Big Idea
The argument in one line.
Turning an X account into $100,000 in 90 days is a reverse-engineered math problem, not luck: pick a follower-to-call ratio and a cash-per-call number, then work backward to the exact follower count that guarantees the outcome.
Who This Is For
Read if. Skip if.
READ IF YOU ARE…
A coach, agency owner, or service provider who wants to turn X into a client-acquisition channel instead of just a place to post.
Someone starting an X account from zero who wants a numbers-first plan instead of vague 'just be consistent' advice.
A creator or business owner deciding what belongs in their profile header, bio, and pinned post to convert visitors into followers.
SKIP IF…
You're chasing follower count for its own sake with no offer or service on the other end to sell.
You already run a mature X funnel and want advanced growth tactics rather than the foundational setup.
TL;DR
The full version, fast.
Marcos Ruiz opens with a client case study (5,000 followers, 100+ booked calls, $160,000 in 90 days) and reverse-engineers it into a repeatable system. He builds a financial model around a 50-to-1 follower-to-call ratio and roughly $1,000 cash collected per booked call, which means a $100,000 goal reduces to one number: 5,000 new followers. From there he covers profile setup (header, photo, bio, mutual followers), sourcing content ideas by mining competitors' outlier posts and sales-call objections, the five-pillar PESTO posting framework, when to attach a call-to-action versus letting a post breathe, and the cold-DM script and outbound cadence he used to land his first client from zero followers. He closes by teaching a bottleneck analysis to diagnose whether the account's problem is followers, lead quality, or closing.

States the thesis: a client went from a blank account to 5,000 followers, 100+ booked calls, and $160,000 in 90 days, and he'd run the same playbook again from zero.

Atomic Insights
Lines worth screenshotting.
A 50-to-1 follower-to-call ratio is the agency's benchmark: for every 50 new followers, expect roughly one booked sales call.
At about $1,000 cash collected per booked call, 1,000 new followers should generate roughly $20,000 in revenue across most niches.
Reaching $100,000 in 90 days reverse-engineers to one number: 5,000 new followers, which should produce 100 booked calls at these ratios.
A profile photo of you speaking on stage or working signals more authority than a beach photo or a group cutout.
Aim for at least a 1-to-1 follower-to-following ratio, ideally 2-to-1, even though the old algorithm's hard 0.6 cutoff no longer applies.
Mutual followers, not raw follower count, are the biggest driver of profile-to-follow conversion: 1,000 followers with 100 mutuals beats 50,000 followers with none.
Searching a competitor's profile with the min_faves operator surfaces their proven outlier posts, which can be templatized for a different niche.
The 'idea miner' method mines sales-call and consulting-call transcripts for repeated objections, then turns each objection into a piece of content that pre-handles it.
The PESTO framework splits every post into one of five pillars: Personal, Expertise, Social proof, Trending, and Opinions.
The identical underlying story got 22 likes as a plain anecdote but went viral once reframed as a direct opinion: 'study the players, not the commentators.'
An auto-plug tool only inserts a CTA under a post once it crosses roughly 30 likes, so unproven content isn't wasted on a pitch.
A keyword CTA (reply or DM a specific word) starts an actual DM conversation, which converts to booked calls better than a generic bio link.
A 2022 cold DM offering free work until a follower goal was hit landed the agency's very first paying client, and the same script still works today.
Scaling cold outreach without AI meant sending 100 personalized DMs a day at 6am for six months, scraped from a competitor's engaged followers with Phantom Buster.
A bottleneck analysis on the financial model pinpoints exactly where a personal brand stalls: not enough followers, poor lead quality, or a weak close.
Takeaway
The Follower-to-Call Math Behind a $100K X Account
GROWTH BY THE NUMBERS
Turning X followers into $100,000 comes down to a fixed follower-to-call ratio and a cash-per-call number, so the entire growth plan is really just reverse-engineered math.
01Cold Open: The $100K Premise
The core claim: an agency client went from a blank account to 5,000 followers, over 100 booked sales calls, and $160,000 in cash in 90 days.
The whole video reverse-engineers that outcome into a repeatable process, not a one-off result.
02The Math Behind It All
Set three targets, not one: followers gained, calls booked, and cash collected, and treat followers as the single top-of-funnel input.
The benchmark used is a 50-to-1 follower-to-call ratio and roughly $1,000 cash collected per booked call across most niches.
Reverse-engineering a $100,000 goal at those benchmarks means the only number to chase is 5,000 new followers, which should produce 100 booked calls.
03Setting Up Your X Profile
Pass the three-second credibility test: a profile view needs to answer who you are, what you do, and what you can do for the visitor almost instantly.
Use a simple company-logo header unless you have a genuinely strong 'aura' asset like a stage photo or a trophy; skip generic skyline or stock imagery.
A candid photo of you speaking, working, or on stage signals more authority than a posed group shot; a plain headshot is an acceptable fallback.
Mutual followers are the single biggest lever on profile-to-follow conversion, so actively get friends, clients, and your network to follow the account early.
04How to Get X Content Ideas
Use the min_faves search operator on a competitor's profile to surface only their proven, outlier posts, then templatize the format for your own niche.
Mine transcripts of sales, consulting, and coaching calls for repeated objections, then turn each objection into a standalone piece of content.
Build custom timelines for adjacent niches and pull hooks from other platforms (YouTube titles, TikToks, Reddit) as additional idea sources.
05Twitter/X Content Strategy: The PESTO Framework
Rotate every post through one of five PESTO pillars, Personal, Expertise, Social proof, Trending, and Opinions, so the account never repeats one content type.
The same underlying story performs completely differently depending on framing: a plain anecdote got 22 likes, but reframed as a direct opinion it went viral.
Trending is the most underrated pillar: X breaks news before other platforms, so timing a post to a live cultural moment can matter more than the idea itself.
06How to Get Leads on Twitter/X
Don't add a CTA under every post; use an auto-plug tool to insert one only after a post crosses roughly 30 likes, so unproven content isn't wasted on a pitch.
A keyword CTA (reply or DM a specific word) converts better than a generic link because it starts an actual DM conversation that can be steered toward a booked call.
Once a post is already an outlier, plugging a CTA under it lets the content ride the algorithm first and monetize the reach it's already earned.
07How I'd Get My First Clients From X
With zero followers, cold DMs are the fastest path to a first client; a 2022 script offering free work until a follower goal was hit landed the agency's first paying client.
Cold outreach at scale meant sending 100 personalized DMs a day at 6am for six months, scraped from a competitor's engaged follower list with a tool like Phantom Buster.
Track reply rate, booking rate, show rate, and close rate on every batch of outbound DMs to know exactly where the outbound system is leaking.
Run a bottleneck analysis on the financial model: a high follower-to-call ratio means fix lead quality or script, a low cash-per-call means fix closing, show rate, or price.

Idea Miner
A method of transcribing sales, consulting, or coaching calls and mining them for repeated client objections, then turning each objection into a piece of content.
Auto-plug
A social scheduling tool feature (found in apps like Hypefury, Tweet Hunter, or Typefully) that automatically adds a call-to-action reply under a post only after it crosses a set engagement threshold.
Personal Brand Math
A reverse-engineering exercise that starts from a revenue goal and works backward through cash-per-call and follower-to-call ratios to find the exact follower count needed to hit it.

If someone told me I had to make $100 ,000 in the next 90 days on X, I think I'd be able to do it. And the reason I'm pretty confident is that one of our clients recently just gained 5 ,000 followers, booked over 100 sales calls, and made over $160 ,000 in just 90 days. So if I had to start again with a completely blank account, knowing everything that I know now, I have a pretty good idea of how I'd be able to do it.
And that's what I'm gonna show you in this video. I'm gonna start with a blank account and take you through everything I do in those 90 days to try and get it to $100 ,000. So let's start off with what it takes to get to that.
that figure. Okay. So to start out, I just want to do a quick financial model of what this needs to look like so that we have our end goal in mind for this entire video.
So essentially what we want to do is set up a follower target, a calls book target, and a cash target. So we'll start with followers and then we'll go to calls booked, and then we'll go to just cash and I'll make those into three little columns. So our number one metric always is going to be followers gained.
And if you have a metric called follower to call ratio, you'll be able to know the relationship between how many followers you're gaining and how many calls you're booking as a result. So across all the accounts we've worked with, we see on average a 50 follower to call ratio.
So for every 50 followers, we're aiming for one call book. So I'll put that as a little bit of a North star up here. We're looking for a 50 F to C ratio.
So if we just make our goal here, a clean 1000 new followers, and we are aiming for that 50 follower to call ratio, then we should be looking for 20 calls booked. And then on those 20 calls booked, if we're collecting about a thousand dollars per booked call on average, then we should be able to generate twenty thousand dollars in cash off those one thousand followers so for every one thousand followers you're making twenty thousand dollars and this is about accurate across all niches on average obviously it's going to be a little bit more niche depending on your offer size depending on how big your tam is etc so in this video if we're trying to go for a hundred thousand dollars we just need to work backwards off of this hundred thousand dollar number so this is just gonna be based on this one thousand dollar cash collected per book call number so we'll just put a little bit of a north star up here this is the relationship between your calls booked and how much
cash you're collecting so if we're going for 1k technically cash dollars per booked call these are going to be two north star metrics and for the purpose of this video we're going to focus on a 50 follower call ratio and a 1k cash collector per book call rate so on this hundred thousand dollars total we're going to need 100 book calls and in order to get these 100 book calls since we're just working backwards we need to gain 5 000 followers over the 90 days so this is going to be the number we focus on and this is going to be the top of the funnel this is the number one input if we assume all of these other things are true with 5 000 followers we will book 100 calls and collect 100 000 and we've done this time and time again for myself across clients etc so let's go a little bit deeper so now that we actually have a goal we know what we're working towards we've reversed engineered the actual numbers we need to get into actually setting up your account so what i did is i logged into a client account i went to my profile and now i'm able to see what my profile looks like to prospects and clients so the most important thing when you're going to a profile like this is there's
really the three second credibility test, which I always talk about. And that needs to address who you are, what you do and what you can do for somebody else. And on X, there's a bunch of different things to look at at your profile.
So let's go through them step by step here. Let's just start top down, do a little bit of a top down analysis. So at the top, the first thing we're going to look at is the header.
There's a couple of different ways you can do a header. I like to have a header that is just my company logo. I think that's the bare bones easiest way to do it.
Now there's other ways to do headers if you want to be a little bit more artsy or you want to be a little bit more cool a great example of this if you want to try and have aura with your header is like jeremy haynes he has the jeremy's inner circle thing in the background he has the million dollar per month trophy you don't have a cool candid thing like that don't put like a new york skyline or something like that just go with the company logo to keep it super simple then what we have is the profile picture so profile pictures i like to do a couple of different things you can do a candid if you have candids you're on stage talking you in the office working you at an event that's best those typically give off the highest signal of authority and then i'd say second after that if you just want to be basic just use a headshot as if it's like a LinkedIn or something like that don't do something cool where you're like cut out of a picture with other people or you're at the beach or some weird thing like that I recommend those two if you're trying to maintain the highest Authority I obviously have a candidate of me on stage speaking and I'm even wearing my birdhouse hat so it works out really well then you have the name there's a couple of ways to do the name you can do the SEO style names where you have your name and then you have a pipe and then you have what you actually do I like to just have my first name and then I have my affiliate badge so if you do have a
organization. You can put your affiliate badge there and it adds a nice little touch to the overall aesthetic of the profile. Then in your headline, again, what you do.
So for me, I'm the CEO at the Birdhouse, but even further, we build viral, profitable, personal brands on X, LinkedIn, and more. So this is who I am, what I can do, and what I can do for other people, especially on X. I like to add a nice little personal touch.
So for me, I'm an Arsenal fan. That's my little personal touch. It's optional.
I think it just adds a little bit more depth and relatability. And I typically convert a lot more followers on people can actually relate. relate to me and my personal hobbies so location if you want to dox your location you can put your location if you don't you could just put a little CTA with an arrow pointing towards your website they both work fine and then of course you want to have your website it's important that your website is cohesive that it has the same branding the same company that has your header what you do Etc it should work really nicely so recommend putting like a landing page and opt -in a lead magnet a newsletter something like that the next thing that people don't really think about is the follower to following ratio back in the day in the old heuristics based algorithm there used to be rules that said that your follower to following ratio actually mattered in how much reach you got.
With the new algorithm, it's a little bit unclear if that's still taken into account, but I always like to have a positive follower to following ratio. So whenever we bring on a client, we make sure that they're at the very least one -to -one, but ideally two -to -one. Obviously, if you have a lot of followers like me, the follower to following ratio isn't really something to consider anymore.
And then the last thing that's really important is the mutual followers. So obviously you cannot engineer the mutual followers if you don't know anybody. Something I always tell to clients that we sign is to get all of their friends, their network, their business companions to follow them on X so that they can buff up this little mutual followers thing.
When somebody goes to your profile, I always say I'd rather have like a thousand followers and a hundred mutuals than have 50 ,000 followers and no mutuals. You typically will just look like way more of a bot if you don't have these mutual followers. So these mutual followers are by far the number one leading indicator on actual profile visit to follower conversion.
So ideally you make friends, you network and you get this mutual follower count as high as possible. by networking in your industry DMing people getting your friends to follow you etc as you grow this number will grow but again it's the most important thing so when someone sees my profile they see over a hundred and nine people that are mutual followers so obviously that just ramps up my authority a ton and the likelihood that they're gonna click the follow button is much higher and then a couple of other quick tips on profile pinned post I always like to have a piece of social proof so for us I'm always just pinning something new something recent for social proof one of our clients pulled $148 ,000 in cash off LinkedIn inbound DMS in a single month, true story.
And then everything you pin will actually go into your highlights section. So I like to make the highlights section, just an infinite scroll of testimonials and social proof for my business. So that's just a little bit of a tip for you that you can implement today on your profile.
Okay. So once your account's set up, you need to actually start posting. And the first thing you need for that is ideas.
So one thing I'm going to do here is I'm just going to pull up a big agency owner on X. This is a friend of mine, Bodie. He was nice enough to let us to use his profile for this YouTube video.
And real quick, you can already see on his profile. immediately what he does, who he is, Striker Digital. I see that he does Google business profiles.
It's in the header. This is another cool way you can use your header. Free SEO guy.
I know he does SEO. I know he's in Boca. And I know if I click his profile, it's going to be Striker Digital, which is essentially a landing page to book a call.
I can already see on his page that he's posting tons and tons of social proof. So I'm going to go through some of his content and see what I can find for content ideas. And also really important to note, I personally know that Bodhi's generated hundreds of thousands in monthly recurring revenue from his X account.
So again, I already know. this is a successful setup and again you can even see the mutual followers here we have 80 mutual followers so again that's like the biggest biggest indicator of if i'm gonna follow you or not so one thing i can do is i can go up to his profile i can hit just like a min underscore faves and then just go for a hundred and what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna look for outliers in terms of pieces of content that i can post that are based on winning frameworks from another agency owner so i'll start with 100 and see just how many posts he has with 100 likes he has a good amount august 29th august 28th i might even go more than that might even go 500.
so if i go to 500 i can already see a bunch of winning frameworks so what i like to do is i like to just kind of doom scroll all of the posts he has for 500 obviously i'm not going to be able to replicate something like a baby announcement but i can look at something like this and i'll just right click and open them all in a new tab so i can start getting a bunch of ideas off to the side here so what i like to do here and obviously you can play with the min underscore faves command and find a bunch of different outliers for whatever profiles you want.
So I pulled up a couple of here and I think this is a really good one because this is a thread. So the most slept on home service business in America right now is water filtration, almost zero competition, insane margins. If I launch one tomorrow, here's exactly what I do.
So what I can do, obviously I don't work in the home services niche, but I would essentially take this hook and reverse engineer it for my ICP. So obviously he's targeting home service businesses in America right now. So I might say like the most slept on niche on X right now is, and then throw a niche that i think is slept on right now almost zero competition and same margins i can kind of mix this up with whatever's accurate for the hook if i launched one tomorrow here's exactly what i could do i could almost use that verbatim for the transition and now i just essentially templatized the hook that he used as an outlier as an agency owner and i know now this is a winning format i don't have to guess and i can apply it to myself and then i can use a different picture if i want to now if i go to another one here 125 llc a 400 a month office 20 minutes away a new phone number that What's the entire cost to add a second pin on Google Maps in the city next to you?
So essentially what he did here is he has three bullet points as the hook and that's the entire cost of this is essentially what he does is he adds a second pin on Google Maps, right? So your calls double your competitor doesn't even know what happened. So this is kind of his unique selling proposition.
What actually brings them in? I've set this up for over a hundred home service businesses. This is the full process start to finish.
So I can take this and completely templatize it for X. So something I could do is I could talk maybe about verified organization. and how you can use the affiliate badge to get all of your team members to create X accounts and do essentially like guerrilla marketing.
So what I could say is $200 Grokbot subscription, a $1 ,000 per month gold check mark and a Claude subscription. That's the entire cost to run a guerrilla marketing campaign on X. And then I could say your calls triple, your competitors don't even know what happened.
I've set this up for over a hundred businesses. This is the full process start to finish. That's just me kind of spitballing there.
And I think this would be really cool because if you haven't seen something like Y, they have tons of affiliates with their badges and you can see all of these people are tweeting actively and they're getting so much reach to the watt page so here's a post i did about four to five months ago that went pretty viral it got over 300 000 views it's essentially saying health stuff i spend money on that's 100 worth it it's a bunch of things i actually spend money on in my health and then i said what would you add so this is actually based off of several other people i've done similar tweets to this but i found one example here at expensive that's not worth it it's got a list of things that are not worth it and then she said what am i missing so i did health stuff i spend money on that's 100 worth it what would you add so ending it with a question stuff i spend money on that's worth it and then the list so this is a really good way again to find viral frameworks you can use this in your niche you can do it in other niches and then apply it back to yourself personalize it make it unique to you and use that viral framework in your content to kind of guarantee some success in your reach and there's a bunch of ways you can come up with ideas i think competitor research is just one of them another thing you can do that they recently added a couple
custom timelines. So I like to have a bunch of custom timelines for different niches. So for one is AI.
So you can always see kind of what's working in the AI niche and apply that to yourself. There's another one for business. There's another one for stocks.
Custom timelines is a great one. Competitor research is another. And then another one is looking at other platforms, things like YouTube titles, Instagram, real hooks, TikToks, Reddit, Pinterest, using those other social medias to contribute ideas for X.
So there's a bunch of ways you can look up ideas, but those are just a few. Another great way that i just went over in my last video is the idea miner where we're taking all of the recordings to sales calls consulting calls client calls coaching calls we're taking those transcripts mining them for ideas and then reverse engineering those calls and objections into content so a really great example i always talked about is we have an atm client who the question he kept getting on the calls was where am i going to actually put these atms so what we did is we turned that idea into a tweet of 50 locations that you can put that atm and that objection was immediately handled in content and the prospects were now showing up to the sales calls more nurtured closer to buying with less objections so once i'm doing this regularly every single week we have plenty of ideas then it's figuring out what i want to post more of so this is where the pesto pillars come in and this is just one framework and it's essentially the five constant pillars of what you're actually going to post on x so you're not always posting the same thing and that you can actually mix it up to build your personal brand so again pesto is our proprietary content framework it's called pesto because it's an acronym for p e s
T -O. That's going to be personal, expertise, social proof, trending, and opinions. So personal is going to be the cornerstone of your personal brand.
It's what separates a brand, a personal brand from an account. And this is essentially your story, your behind the scenes, family moments, family's lessons, announcing when you got engaged, announcing when you had a baby. All of this stuff is going to be that personal side where people are actually going to connect with you because ultimately you are a human brand.
Other humans want to connect with humans. Expertise is going to be showing what you know. That's going to be your how -tos, your listicles, your framework, your mental models, all of the stuff, the IP behind your ideas.
Social proof is going to be how you prove your expertise. Case studies, client wins, testimonials, you name it. Trending is the most underrated pillar.
This is how you're going to get that organic reach, that virality, staying on top of what's going viral in your industry, always being tapped into the culture side. X is a great platform for breaking news. Everything breaks to X first.
The common joke is that Instagram learns what happened on X two or three days late. So I always like to monitor key top in my niche.
And a great example of this is when ChatGPT first came out, you saw all of the ChatGPT threads that were dropping and people were just going nuclear with them. Recently, we just had a viral post on our best ads of all time account. It got over 8 ,000 new followers in a single day, millions of views, over 50 ,000 likes.
It was just showcasing a Levi's ad from the 1970s, but it capitalized on the virality around the Sydney Sweeney drama recently with her ad and it went just nuclear. And that's why it's so important to stay tapped into culture because time Timing is just as important as the idea.
Lastly, this is going to be opinions. This is going to be your hot takes, your thoughts on the industry. It's going to be where you draw a line in the sand and people are either going to agree and they're going to follow you or they're going to disagree.
They're going to engage. So it's a win -win and always use opinion sparingly. Make sure you actually agree with what you're saying.
So I'm going to do a side -by -side of two very similar posts on the same topic. I'm going to show you one that went viral. I'm going to show you one that didn't go viral and you'll be able to see why.
So here's number one. I say something. I say that I stopped reading self -help books and I started reading about it.
My income went up. It's a good tweet. It's true, but it's not a hot take.
I'm not telling you anything. I'm not telling you anything. I'm not giving you a piece of my mind.
I'm not giving you any advice. So it did okay. It got a couple thousand views, 22 likes, nothing to write home about.
Here's the better variation that went viral. My income 10x'd once I stopped reading self -help books and business books and started reading the biographies of high achievers. Obviously formatted it a little bit better.
Study the players, not the commentators. I'm telling you, you need to study the players, not the commentators. That little change of me telling you you to study the players, not the commentators is a really important detail because now it's an opinion.
I'm telling you something. So now if you agree, you're going to follow me. They're going to connect.
And if you disagree, you're going to engage. And that's the primary difference between those two tweets. One of them, it's just something I did.
I'm telling a story. This one is something I did, something that happened, and I'm telling you what to do. So there's a huge difference in opinions versus just kind of talking.
And that's a really key difference. And you can see this tweets from like 2023. We learned a lot, obviously.
And you can do this for every pillar across all your content. If I were you, I'd even recommend taking this templatizing it and using it for yourself and making a tweet with this format and seeing what happens for you so for me if i was going to make this into a template i'd probably say something i did in a result a little bit of a list with bullets and then some hot take advice at the end that'd be my template and you can apply that to any industry so once some of these posts start getting attention and i start getting followers i need to actually turn those into booked calls and leads before we get into it i've already used it a little bit in this video but i did put together a 44 page free x playbook breaks down everything we do for our clients on x how to set this up yourself it goes much more in detail than this video it's linked below if you want to grab that just throw in your email and you'll get it immediately now let me show you what i do when one of these posts actually starts working so i'm going to show you a post here that did pretty well for me got over 100 likes just a megalistical how to build a million dollar personal brand now one key detail here is that i don't cta under every single post what i like to do is use a auto plug feature so they have these on any social media management tool that you want hypefury tweet hunter typefully you name it and what i do is only on the top 30 performers
of my content so it has to get at least 30 likes it will then plug a cta one variation of a cta under that content after it's already gotten 30 likes so what this does is it gives your content a little bit of breathing room to catch the algorithm before it just goes and makes the ask and that way all of my content does not get a cta so that if it's not already popping off it just leaves it and gives it some breathing room to grow if it starts popping off and i know it's going to be an outlier like a 3 out of 10 or more then it plugs the cta and the of content has already caught the algorithm so it's a win -win on the cta and you don't actually dry out your audience by asking under every single post so here's an example this tweet obviously outlined it got over 100 likes and 12 000 views and then it put one variation of my cta doing the 44 page x playbook that i just told you about and it says get access here now another cta i really like if i'm actively trying to drive people to the dms to book calls is i like to do what's called a keyword cta so you can just say dm me keyword brand and let's see if it's a fit and they'll dm me a
keyword and then I have that DM conversation to actually convert them to a booked call and this works particularly well if you have somebody that's in your DMS like a sales rep or a VA if you don't you could just push them directly to a booking page a landing page and opt -in a lead magnet like I do this gets a lot easier once you have people already seeing your content but if I'm starting with zero followers I don't want to wait around for that so I'm going to get into quickly how I'd get my first clients from X if I was starting from scratch so I'm gonna go all the way back to 2022 which was my first ever client from X and I'm going to show you the exact cold DM i used that landed this client it was like 1k a month at the time hey i love the data barrier you're breaking down but you're really closing the gap for the little guy i'm reaching out because i wanted to see if you'd be interested in me getting you 10 000 followers in 10 weeks or i'll keep writing for you for free until you get there this will help you become an online authority in your space if you're not then it's all good no need to respond but if you're at all curious let me know and i'll send it over now this is back in 2022 august 29 2022 i think this script will still work feel free to snag this and use it yourself i don't do cold dms anymore because i already have
followers but this is a really great cold DM script that you can do on X and then you can see here sure I'd love to hear more and then I just dropped the calendar right away he gave me a little bit of objections and then I kind of went into a bunch of objection handling but you can see once you do the cold DM you do have to actually objection handle a little bit and it took me some time like I definitely had to ask him some questions get him talking he gave me a bunch of inspiration which helped a lot this is before AI so none of this was with AI obviously you can use chat GPT or whatever to kind of edit your actual scripts but is all cold hearted.
Feel free to get into take all of this. And one thing that I did when I was doing cold outbound is I held a spreadsheet. I was doing a hundred DMS every single day at 6am for six months straight.
I sent a hundred DMS by prospecting. So I use a tool like Phantom Buster to scrape all of the followers of Alex Ramosi. And then I was DMing all of the followers of Alex Ramosi that had CEO founder in their bio.
So this is old school. You could probably still do this today. And I sent them the same script every single time, personalizing by hand, because this was before AI.
I think with AI, could probably do this in about 10 times the speed i wouldn't go and send a thousand cold dms a day and get your account banned but i would definitely still send 100 a day and then what i would do is i would track the reply rate the positive reply rate the booking rate the show rate and the close rate and you have a really good bdr outbound system there you can do it yourself you can do it with a sales rep if you're a little bit further down the road and then as the account grows more and more of these conversations should start coming from inbound they should start being warm prospects that are actually generated from your content so sending messages to all your qualified new followers all of the people that are engaged with your content plus actually driving inbound leads from the content as well with your ctas and it starts to build a little bit of a compound effect and then everything comes back to the original financial model so how many followers am i generating from my content how many calls am i booking from those followers which gives me this follower to call ratio and then i'll do a bottleneck analysis so if my follower to call ratio is high 100 200 500 i know that i need to split test a couple of different things one i need to drive in followers with higher intent and actually drive
better lead quality. If I know that's not the bottleneck by just looking at my followers anecdotally and looking at their job titles and location, you can even look at your audience demographics. You can actually see your audience demographics in your premium plus analytics, or you need to split test your script and have a better script to get a better reply rate and actually get more calls booked.
If I know that's not the bottleneck, I'm gaining enough followers. My follower to call ratio is good. I'm booking calls, but I'm not actually closing.
My cash collected per book call is low. Maybe it's $500 or $100. I know I need to have a better closing framework.
or I need to have a better show rate, or I need to have a better average order value. And you just use this financial model to get the health score of your personal brand at any given time. And again, I'm just going to reverse engineer this.
So I know that I need to gain 5 ,000 followers in 90 days. So I either need to gain 1 ,600 followers a month and do 5 ,000 followers in 90 days at these exact conversion rates, or I can just drive up something else. Maybe I go a 25 follower to call ratio and I only need 2 ,500 followers, or I only need 1 ,000 followers at 20 calls and I have a 5 ,000.
thousand dollar cash collector per book call you can kind of play with these numbers every niche is going to be different right if you have a hundred thousand dollar ticket price obviously you need much less followers much less calls booked if you have a really low ticket price obviously you're going to need a lot more calls booked and so on and so forth so i call it personal brand math you play with it you make sure it fits to yourself and then you build your content strategy and your dm strategy around those numbers so that's how i'd approach it if you gave me a blank x account and told me i had 90 days to try and get to a hundred thousand dollars when i hit it i don't know but i've seen accounts go from bringing in basically nothing to serious money very, very quickly on X.
If you wanna give this a go yourself, I have linked the X playbook. It's a full A to Z guide in the link below. And if you're starting from zero followers, watch the video I put on the screen.
It shows how I'd go from zero to 10 ,000 followers in 90 days. So thank you so much for watching. I'll see you there.
Cheers.
The Hook
The bait, then the rug-pull.
Marcos Ruiz opens with a claim: one of his agency's clients gained 5,000 followers, booked over 100 sales calls, and made $160,000 in 90 days, so he's confident he could hit $100,000 starting from a completely blank X account. The rest of the video is the exact playbook he'd run to prove it.
