line by line for a real live URL and a matching name, address and phone, because screenshot-only deliverables are common.
Give the agent the exact NAP, hours and descriptions once, and it can build and fix listings from that single source.
Use agents to discover niche and city directories, which are tedious to find by hand but valuable for coverage.
Do not let an agent pay for listings by itself. Approve and pay for them yourself to avoid runaway spend.
Automate sponsorship prospecting and competitor tracking by giving the agent a city, a service area and the type of organization to target.
Re-check indexing and 404s every two to three months in a batch, since dropped citations quietly erase earlier gains.

What's up guys? Today we're going to walk through how you can build 2000 plus high DR backlinks using AI agents. I think this was a very highly requested video.
However, I was worried about cannibalizing our services, like for example, local rank, the local boost, the super boost, yada, yada, yada. However, I think this might actually just excel things, right? It's just age of abundance.
So we're just going to do the video. Tristan, how's it going? How do you feel about the episode?
I think it's going to be a banger, right? Yeah, I'm doing well. I feel good about this episode because we are actively using this within our agency and it has 10x our productivity and the quality of our work.
I had a buddy, Caleb, put me on with Grokbot and like ever since it's just been, it's been lights out. It's been like completely changed the way I do local SEO. So excited to kind of share that with you.
you guys and also local ranked academy awesome so yeah i think you have a doc going let's share a screen before we get started i think there's a couple ai agents that everyone can use uh tristan's gonna largely be talking about grokbot i use muse muse gets stuck on some tasks so maybe check out grokbot if you don't if you have time muse is great tab is great Yeah.
And if you guys want a full list of like the backlinks plus the SOP that we can hand off to, we're going to be dropping some insane sauce and just the backlinks list of over 2000 targets in the Local Rank Academy. I think Tristan will do a quick, probably preview of what it looks like and what you'll get. But yeah, let's get going, man.
Sounds good. Share my screen.
So yeah, like Jackie said, I'm mainly going to be talking about Grokbot just because that's like the most popular option. But you can use like Muse, Tab. But I know a lot of people in Advise who are doing some pretty cool stuff with like these types of agents.
And my buddy put me on with Grokbot. Since we've been using it, we've been doing a lot of different things around local SEO. And yeah, like Jackie said, we're...
kind of releasing this to the local rank academy and a lot of like what we're advising you to build you can just kind of get the full list here it also has like a website builder agent which we talked about in the past for rank and rents but yeah uh how we're currently using rockbot is to pretty much like um not like we'll almost fully automate our citation building as well as our like local link sourcing um yeah i think a lot of these fiber citation builders might be in trouble um because grokbot is like it runs across like a 24 7 right you can just automate schedule tasks and have it do it every single day you know until your usage is used up but it's pretty efficient with it's like how much you can get out of i think it's like 30 20 30 a month but here's kind of how we're using it number one this is the best um way we've been using it is auditing vendor citations.
So I have a really good vendor now. He's pretty good. But in the past, I have wanted to pull hair out just because like a vendor will send a citation report.
I won't look at it for like a month. And then one of my VAs will be like, hey, yeah, I've been like indexing these links. And the links they're giving us are just screenshots of like the thing filled out, but not fully filled out.
I'm like, are you serious? Like, you know, so what I have it doing right now is. Literally just going line by line and looking through each URL to make sure, you know, we actually got a real citation.
And then also making sure like the NAP is right. Like, you know, the name, address, phone number. Because a lot of these like Fiverr citation builders are like pretty lazy.
So unless you're like properly vetting them, they're not going to, you know, do 100 % every single time. And now you can have like a little 24 -7 like manager who's just reviewing all of their links and making sure. Everything looks good.
And if it doesn't look good, it'll email them and say like, hey, these listings are not good. We're going to, you know, we're going to not pay you until this is fixed. Right.
And I literally did this for Ali over at Vet Pet Alliance, where I just, I literally, I didn't even give it a full list of URLs. I just told it to find, you know, search for the phone number and the address of Vet Pet Alliance to find existing citations.
in Google search results and just audit them, right? Make sure the NAP looks good. And you can see like, this is what it gave me here, right?
And it's still working in the background right now. Like it's literally building new citations. But one key thing I found was like a lot of these had like NAP mismatch because they actually bought an old vet clinic, right?
So now he has, not only does he have a full list of like... pages that need to get fixed but grokbot literally is just going to build build new citations on these pages right um and because fresher citations matter more we should be able to fix this overnight literally overnight right and you can see even here like the we have the zoom in a bit so you can see right here like we have all of these citations that um grokbot is going to fix There's some that they won't be able to fix.
Like if let's say we have to change Yelp, we'd have to like actually reach out to the Yelp department. But like for the one... Hell, I think Grok may be able to reach out, right?
Honestly, it might be able to. It can at least get the email sent out. And then like, you know, if you have to get on a phone call, you might as well just like 11 labs it with like a voice agent, right?
So everything is going to be a computer in like six months probably. um yeah it's even going to give us the username and password so like if we want to run something again we can just go in and change it as is but it's getting pretty crazy so that's what we've been doing so far for um like that's what i've brought about doing right now literally as we speak um but all you have to do is just give it the correct like nap hours description website and then i just literally voice note it and tell it to audit every listing that the vendor gives us and make sure that everything matches exactly according to the name, address, and phone number.
And everything is like a 200, right? We're not getting any 404s. This is pretty exciting.
We've been doing this too. So there's a lot of business directories out there that you might not necessarily know about. that are within your niche, right?
Or within your city, right? There's probably a ton of like New Jersey, New York related business directories for like a business like Vet Pet Alliance that they're just not getting listed in because their old Fiverr vendors don't care to check for these things. And, you know, it's a low leverage thing to go and search for a lot of these like business directories.
But Grawk can do that for you both across your city. as well as like your niche in your industry and so you're getting a lot of not only are you kind of building like your standard citations that any fiverr vendor or even like local rank local rank will will build for you uh you're gonna have grokbot hunt down these like super niche directories as well for other citation opportunities right um that's just like something you weren't able to do like for maybe four or five years ago um when you know before We got to where we are with AI agents.
And then this is kind of a play on what I've been saying here, which is once it finds all of these citations, it's kind of building them for us as we go right now, right? And for the ones that we have to pay for, it's going to let me know and then I'll just approve it and then it'll just pay it for me. But that's a little risky.
Honestly, I would not recommend doing that. I'm probably just going to pay for them myself.
But yeah. Pretty simple. Literally, I just give it the exact same NAP, hours, descriptions, give it the list of sites to build or whatever it found from the audit, and I just tell it to build them, right?
It's also really good for social profiles and pillow links. I know there's a guy in Advise who's literally spamming this. Every single business he whips up, he now has Grokbot building all these social profiles and pillow links.
Which is pretty crazy. And yeah, little shameless plug. If you're in LocalRank Academy, you have 2 ,500 buffer links right here.
Yeah. So, yeah. Just kind of not going to show you guys all of this, but...
Yeah, don't show all of it, but you can also hand it to the click that hand to AI agent. It's pretty sick. And it gives you like an...
Complete SOP on how to do everything. Sick. Yeah, you just one -shot this to Grokbot and you'll be chilling.
So yeah, we're trying to make y 'all's job easier if you want to do social profiles and pillow links and citations. Another thing that's starting to get really juicy is I know a lot of local SEO agencies, these people, what they like to do is they like to reach out to schools, local communities. even other local businesses.
Again, that stuff takes time, finding these businesses, finding these organizations. And so what we have Grokbot doing now is just like crawling Google Maps, hunting through different directories, finding us a list of like these local organizations, businesses and schools to reach out to for sponsorships. And so it's pretty much automating like half of our link building, right?
Because we do a lot of local backlinks. Pretty easy. Just give it the city and the service area and then just ask it to find local backlink and sponsorship opportunities based off of like what type of organization you want links from, right?
This is something I just thought of today. You know, when I was making lunch, I was like, we can literally just track our competitors 24 -7, right? You can have them track and see how many reviews have they built this week.
Have them search for their phone number, for their address in Google. See if they have any new citations and just whip up citations on those sites, right? So it's getting pretty crazy.
And then indexing as well, right? A lot of these citations fall out of the index. So you can have Rockbot check whether these citations are still indexed.
I believe index checks gives you that opportunity, right? So you could literally just... Give it the login and it'll just run it periodically.
It's pretty crazy Yeah before you you would have to like check manually every like two weeks right keep your team on top of it Now you just give it to grok bot and it'll never forget it might just do it too much to be honest. Yeah So yeah, I might burn it burn your budget. You have to like set a proper cadence Because a lot of people don't realize that citations drop out of index quite often, actually.
And it's pretty annoying. We just have to periodically go in and just index them. I would say every two, three months or so, just go in, do a whole batch.
It's freaking 400 lines. And each index is like a tenth of a cent or something like that, right? So just do it, man.
Just do it. You'll see a bump in rankings right away. Just do it type of thing.
Exactly. So it's an easy win. before you would give this to a va build out a whole sop and now it's a you just tell grok what you want and it'll do it for you right but again you can use like muse dot any of these other options but we use rockbot personally um at the moment uh and then just another thing kind of for ongoing housekeeping is a lot of these citations sometimes they fall out of the index sometimes the site owner just straight up deletes the page right or like something happens, right?
There's been times where we go and click on the URL, check it. It's a 404 now, right? You can have Grokbot also check for 404s.
And if it happens, you can just kind of adjust your citation tracker sheet wherever you track your citations and either try to rebuild the listing or find a new site to be listed on. This is probably like the lowest, I don't know. I don't know if I want to say it's the lowest leverage item out of these.
eight things, but we are actively implementing like checks and balances to make sure citations state indexed and aren't, you know, deleted. That's basically what I'm trying to say. But it's very easy.
I think the main, like the crazy thing here is you just have a 24 seven agent who can run a lot of that autonomous stuff that you no longer want to do. Right. And one of the worst, not worst parts of local SEO, but one of the most like.
time -consuming parts is building citations, keeping things indexed, finding new opportunities. And now we're using Grokbot to automate all of that.
Yeah. And it's not completely limited to Grokbot, but yeah, your mileage may vary across different agents. For example, I don't know if you've tested Grokbot versus Muse versus Tab.
But I found each agent is good at its own thing. So Muse is good at like no BSing and just like giving me straight answers. Whereas Tab is incredible for video content.
So seems like Grokbot might be great for these like browser -based tasks. So yeah, just check it out. Let us know if this episode was helpful.
