00:00So Entropic just released Opus five and they're claiming that it's actually better than Fable five in a bunch of different categories. So in this video, we're gonna put that claim to test. We're gonna test both model in three different categories.
00:10First, agentic tool use and agentic search. Second, we're gonna test the design skills. We're gonna build three d scroll website animations that have complicated design to see which one does a better job.
00:21And third, we're gonna give it the same prompt to build a complicated in browser three d game and compare all of the results side by side. This is going to be complete raw results. I'm not gonna sugarcoat on handhold anything.
00:33You're gonna see exactly what both of these models are capable of and actually if Opus five is better than Fable five. Alright. Let's jump right in.
00:41So just quickly, both of these models are now available inside your regular subscription plan. So I'm using the Cloud desktop app as you can see right here. Fable five and Opus five are both available.
00:50But you can use it inside cloud.ai in the browser as well. So the first test we're gonna run is the agentic tool use and web search and agentic search.
00:59Now I'm gonna test this using my AI second brain. So for those of you who are not familiar, AI second brain is basically, uh, a visual representation of all your file folders.
01:08If you've used Obsidian before, it's kinda similar to that. So as you can see, this is like three d visualization. I mean, it's heavily reliant on Fable five right now.
01:17In the right hand side, can see this is Jarvis, my personal AI assistant who also runs on Fable five. So we're gonna test actually a couple of different things. First, we're gonna see if this has the ability to pull up information from within my files, within folders and everything else.
01:31And then second, we're gonna give it a very complicated task of actually calling a third party website and use it all the tools at its disposal to complete the task.
01:41Alright. So let's go ahead and start with Opus five first and then we're gonna switch to Fable five because obviously Opus five is the new model. So let me go ahead and activate Jarvis here.

02:41So it's able to actually use that aspect. Alright. So now let's go ahead and ask it something to search for us on the internet.

03:01The verdict from the research is a bit inconvenient for the show off in all of us, sir. Pages that altered the rate and duration of scrolling while also requiring the user to read text exhibited the most severe usability issues because users had to balance reading animated text with the scrolling interaction needed to keep moving, so full scroll hijacking tends to backfire.
03:21The kind of middle ground is scroll effects combined with rich visuals and progressive disclosure,
03:26which can improve comprehension and engagement, And parallax is generally cited as one acceptable use. In short, trigger animations on native Okay. Scrolls Thanks, Jarvis.
03:36Wheel behaving normally. So there you go. As you can see, it actually did a really good job.
03:39Right? It was able to go to the Internet. It used a tool to search online and grab this information.
03:45Alright. So now let's go ahead and give it a more complicated task. This time I'm gonna ask it to use a third party website.
03:50So it has a bunch of tools at its disposal where it's capable of reaching out, uh, to retail AI for instance. I'm gonna ask it to actually call a restaurant and book a reservation for me. This is a very complicated task because it needs to use multiple tool at its disposal, specifically, it needs to reach out to Retail AI which is a voice AI platform and actually make the call.
04:09So, this is probably the hardest task when it comes to, you know, tool usage or agentic tool usage. So let's go ahead and see what it does.
04:16Jarvis, can you go ahead and make a reservation for me for tonight at 7PM at a restaurant for three people? Their phone number is (510) 709-6913.
04:34A table for three tonight at 7PM booked under your name. The establishment shall remain a delightful mystery until I dial. Shall I ring them, sir?
04:57So it's able to actually dial a number, which is incredible. I just hung up.
05:01I didn't wanna, uh, continue, but it's able to use actually a third party The call cut off mid sentence. Okay.
05:07Perfect. See? It's able to actually use a, uh, third party tool, make the call, and actually report back to me.
05:14Again, this is a very complicated task, but as you can see, Opus five is really good at doing this. So definitely passes that test because the smaller models actually, uh, like Haiku for instance, I tested a bunch of time, it definitely struggled a little bit. So it definitely passes the test.
05:30So now let's go ahead and do the same thing with Fable five. Jarvis, go ahead and switch your brain to Fable five please.
06:21The gold standard everyone points to is Apple, sir. Their product pages, especially for iPhone and MacBook launches, feature cinematic scroll based animations that reveal products with the kind of polish you'd expect from a Pixar film.
06:38So, again, Fable five is definitely good at doing this, so very easy. Right?
06:44So as you can see, it's able to do the same exact thing. So now let's go ahead and also test the, uh, final one, the ability to, uh, use third parties tools and third party websites to execute a task.
06:56So I'm gonna go ahead and so I'm gonna go ahead and tell do the same thing. So I'm gonna go ahead and do the same thing here.
07:05Hey, Jarvis. Can you go ahead and, uh, make a reservation tonight for three people at 7PM, uh, at this restaurant?
07:42So it's able to make the same call. So let me just hang up on him. Alright.
07:46Perfect. So it looks like they both do the same exact thing, and they are really good at, um, agentic tool use and honestly this is a huge news because obviously, Fable five is much more expensive and the fact that it's actually better just like it shows agentic search, agentic tool use, agent recording, It looks like it's almost the same if not better than Fable five.
08:08So it's definitely passing that particular test. Alright.
08:11So the second test is going to be testing the design elements. Right? So Fable five is absolutely incredible at designing especially websites or any other design.
08:22So let's go ahead and see if Opus is also similar or even maybe better than that. So in this particular test, we're going to actually have it build the same exact website with one prompt so that we see both of their results. So the way I'm gonna do this, I'm actually going to give, uh, obviously run this inside my clot code.
08:40We're gonna give this clot code access to an MCP. I'm gonna use the Higgs field MCP so that way it can, uh, utilize AI models, video AI models and image models like Cdance two point o, Nano Banana Pro and GPT two image because obviously, uh, ClotCode cannot generate image by itself so therefore we need to give it access to an MCP that's able to utilize all these models.
09:05And what I'm gonna do is give this access to Hicksfield. I've been using Hicksfield for a while now. I did a bunch of different videos, uh, previously on Fable five and Opus 4.8.
09:14So it just makes sense to kinda use the same exact MCP. So I'll put the link in description. You guys can go ahead and create an account for Hicksfield if you don't have an account yet.
09:22Uh, they do, I think, offer you free, uh, trial so take advantage of that. Um, I'm gonna use the MCP for Claude here. So, uh, I'm gonna put the link in the description.
09:31You can click on it. It should bring you right here. All you have to do is to connect, uh, Claude MCP inside your Claude code is come here, just copy this right here.
09:39Go back to your, uh, Claude here and go click on the plus button here, connectors. As you can see mine's already installed but the way to install this, you're gonna go to manage connectors, you're gonna click on add, you're gonna add custom connector, you will name this, right, HEX field or something and then you're just gonna paste this.
09:58That's all you need to do. And you're gonna click on add. Mine's not gonna add it because it's a server with this URL already exists so therefore it's not gonna, uh, you know, add it again.
10:07But for you after you take this step, do this step, it's gonna basically bring you to this page where it says, uh, connect. You're gonna click on connect.

13:33So let's go ahead and now scroll. So as I'm scrolling, you can see car zooms in. Very cool.
13:38The light turns on, shows the different numbers and now, wow. Look at that.
13:43That's kinda cool that the tire starts spinning. Very nice. Damn, that looks good.

14:41To be honest, I kinda prefer the Opus five compared to Fable five when it comes to the design aspect of it. But anyways, you could be the judge of that.
14:50Alright. So for the third test, we're going to have it build a three d game inside our browser. We're gonna give the same exact prompt to both models and we'll compel compare the results side by side.
15:00So let me go ahead and paste the model. So this time, this one is going to be Opus five. So let me go ahead and paste the model.
15:05You So go and let me enter this. Uh, so as you can see, I said, build a complete playable three d game called Neon Descent, a single self contained HTML file three JS from a CDN, no build step. 15:22Right? So you fall, dodge, you shoot, you go deeper, depth is the score. So as you can see, it's a pretty complicated prompt with all of the details for the game itself.
15:31So let's go ahead and give this a few minutes to finish this. This is gonna take a while. So because again, it's a pretty complicated build.
15:37So let's go ahead and see the results and then afterwards, we're gonna give the same exact prompt to Fable five. Alright. So it took a good thirty eight minutes, but it was able to build the whole thing.
15:46So it's called Neon Descent. So let's go ahead and open this up. Alright.
15:49So there you go. So it says Neon Descent, dive, dodge, destroy. So it's WASD, these are the lateral thrusters, mouse, aim, steer, descent, left click, pulse cannon, right click, homing missile, limited.

18:06It give us exactly all the things we asked. Right? We had a player hover drone.
18:11We had enemies, three enemy types with genuinely different behaviors, swarmers that use, uh, void flocks, uh, Tourette's fixed walls. That's exactly what that was that were shooting at me.
18:21Right? So it looks like it did a really good job of that. So now let's go ahead and give the same exact prompt to Fable five to see what that builds.
18:28Okay. So this time I'm gonna switch to Fable five here, keep it at high and paste the same. I'm gonna press enter.

18:55So as you can see, this is even just the front pages. The front design is a little different. So this one was the one that we just played with opus opus five and this is fable five.
19:05Obviously, opus five has this kind of like pink and neon and this one looks as all neon. So let's go ahead and test this out. By the way, same thing.
19:13So it looks like the, uh, controls are WASD on my computer, mouse aim, LMB pulse cannon, right, RMB homing missiles, alright, good.

20:35So this is the one with Opus five and with Fable five, like I said, the controls are a lot better but I don't like this aircraft look.
20:45It looks very like plain, you know. But overall, like, it looks like it's working very well. They both work really well.
20:52Just one like I said, just one bad thing is the controls there. The controls for Fable five look like it's a lot better for sure. You have the ability to really do proper movements.
21:05But the look and feel overall, I think I like the look and feel of, uh, Opus five and especially the fact that it created, like, a nice little aircraft. But overall, both of them do a really good job. Honestly, like, for this one, they're almost the same.
21:18Like I said, Fable five does have a better control that based on this game that it created, but overall, they both did a really good job. Yeah. So overall, honestly, it looks like Clot Opus five is gonna be the better model moving moving forward especially when it comes to the cost aspect of it.
21:33Right? Because Fable five is obviously extremely expensive and based on these, uh, different parameters, it looks like Opus five is even better than Fable five on a lot of these things that normal people like us are gonna be using it anyway.
21:47So it just makes sense to switch to OPUS five because you have the ability to perform, uh, if not same better in certain, uh, things like knowledge work, problem solving, agent in terminal coding, agentic research. Right?
22:00So for for half the cost. So it just makes sense to moving forward instead of using Fable five, you use Opus five because from a design perspective, agentic tool use, agentic search and complicated design and, uh, functionality, it looks like it's doing, uh, a really good job.
22:18And like I said, when it comes to the cost aspect, it just it's a no brainer to switch to, uh, OPUS five moving forward. I think I will probably do the same thing moving forward.
