TL;DR
The full version, fast.
Brendan Jowett hands Claude Opus 5.5 a totally unedited 21-minute talking-head recording through the ChatCut MCP plugin, a browser-based AI editing timeline wired into Claude Code. One prompt tells Claude to cut every retake and silence and add motion graphics styled after his recent videos. Claude returns a fully cut, graphics-loaded edit with no manual review needed, a step that previously required a separate third-party tool. He then refines it conversationally: removing captions, lowering music, and having Claude source and place two b-roll clips at exact timestamps, plus edits small details directly in ChatCut's timeline without a full re-render. The lesson: specific, single-goal prompts and real style references beat long instruction lists, and reviewing AI edits in a live timeline makes iteration fast.

Atomic Insights
Lines worth screenshotting.
Claude Opus 5.5 paired with the ChatCut MCP can cut raw talking-head footage, add motion graphics, and place b-roll entirely from plain-English prompts.
A single edit prompt removed every retake and silence from a raw 21-minute recording with no manual transcript review, a step that previously required a separate third-party tool.
Feeding an AI editor your own channel's recent videos as a style reference is what gets its cuts and graphics to match your established pacing instead of a generic look.
A browser-based editing timeline lets you make small manual tweaks, color, text, timing, without triggering a full re-render, something a chat-only workflow can't do.
Stuffing more instructions into an AI agent's system prompt makes it perform worse; a single, clear goal outperforms an exhaustive rulebook.
Giving an AI editor two reference stock clips and exact timestamps was enough for it to automatically trim each clip and insert it at the matching line of dialogue.
Cloud-based rendering lets the export run at up to 4K60 without taxing the creator's own computer.
Reviewing an AI edit in a live timeline, not only through chat, is what makes iterative requests like lowering music or removing captions fast instead of a one-shot gamble.
The AI-cut video started exactly on the first real line of the script, with no leftover pause or throat-clear at the top, matching the bar a human editor would hold.
An agent can surface screenshots of its in-progress editing decisions inside the chat itself, letting the creator sanity-check direction before the job finishes.
Takeaway
What an AI editing agent can and can't do for you yet
WHAT TO LEARN
A single plain-English prompt can get an AI agent to cut retakes, build motion graphics, and place b-roll, but a result worth publishing still depends on giving it real style references and reviewing its work in a live timeline.
01What's new
An AI agent can now handle the full post-production pipeline, cutting, graphics, and b-roll, from a single natural-language prompt instead of a frame-by-frame manual edit.
Judge a claim like 'AI can fully edit your video' by watching it run on a genuinely raw, unedited file with real mistakes left in, not a cherry-picked clip.
02The raw video file
A fair test of an AI editor starts from completely unedited footage, pauses, retakes, and teleprompter adjustments included, so it has nothing to work with except what a human editor would also start from.
03Downloading Claude Code
Using Claude for a task like video editing doesn't require any coding background; a paid Claude Pro plan is what unlocks Claude Code, not technical skill.
04ChatCut MCP overview
A browser-based editing timeline that an AI agent can write to turns one-shot chat edits into something reviewable and independently adjustable, closer to a real editing tool than raw chat output.
Text-based editing, where you edit a transcript instead of scrubbing a timeline, is often the fastest way to find and fix one specific line.
05Installing ChatCut in Claude
Connecting an MCP plugin to an agent is usually a copy-paste of a short install prompt, not a technical integration step.
06Confirming setup
Setting an agent's effort level higher before a complex multi-step job, like a full video edit, is worth doing deliberately rather than leaving it on default.
07ChatCut timeline in the browser
Viewing a connected tool's live state inside the same window as your agent chat removes the need to tab back and forth to confirm what changed.
08Prompting Claude
Pointing an editing agent at your own best-performing videos as a style reference is what gets its output to match your established pacing and graphics, not a generic look.
A single detailed prompt, covering cuts, silences, and the kind of motion graphics wanted, was enough to kick off the entire first-pass edit with no follow-up needed.
09Edit results
An agent can surface its in-progress work, screenshots, decisions, inside the chat itself, so you can sanity-check direction before the job finishes rather than only after.
10Graphics quality
AI-generated motion graphics can vary style deliberately within one video, boxed picture-in-picture, full-screen text cards, corner captions, rather than repeating one template throughout.
Checking an AI edit's cut-to-cut pacing by playing the actual footage back, not just skimming the timeline, is how you catch whether zooms and emphasis actually land.
11Cutting accuracy and retake removal
Removing every retake and dead pause from a raw recording, a step that used to require manually re-reading a transcript in a separate tool, can now run as part of the same AI edit with no extra manual pass.
A clean AI cut starts exactly on the first real line of the script, with no leftover pause or throat-clear at the top, the same bar a human editor would hold the opening to.
12Manual edits in the timeline
Being able to click directly into a graphic to change its color or text without re-rendering the whole video saves the back-and-forth of asking an agent to redo a small detail.
13Removing captions and lowering music
Revision requests to an AI editor work best as short, specific asks, remove captions throughout, lower the music bed, rather than a long list of changes at once.
14Adding b-roll clips
Asking an agent to propose its own b-roll ideas first, before you go source footage, narrows what you need to find to clips that already have a planned placement.
Giving an agent the exact timestamp and which idea a clip matches is what lets it insert and trim b-roll correctly, rather than leaving placement to guesswork.
15B-roll results
An AI editor can automatically trim a longer stock clip down to just the seconds needed and sync it to the right line of dialogue, not just drop the whole clip in.
16Exporting
Rendering in the cloud rather than locally is what makes exporting at up to 4K60 fast regardless of how powerful the creator's own machine is.

AI can now take one raw video file and turn it into something that you can actually publish with all of the cuts, the titling, the motion graphics and even the b -roll as well. So Anthropic just released Claude Opus 5 .5, their newest and most powerful model and today I'm putting that to the test on a completely raw video of mine which is full of silences, mistakes and retakes.
Opus is going to be doing all of the editing and we're also going to be using the chat cut MCP to give it a real editing timeline to work on. All I'm doing is telling it what I want in plain english each step is going to be harder than last starting with the cutting where it has to find the exact moment that i start talking and throw out all of the retakes then it's going to be doing all of the titling and motion graphics before finishing with the hardest part which is going to be finding b -roll and dropping it in the right places of the video where i'm talking about that thing by the end you'll know exactly how much of your editing this model can take off your hands and you'll have the whole setup running yourself even if you've never used claude before so let's get into it get started this is the video that i'm going to be editing so this is a completely raw cut i can click through this and you can see that there are points where i'm talking there are points where i'm pausing and i'm not actually speaking because this is just a completely raw video file you will see that i make mistakes during this video that's playing you can see that i'm actually moving around and updating the teleprompter that i have this is a completely raw video and obviously there are no motion graphics throughout this entire video as well so claude has to do everything here in terms of just cutting it all up adding in all of the motion graphics making sure the script actually
makes sense and doing everything so i don't have to manually touch a thing so if you also wanted to follow along of course you would need some sort of a raw file to edit with but the first thing that we are going to be doing is downloading claude code now don't worry the name can be a bit overwhelming with claude code but you don't have to do any coding or anything technical yourself this is just simply the best way to get claude to do coding for us because this video editing is going to be needing code in the background for all of our motion graphics and doing all of the cutting so just come to claude .com download and if you've got windows download for windows mac os you can download for mac os of course and you will need a claude account in order to run this and you will need to upgrade to the claude pro account in order to get access to claude code once you've got the claude desktop app downloaded it should look something similar to this once you've opened it and i'll come back to setting this up in just a second but the last thing that we will need is the chat cut mcp so whilst we can provide all of our files to claude to begin the editing process lord itself is of course not a video editing tool so if we ever wanted to make small changes or update things or review it in an actual timeline something
very similar to what you see right here this tool called chat cart is essentially an mcp server that we can plug into our cloud session you can see here use it in your agent so essentially it's kind of like an ai native video editing timeline for claude so this will make it so we can see all of the edits and all of the layers and music and everything in motion graphics all on a timeline as we can see in this demonstration that's being played here and one thing that i think that this is personally really big for especially for me is just going to be looking at the transcript of the video this mcp also gives us access to do text -based editing so we can see on the left here we can see we've got the entire transcript and we can actually do some editing ourselves manually if ever needed there's a bunch of other really important features for good video editing included in this as well such as ai music generation as well in which is completely included and ensures that it is completely royalty free music which is also really important so the combination of all these things just makes our editing way way better and you'll see that in the results that i showcase later in the video but getting this set up is really really easy all we need to do is click on use it in your agent you'll see it now gives us the prompt that we can give to our agent and so if i switch over
to claude i can then take this i can copy this provide it into our claude code desktop app in which i'll do in just a second and it will fully install this entire system for us now i do have my own link for chatcut down below in the description and pinned at the top of the comments down below if you could use my link that would be great as it does really just help to support the channel okay so once you are on chatcut once again just click on use it in your agent click on claude and we're just going to copy this message i'm now going to come back to my claude desktop app and we're going to create a new folder so at the bottom you'll see that we have the sort of prompt box and then you're this you will see this kind of folder icon all that you need to do is just click into this folder icon it's going to open up your folder directory and you can just create a brand new folder specifically for your video editing in my case i've just named the folder video edit demo and essentially all of the work that we're going to be doing all of the work that claude is going to be doing creating all of the edits and doing anything else it is going to put itself all into that folder so it is all manageable in one place now that that is set up the next thing that we just want to confirm is the model that we're currently using in the bottom right we can click on our model selector you see the opus sign
And you can see that I am selected on Opus 5 .5. So make sure that you are selected to Opus 5 .5, the brand new model. And as for my effort level, I am going to be running this on the extra effort level.
So now very simply, all that we need to do is just paste in what we copied earlier from the Chatcut website. And then very simply, I'm just going to send this through and it is going to go through the process of installing the Chatcut plugin directly into Cloud Code itself. Okay, so that is now complete.
We can see that Chatcut is installed and signed in. So it most likely will have prompted you into your browser to... log into your chatcut account you will have to sign up for one and once you've logged into that it will authenticate with your plugin and now we've got the full -on authenticated plugin inside of our claude session so we can now start working from here but we can also jump over to chatcut where we can see the actual video editing timeline this is within the browser and once we start working with claude through the desktop app and it starts to edit our video it will then populate all of that editing and all of the work that it's done into the browser where we can fully view it all and just for a quick note if you want an even easier way to view the chat cut timeline editor what you can do is just take that browser url and you can paste it into claude or tell claude to open the url and then on the right side claude will open up its own sort of browser
And you're going to be able to view the entire ChatGuard system on the right side. So we can see the entire timeline. This is obviously fully interactable.
It's just a browser inside of Claude. And we can see the entire video itself as well. And then on the left side, of course, we can then talk to Claude and any changes that we obviously send through are going to get updated right away on the right side.
So it's a very easy way to see these changes without having to go back and forth outside of the Claude Desselbap. Back to Chrome, for example, this is a very easy way to do it. So for this video, I didn't do it in this way, but I would probably recommend it if you are going to be doing the same thing to just do it this way because it does just seem a little bit easier in terms of the viewing.
And if you did want to double check that the plugin has properly installed and it's not just saying that, we can go down to the bottom left, click on our name. And then in this bottom left section, my face might be in the way, but just above me, you will see the settings button. Inside of this area, we can then scroll down and all the way at the bottom, you will see plugins.
We can click into this. And in this area, we can now see chat cut. is added in as an official plugin so that is literally all that we need to do to get started in this video editing process essentially at this stage i'm now going to tell claude that i want to edit a video i'm going to provide it with that raw cut video and i'm going to tell it exactly what i want so i want it to cut it all up remove all of the retakes remove all of the silences and then start to add in some motion graphics that it thinks are relevant for that as well hey claude i've got a youtube video that i would like you to edit i've got the complete raw file that i need you to fully edit for me so it's just a raw file i need you to remove all of the repeats that I am speaking.
I need you to remove all of the silences when I'm not speaking throughout this video. I also need you to do motion graphics. So adding in relevant graphics where it can help enhance exactly what I'm talking about, making it very nice and stylized and modern.
Feel free to look at some of my recent high performing YouTube videos and look at their intros to see how they've been edited in terms of the styling and the pacing and the overall look and graphics of what we've currently been doing. Now, this video doesn't require just an intro. this entire video needs to be fully edited with graphics obviously we don't have to do graphics throughout the entire video but just where they are going to be relevant to help emphasize points and just make the overall video seem a bit faster than it is and of course that the entire video actually makes sense okay so i've just done a quick prompt over voice and now to give it access to the actual raw video file the way that i like to do it is just by getting that video file which is on my computer copying the sort of directory path of that video file and then just pasting that into this cloud chat so you can see here i've got it in onedrive top and then I've got the actual name of the mp4 file so Claude is smart enough to just go on my computer and find that file and start using it but if you did want to skip this step what you could also do is just take this raw video file and add it into the folder that we created specifically for this Claude project and then you could just tell it to use the uploaded video or something like that and here is the directory for the completely raw video for you to use and I also told it to take some reference from some recent videos of mine so I am going to provide it with my YouTube channel to take some reference from of course if you haven't got any YouTube videos at all at the moment what you could
do is provide some examples of other channels that you do like or you could even just upload screenshots of motion graphics that you like or videos of motion graphics you could upload into this really any amount of references is going to help to fine -tune it and make it better and better and closer to what you're looking for but this should be good for my first run at this obviously there is going to be work that we do after it once we review it and update things and change things but this should give us a pretty good result right off the bat okay so i have now sent it off and that's all we need to do we can sit back relax and hopefully we get a good edited video back okay so claude telling us that this edit is now complete and it has gone through and listed a bunch of the stuff that it's done as well and of course as this has been editing you will be able to view essentially all the edits that it's doing live as it's really happening as here are some of the screenshots that claude was taking and adding into the chat so as it was thinking and editing i could essentially view the work it was doing and if i had any inputs i could essentially make some suggestions as to what was happening and if i jump over to our chat cut timeline editor now you can see we've got the video and you
can see all the edits and the music and all the graphics and all the work that is done in the timeline editor here and as I slowly scroll through the entire sort of timeline of the video you can see the graphics that have been added in here and the quality of the graphics and you can just see the cutting and the zooming in across the entire edit as well is really really good and on brand with some of the other videos that I've obviously published recently so it has done a good job at getting some references.
Obviously I'll play the start of the video so you can actually see exactly how well done the cuts are and the edits are but just to sort of gloss over the quality of the edits that you can see here. Really, really good and across many different styles.
We've of course got this style where I'm sort of on the right side, where it's put me in a box. And then we have all of these sort of graphics on the left. And then there's this type of graphic, which is sort of a full screen graphic where it's got all the text and the background.
And then we've got this type of graphic where it's actually added it onto the video of me talking itself without a background where it is sort of just in the corner. And then in some cases, it's actually added in captions as well. You can see at the bottom here, I probably would prefer not to use captions very easily.
I can tell Claude to just remove. them in the intro i think it's fine but throughout the video i would probably remove any sort of captions added for emphasis probably not needed at least from my editing perspective otherwise i'm going to play the intro so we can see how well it's been cut to see if the cuts are actually all done properly and if the graphics are suitable for kind of an intro shot do you like it or not here is the truth about ai voice agents whilst everyone else is hyping them up we've actually sold them for over 12 000 each and have run our voice ai agency for two plus years building for many different industries.
I've seen exactly what works, what breaks, and what no one warns you about until it's too late. So for this video, I'm walking you through five hard -earned lessons from real -world deployments, the stuff you just won't hear from the basic tutorial videos. Number one, do you have to disclose that it's an AI on the call or can you let it pass as human?
Number two, why AI cold calling is banned and how to approach outbound without getting flagged. For number three, why your agents are probably too complex and how to simplify them without killing the functionality. Number four, why fallback systems are really critical and how to actually build them right.
and number five why these tools do not replace humans and what happens when you try to make them so if you're building or selling voice agents this could save you from legal issues annoyed clients okay so there we go that was just the intro shot that was about a minute long and that does hopefully give you a good idea it's a level of quality of graphics that this ai can now do and its ability to really understand the script that i've given it as well to know exactly when to do the zoom in shots and then zoom back out as well to give it some extra emphasis now obviously i'm not going to play the entire 10 minute video is that will be quite a bit boring.
But essentially, the level of graphics and editing that you saw in the first minute is essentially what it's done throughout this entire video. So because this is a complete talking head, and so we have all of these graphics and edits happening throughout the entire 10 minutes. And the main thing is I do just want to highlight its ability to actually cut up this transcript and do it flawlessly so that we don't have any sort of mess ups and retakes.
I've used a lot of these other tools before in one of my previous videos where I used AI to do video editing, I did have to use a third party tool in order to manually review my entire transcript and remove a lot of the elements in where I was doing mistakes and retakes and that was a process I still had to do manually but now with this exact setup where we're using this brand new incredibly powerful Opus 5 .5 model in combination with this incredibly powerful plugin where we get this entire timeline editor to review it essentially I haven't had to do anything when it comes to removing out mistakes or retakes it has just done it flawlessly and even the start of the video as well it starts exactly where the script starts from it doesn't have any pausing or weird spacing as well if I hit the play button whether you like it or not here is the truth about AI voice agents.
You'll see that it just starts exactly where the video should start from. There's no random pauses or waiting at the start, which is an issue that in some of my previous video editing with AI processes, that was some issues that I'd have. And it really does seem to be solved at this point.
Something that I forgot to mention is the ability to also make a lot of edits ourselves manually in this timeline. So it isn't just a timeline for viewing the video, of course, but we have the ability to manually update anything very quickly. So obviously when we speak to Claude, we have to send it a big message and wait for it to come back to us to update.
But because we have this timeline editor, it is far easier to make changes, small changes as well. So let's say we wanted to hover over any of these elements on the edit itself. I could hover over this.
I can now hover over the element. You can see that they are being selected as I'm hovering over them. So if I click into this, we now have some options to actually edit what we're looking at.
So I can click into the color, click into the color that's being used here. And you can see that I can actually fully change the entire color that's being used in this edit. They've even got an AI edit section.
So we can actually click into this and use the AI chat. that's built into chat cut to quickly make changes and updates specifically to the section that we're looking at as opposed to the entire video and of course we can even change the text so if something is not written the way that you'd like it to you could just click into text and you can see all the text comes back right here so i can just update this to say something else i can say ai decided or whatever i can just type in random stuff and you can see that that updates itself into the graphic and on the screen which is something that you just wouldn't get if you were doing it natively in claude because you would have to then re -render the entire video to make a small change to the text which is obviously not very efficient okay next up i'll actually go through how we can make updates to the video itself so as i mentioned earlier i don't really like the captions i probably wouldn't use captions in my typical video so i'm going to go back to claude i'm going to tell it to just remove these captions from the editing and we should see they get updated in our timeline pretty quickly hey claude can you remove the captions that you've added into the editing i don't typically use captions in my edits so if you just remove that from the intro and just throughout the whole video we don't really want captions being added into the editing itself and then one other thing
i thought i'd want to change is that the music during my entire video is probably a little bit too loud i like the music being loud at the intro i think that's fine throughout the whole video it stays at the same volume i would probably just tell it to make it so it's a bit quieter throughout the whole video and just to give you an example i'll just play this quick clip flex email address or specific booking code over the phone line is always difficult speech to text models still struggle with distinct spelling By pivoting to SMS, you are just simplifying the...
Okay, you can see that hopefully you could hear the music was a little bit louder than I would like. So I'm going to come back to Claude. If we could just lower the volume for the actual...
video itself that would be better so i can understand myself a bit easier otherwise there isn't really a whole much else that i would probably change here obviously it's taken inspiration from my previous videos so i really like the styling of it and from watching it all of the cutting is honestly done perfectly between everything that i'm saying and the zooming in and out of what i'm saying to give it more emphasis is also perfect as you saw from the intro in that example there it's done a really good job at all of those areas so i'll send this off and we should get back a much better version now whilst those changes are being made if you could just quickly check that you are subscribed to the channel by scrolling down below and hitting the subscribe button.
I recently discovered that 90 % of you watching right now are not subscribed to the channel at all. So if you could subscribe, that would be amazing and make sure to keep watching as in just a second, I'm going to showcase the full result from these changes. And I'm also going to showcase exactly how we can get B roll added into our editing as well.
So we're going to be able to provide a secondary clip and we're going to see how smart the AI is at taking that clip and inserting it into the video at the right point that it thinks it could be added into. So make sure to keep watching as we're going to go through that as well. Okay.
So supposedly those edits are now done. We can see the both. changes are in the project, captions removed and music lowered as well.
So making changes is as easy as that. Honestly, it didn't take long at all for this to come back as well. And so if you ever need to make changes, just come back to the Claude agent, tell it to update something.
It's going to be more than capable of doing all of that. Okay. So the edit is back.
I'm going to play a clip of the sort of middle of the video so we can see if the music is too loud or not. All right. For number two, we have AI cold calling.
This is pretty much banned in the US. There is specific legislation now from the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, which means that we are not allowed. Okay, so there we go.
The music does seem to have lowered, which is good. I can understand myself a little bit better now. And if I jump over to the same area where we had those captions, you'll see that there are no captions.
And as I scroll through the entire timeline, there are no captions throughout this entire video. As I just quickly scroll through the whole video, you will see that there are just no captions anymore, which is great. That has very easily removed those from the video, which is perfect.
And then at the intro part as well, hasn't got the captions at the bottom either, which is perfect. And now that is all good and changed. okay so now i'm going to jump into adding b -roll into the video as well so essentially the secondary clips that we can add in such as sort of third -party videos and things like that and so what i'll first do is kind of just ask claude for any recommendations of videos and b -roll that we could add into the video then i can source that and provide a back to then add into the video hey claude i was thinking of adding in two different b -roll clips uh just throughout the video if you could just come up with some ideas as to sort of um you know sort of in -person b -roll clips that i could maybe add into this video come up with two different ideas for what we could add as clips into this entire edit and then I'll try and source those videos and then we can add them in.
Okay, Claude has come back and told us that it has two ideas of a phone call clip and one where I'm building the agent and it's found a few different areas where we could potentially place the phone call clip and place the building the agent clip as well. So I'm going to quickly go and source some videos for this, come back, provide it to it and we'll see if we can get them inserted in these areas.
But you can see that this is pretty well connected into the editing timer itself. Obviously, it's been able to find the line of the video and the time at which that line is being set as well. So it should have...
No issues being able to add these into these areas, obviously. Okay, so I've just sourced two different clips from the internet that I thought we could use. These two clips have been added in here, one for the phone call and one for the person working at the computer.
Hey, Claude, I've just added in two new clips into our folder. So for the phone call one, can we place that at the three minute 44 second line, the second recommendation that you gave me? And then if we could do for the second idea, building the agent, if we could place it at the six minute 25 one, where you said the more instructions we stuff in, we could place the sort of...
of the guy at the computer for that one as well. That would be good. Okay, so I have those clips and I've told it exactly where I want them.
I'm going to send that through and we should be good to go. Now I did manually source those stock clips, but you could obviously use some video generation models, CDance, a lot of them out there now. Could also use just to generate the video itself, the stock footage itself, rather than just finding something on the internet.
So that is also an option. Okay, so our B -roll clip has been added in. It's telling us that it's all done.
And so I'll play the first B -roll clip so you can see it in action. Must make sure that we are calling the direct landline. for the business and not a personal call to someone at the business but nowadays most people just use their mobile numbers for everything so it's becoming increasingly difficult to make these calls even with the intention of a business call calling a mobile number with ai okay there we go that was the first clip perfectly inserted itself and i was able to sort of cut that video up as well so that was about a 16 second clip you can see that it did obviously cut it up to be able to insert itself into that little bit of the snippet of what i was saying for that potential part and now let's take a look at the other clip and also from a prompting perspective the more instructions that we are stuffing into the system prompt the dumber the agent is going to get an agent with one clear goal okay and there we go very simple was able to take the clip it was able to cut up a part of that clip and add it into this now usually for my youtube videos i don't actually add in b -roll and clips like that so not exactly something that i would use in this case but you can imagine for a lot of video editing needs adding in b -roll is incredibly important and i think it is pretty clear now that these models are more than intelligent enough to be able to be able to use image processing to understand exactly what's happening in the video itself to better properly place it and cut it up and edit it so that it is a actually watchable video
lastly i also just wanted to quickly cover the rendering element of this as well so this video at the moment is obviously just inside of the editor but if we wanted to export this so we can properly upload it in the full resolution what we can do is go to the top right corner click on export and you'll see we have the list of export settings here so we can bump this up all the way to a 4k resolution at a 60 fps frame rate but we could also move that down to 1080p 60 or 1080p 30 whatever you want it's more than capable of outputting all of these so what we need to do is just hit export and because we are using chat cut in the web essentially we're using their cloud computers to do the export for us so it is a lot quicker than doing it manually on your computer all right well there we have it once again if you did want to sign up for chat cut i'll have my link down below in the description and pinned at the top of the comments down below and if you want to see how we can use the new opus 5 .5 model at creating websites check out this video right here where i do a full showcase on a bunch of websites that i created with this brand new model
The Hook
The bait, then the rug-pull.
Brendan Jowett opens by claiming Claude Opus 5.5 can now fully edit a raw video, cuts, titling, motion graphics, and b-roll, from plain English alone, then spends the next twenty minutes proving it on a completely unedited recording of himself.

The Claude Code plus ChatCut editing workflow
Download and install the Claude desktop app (requires Claude Pro for Claude Code)
Create a dedicated project folder, then install the ChatCut MCP plugin via its copy-paste install prompt
Select the Opus 5.5 model at extra effort
Give one plain-English prompt covering cuts, silences, and the style of motion graphics wanted, with channel videos as reference
Review the result in ChatCut's browser timeline and make manual tweaks or send Claude follow-up revision requests
Ask Claude for b-roll ideas, source matching clips, then give it exact timestamps to place them
Export at up to 4K60 through ChatCut's cloud renderer
The repeatable sequence Brendan uses to go from one raw file to a graphics-and-b-roll-finished edit without touching a traditional timeline.
Steal forany raw talking-head recording that needs a first-pass edit before manual polish
