Big Idea

The argument in one line.

A YouTube video succeeds or fails almost entirely on whether its underlying idea is already proven to have an audience, and Claude Code's real value is compressing the slide-making, idea-research, and scripting work around that idea, not making the editing more advanced.

Who This Is For

Read if. Skip if.

READ IF YOU ARE…
  • A YouTube creator or aspiring creator with no editing background who wants a simple, repeatable system for turning talking-head footage into finished videos.
  • Someone who has been posting consistently without growing and suspects the problem is topic selection, not production quality.
  • A non-technical person curious about using Claude Code for something other than writing software, like slide generation or script drafting.
  • A creator willing to try AI-assisted research to find video ideas instead of guessing at what an audience wants.
SKIP IF…
  • You already have a working idea-research process and editing pipeline; this covers the beginner-level setup, not advanced optimization.
  • You want a deep technical walkthrough of Claude Code's coding abilities; this uses it narrowly for slides, scripting, and idea search.
  • You want a video free of sales pitches; a large share of the runtime promotes the creator's free training and paid 1:1 coaching.
TL;DR

The full version, fast.

Shane Hummus argues that production quality is not what determines whether a YouTube video works, and that Claude Code's real value is speeding up everything around a video rather than making the editing fancier. He installs the Claude desktop app, connects it to one dedicated project folder, and uses a 'one slide per point' Claude Skill to turn a script into simple presentation graphics, which get dragged into Descript alongside a circular webcam bubble. The recommended workflow runs niche, then a proven video idea validated by a specific views-to-subscriber ratio test, then matching thumbnail, title, and intro, then a voice-dictated script, with slides made last. Three student case studies, including a channel that hit $500,000 in a month and a beginner mistaken for AI, are used as proof that idea selection was the common variable, not editing skill.

Chapters

Where the time goes.

00:00 – 01:18

01 · Intro

Shane opens with the thesis, shows two of his own videos where every slide was AI-generated, and establishes credibility (10,000+ hours in AI tools since 2022, a channel that has helped over 1,000 community members build revenue-generating channels).

01:18 – 01:42

02 · What Claude Code really is

Defines Claude Code as Claude with hands: instead of only chatting, it builds actual files, folders, and automations, including video editing tasks, and requires no coding knowledge to use.

01:42 – 03:02

03 · The desktop setup most beginners skip

Walks through downloading the Claude desktop app specifically (not the browser version), installing it, and signing in with Google.

03:02 – 03:27

04 · Hidden folder trick that keeps everything organized

Connects Claude Code to one dedicated project folder on the computer so every file it generates saves to the same place automatically, a one-time setup step.

03:27 – 06:06

05 · The hack for talking to Claude like a friend

Demonstrates the voice input button, recommends talking to Claude instead of typing, and shows testing the setup with a simple request. Explains that when something breaks, asking Claude to diagnose and fix it usually works. The back half pivots into a pitch for a free live training and a Claude-powered niche tool giveaway.

06:06 – 07:12

06 · Why polished editing might be hurting your videos

Argues that heavily produced videos with motion graphics and sound effects are losing to simpler, more authentic content, and that tutorials showing elaborate AI-editing tricks often hide the manual expert cleanup behind the finished product.

07:12 – 08:44

07 · The one-slide-per-point method

Introduces a Claude Skill prompt that makes one slide per point rather than per sentence, demoed live producing five labeled slides mapped to specific script lines and saved automatically into the connected folder.

08:44 – 09:26

08 · Fastest way to drop slides into a video

Shows dragging generated slides into Descript's media slot by hand, and notes that Claude can auto-place slides via an MCP integration, but manual dragging is often faster than delegating the full edit.

09:26 – 11:50

09 · The simple face-cam layout we use

Drops a webcam bubble into a circle over the slides in about ten seconds, then walks through three student case studies (a creator who hit $500K in a month, a nurse who reached $10,500 a month in AdSense and quit her job, and a beginner whose stiff first video still hit 800K+ views and a $78K/year run-rate day) as proof the format works regardless of editing polish.

11:50 – 13:21

10 · The hidden pattern behind standout channels

Points out that the three case studies had almost nothing in common editing-wise, one used slides, one barely edited, one was mistaken for AI, and argues the shared variable was the video idea itself. Transitions into another live-training pitch.

13:21 – 13:53

11 · Why the idea matters more than production

States the chapter's thesis directly and gives the Weldon case study: a proven video idea that had done 109,000 views on a 5,000-subscriber channel got remade and pulled 178,000 views in one month.

13:53 – 14:32

12 · The AI video idea finder technique

Demos a Claude Skill that searches for proven video ideas once given a niche hypothesis statement, generated by a separate niche-validation tool.

14:32 – 15:53

13 · The method for spotting proven ideas

Lays out the criteria for a proven idea: 100,000+ views, 100,000 or fewer subscribers, at least a 5:1 views-to-subscriber ratio, and editing quality a beginner could match. Uses a 1.9-million-view outlier from a 48,000-subscriber channel as the example, which a student then remade for 800,000+ views.

15:53 – 17:14

14 · The secret behind a standout thumbnail

Introduces the 'holy trifecta,' thumbnail, title, and intro all saying the same thing, using a plain-background thumbnail that hit 1 million views in 3 days as the example.

17:14 – 18:04

15 · The thumbnail test most creators fail

Gives the cover-the-title test: if the thumbnail alone doesn't communicate what the video is about, it's not finished, and explains that mismatched packaging confuses viewers rather than intriguing them.

18:04 – 19:00

16 · The scripting strategy

Describes writing the script through a 5-to-15-minute spoken 'yap session' where Claude interviews the creator, producing an outline and then a full word-for-word script.

19:00 – 22:21

17 · The complete blueprint in the right order

Recaps the five-step order (niche, proven idea, packaging, script, slides) and explains slides come last because they're fastest once everything above is locked. Closes with an extended pitch for the free live training and a 1:1 coaching application.

Atomic Insights

Lines worth screenshotting.

  • The channel behind this video has done over $10 million in revenue using nothing more than static slides and a circular webcam bubble.
  • A creator went from $30,000 a month to $500,000 in a single month after fixing the idea and packaging behind her videos, not the editing.
  • A nurse posting 3-4 videos a week at under 30 minutes of effort each hit $6,000, then $8,000, then $10,500 a month in AdSense within her first three months.
  • A first-ever video, filmed with editing so minimal that commenters assumed it was AI-generated, still pulled over 800,000 views and produced a $214.19 day, a $78,000-a-year run rate, 29 days after posting.
  • A proven video idea is defined by three numbers: 100,000-plus views, a channel with 100,000 or fewer subscribers, and at least a 5:1 views-to-subscriber ratio.
  • One example video hit 1.9 million views from a 48,000-subscriber channel, roughly a 40x outlier, meaning almost everyone who watched it had never heard of the channel before.
  • A real-estate agent's video, copied from a proven idea that had already done 109,000 views on a 5,000-subscriber channel, pulled 178,000 views in its first month.
  • The rule for slides is one per point, not one per sentence, so five sentences building toward a single idea still collapse into a single slide.
  • A plain-background thumbnail with just a face and large text got 1 million views in 3 days because the message was legible in three seconds, with zero design polish.
  • The test for a finished thumbnail is covering the title and judging the image alone. If a stranger can't say what the video is about, it isn't done.
  • Title, thumbnail, and intro all have to say the exact same thing, or a mismatched signal just confuses a scrolling viewer instead of hooking them.
  • The claimed production order is niche, then proven idea, then packaging, then script, then slides, with slides deliberately last because they're the fastest part once everything above them is locked.
  • The recommended way to write a script is a 5-to-15-minute spoken session where Claude interviews you conversationally, rather than typing from a blank page.
  • Videos that show off elaborate AI-editing techniques often hide the professional editor who manually cleaned up everything the AI got wrong, understating how long the real process takes.
Takeaway

The idea decides the video, not the editing

WHAT TO LEARN

Across three creators with completely different editing skill levels, the one variable that predicted success was picking a video idea already proven to work, not how polished the production looked.

02What Claude Code really is
  • Claude Code isn't a coding tool for developers, it's the same Claude that also builds real files, automations, and video assets, not just chat replies.
  • If you can describe what you want in plain language, Claude Code can build it, including dozens of image files in one request, without opening a design tool.
03The desktop setup most beginners skip
  • The web version of Claude doesn't do this. Only the desktop app can read and write files on your own computer.
  • Setup is standard software installation: download, install, sign in with Google, and you're in.
04Hidden folder trick that keeps everything organized
  • Before doing anything else, connect Claude Code to one dedicated folder on your computer. Every file it generates lands there automatically, and this is a one-time setup step.
05The hack for talking to Claude like a friend
  • Talking instead of typing is the recommended default: hold the mic button and describe what you want the way you'd explain it to someone on the phone.
  • Test any new setup immediately with a throwaway request so permission prompts and errors surface before you're mid-project.
  • When something breaks, the fix is to ask Claude directly what's wrong. It diagnoses platform-specific quirks on its own in most cases.
06Why polished editing might be hurting your videos
  • Heavily produced videos with motion graphics and sound effects are losing to simpler, more authentic content right now, even though they look more impressive.
  • Tutorials that show off elaborate AI-editing techniques routinely hide the professional editor who manually fixed everything the AI got wrong, understating how long the process actually takes.
07The one-slide-per-point method
  • The unit of a slide is a point, not a sentence. If five sentences build toward one idea, that's still one slide, which keeps a script from turning into a slideshow.
  • A single prompt fed into a Claude Skill can generate a full slide set, labeled to match specific script lines, in one pass with no manual design work.
08Fastest way to drop slides into a video
  • Claude can integrate with an editor like Descript through MCP and place slides automatically, but manually dragging each slide into a pre-built media slot is often faster than delegating the whole edit.
09The simple face-cam layout we use
  • A circular webcam bubble dropped over a slide takes about ten seconds to set up and is the entire editing template behind a channel that has generated over $10 million in revenue.
  • A creator making $30,000 a month went to $500,000 in a single month using this same simple format, once the underlying idea and packaging were fixed.
  • A nurse posting 3-4 videos a week at under 30 minutes of effort each hit $6,000, then $8,000, then $10,500 a month in AdSense in her first three months and used it to quit her job.
  • A beginner's first video, filmed with light editing so stiff that viewers assumed it was AI-generated, still pulled 800,000+ views and produced a $78,000-a-year-equivalent single day within a month of posting.
10The hidden pattern behind standout channels
  • Three creators who succeeded with this system had almost nothing in common editing-wise. One used slides, one barely edited, one was stiff enough to be mistaken for AI. The shared variable was the video idea itself.
  • Mediocre editing is forgivable if the idea is right. No amount of editing quality rescues a video built on an idea nobody wants to watch.
11Why the idea matters more than production
  • A real-estate agent got a video idea that had already proven itself, made his own version, and pulled 178,000 views in a single month, versus 109,000 views on the original from a much smaller channel.
  • Reusing a validated idea removes the guesswork of whether anyone will care about a topic before a single minute of filming happens.
12The AI video idea finder technique
  • A Claude Skill can search for proven video ideas once it's given a niche description, automating research that used to take a creator hours by hand.
13The method for spotting proven ideas
  • A proven idea is defined by three numbers: 100,000+ views, a channel with 100,000 or fewer subscribers, and at least a 5:1 views-to-subscriber ratio. The ratio is the actual signal, not raw view count.
  • The video also has to use editing quality a beginner could match on day one. A proven idea shot at a much higher production value doesn't transfer the same way.
  • One example got 1.9 million views from a 48,000-subscriber channel, roughly a 40x outlier, which suggests most of that reach came from people who had never heard of the channel before.
14The secret behind a standout thumbnail
  • Title, thumbnail, and intro have to communicate the exact same single message, described as three arrows pointing in the same direction.
  • A plain-background thumbnail with just a face and large text pulled 1 million views in 3 days because the message was instantly legible, with zero design polish.
15The thumbnail test most creators fail
  • Cover the title and judge the thumbnail alone. If a stranger can't say what the video is about from the image in three seconds, it isn't finished.
  • A mismatched title and thumbnail doesn't intrigue viewers, it just confuses them, so they scroll past or click off almost immediately.
16The scripting strategy
  • The actual writing method is a 5-to-15-minute voice session where you talk through the idea out loud and Claude interviews you back, rather than typing a script from a blank page.
  • That spoken session produces an outline first, then a full word-for-word script that can be read straight off a teleprompter.
17The complete blueprint in the right order
  • The real production order is niche, then a proven idea, then packaging, then script, then slides, in that sequence, even though slides get demonstrated first because they're the easiest part to show.
  • Slides are deliberately done last. They only take minutes to generate once the niche, idea, and script are locked, so making them first wastes effort on a video that might not deserve slides yet.
Glossary

Terms worth knowing.

Claude Code
Anthropic's Claude interface for building and editing actual files, folders, and automations on your computer, instead of only replying inside a chat window.
Claude Skill
A saved, reusable prompt template inside Claude Code, invoked with a slash command, that repeats a specific task the same way every time, such as generating slides or searching for proven video ideas.
MCP
Model Context Protocol, the connection standard that lets Claude Code control an external app directly, such as dropping generated slides into a Descript timeline automatically.
Views-to-subscriber ratio
A video's view count divided by its channel's subscriber count, used here as a proxy for whether a video's success came from the topic itself rather than an existing loyal audience.
Yap session
A 5-to-15-minute spoken conversation where a creator talks through a video idea out loud while Claude asks follow-up questions, producing an outline and then a full script from the exchange.
Holy Trifecta
The rule that a video's title, thumbnail, and intro must all communicate the same single message, so a scrolling viewer never has to work out what the video is about.

metaphorstory
Claude Code just changed how YouTube videos are made forever, and I promise there's a version of this in here that fits your exact life. And before I tell you anything, let me just go ahead and show you. This is a video that we put out called the number one Claude AI side hustle for people over 50.
And about four minutes in, you'll see that Claude made that slide. And here's another one. And all the slides in this video were made by Claude, which matters because there are a lot of people showing you a workflow that they used exactly once and they never posted.
I practice what I preach and I've been at this for a while. I spent over 10 ,000 hours in these tools since 2022. I was making videos about these tools since three months before ChatGPT even came out.
And I burned a lot of money finding out what works and what doesn't work before I found out what the optimal workflows are. So what I'm going to be handing you today is the thing that I wish somebody had given me on day one because it would have saved me about two years. And by the way, we've used this to help over a thousand people in our community build channels that actually make money.
And here's the part that most people have backwards. They think that their videos don't work because they don't look good enough. It isn't that.
And I'll prove it to you today with real numbers. And I'm going to show you the sources on the screen with real people and real figures. I taught all of them how to make videos with the help of AI that are actually good, not AI slop.
So if this is helpful and you want me to. to make more videos like this in the future, then let me know by gently choosing that like button and let's go ahead and jump into it right now. Okay, so first of all, we need to get cloud code running.
Now, before we get into it, let me explain what cloud code is because I know what you're thinking. Code, that's for developers, not me. It's not.
Claude code is just Claude with hands. So instead of only answering you in a chat bot, it builds the actual files for you. And literally anyone who can talk to somebody else on the phone can make fully functioning apps, pieces of software, or just have Claude do automations for them, such as editing videos.
All right, so the first thing that you wanna do is go to claude .com. And when you get here, you've got two options. You can use it right in your browser or you can download the desktop app.
Now for what we're doing today, we want the desktop app. So go ahead and click download desktop app. And while that's downloading, let me tell you what cloud code actually is because the name throws a lot of people off.
Cloud code is cloud, except instead of just talking to you in chat window, it can build things on your computer. Files, folders, automations, whatever you need. And the reason that matters for us is that the slide is just a file.
And at the end of the day, the whole video that you edit is also just a file. So if you can describe what you want, it can make it and it can make 40 of them without you even opening a design tool. So you don't need to know how to code.
You're just talking to it the same way that you talk to anybody. OK, so once it's downloaded, go ahead and click on it and it's going to show you a file called Claude DMG. So all you want to do is double click that and it's going to give you an option to install.
And what you want to do here is just drag Claude into applications just like that. Now, this is a Mac, of course, but basically the same steps are going to apply if you have a PC as well. Next, you want to sign in.
So this is what it looks like. So once it's installed, it's going to pop up and look like this. And the next thing you want to do is click get started.
So we are going to continue with Google. So I'm just going to pick my account right here. And once you've approved it, you just click continue and it logs you straight into Claude's account.
Now, once you're in here, the next thing you want to do is find Claude code. And to do that, you just click the option up here in the upper left. It's called code and you will be on the Claude code terminal.
Now, the next thing you need is a folder on your computer that's connected to Claude code. And that's where everything you make is going to get saved. And the easiest way to do that is to just click this plus button that says add another folder, then click add, then click new folder.
And I'm just going to call mine Claude code. I'm gonna click Create. and then open and there's the folder.
So everything you do in here gets saved right there. You only have to do that once. So the last thing I wanna do is just make sure that it's actually working, right?
It's always a good idea to do. And the easiest way to do this is to simply just use the mic button right here that says press and hold to record. So I'll press that, I'll hold it down and I'll say, hey Claude, is code working?
And then I'm gonna hit enter. Now, by the way, I always just talk to Claude. Like I almost never type anything unless it's just a few words.
I always literally just talk to it. Almost like I'm talking to a friend and I highly recommend that's what you do as well. So now it's going to go run in the directories and check itself.
And it's going to ask you for a few authorizations along the way. So just click allow. And there it is.
It is working. Now, if anything ever goes wrong and it's not working for whatever reason, you can literally just ask Claude what's happening. And it will literally tell you exactly what to do.
And in many cases, it'll just do it for you. This happened many times with me where some little thing goes wrong because I'm using a PC and not a Mac or something like that. And all I do is I just ask Claude, hey, what's going on?
Can you fix this? And it fixes it for you. So again, as long.
as you can talk into a phone, you can use this. You do not have to be technical as long as you remember to just tell it what to do or ask it what you need to do. So that's the whole setup.
And you never have to do any of that again. Time out, time out, guys. If you ever thought I should be on YouTube, but I never started because of the time or the editing or not knowing what to say or not knowing how to get started.
AI just solved all of those problems for you because you can now make money from YouTube working less than four hours a week. 15 to 30 minutes a day is all you need. And this works even if you have a full time job, you run a business, you're already doing YouTube and you failed at it or you're doing YouTube and you're doing pretty well, but you're struggling with monetization or you're just a normal person who isn't techie at all, which is exactly why this week I'm hosting a live training on exactly how to start YouTube step by step.
or beginners. It is 100 % free, no cash at all. And on top of that, I'm going to be handing out even more bonuses at the training.
Now, just to give you one example, you'll be getting my Niche Validator Pro that's powered by Claude. And we have a ChatGPT version as well. And this is a super valuable piece of software where you can finally figure out what the best niche for you is.
Or if you already have a niche, it's going to help you make it 10 times better. So do not sleep on this one. Go and grab your spot down in the description and the pinned comment below, because the only way to get it is by joining the training.
So if you wait, you might miss out. Now, with that said, at the workshop, you will get to meet me personally.
I'll be answering questions before, during, and after the workshop directly. So I'm looking forward to seeing you there. So go click that link in the description and the pinned comment below.
It's happening this week. So get it on your calendar. And if for some reason you can't make it or you weren't able to be there, still go click that link in the description because it will automatically put you on a wait list to notify you when we'll be running our next live training.
And you will be the first one to hear about it. So yeah, looking forward to seeing you there. And now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Okay, now let's talk about making the slides. Now, here's the thing about teaching something on camera. And this is where I think a lot of people are getting it wrong right now.
People are tired of super polished content. They're tired of things flying around on the screen and swooshing sounds and motion graphics that took somebody four hours and taught them nothing. That is not what's working right now.
And what's working is much simpler, more real, authentic content. And there's some videos on YouTube where people show you how you can do all these animations that are flying around and doing this and doing that. And the truth is a lot of these.
videos make it seem a lot easier than it actually is in reality when you're using AI. And we would know this because we use AI all the time.
So we test all this stuff out. We literally spend over $10 ,000 a month testing all this stuff out so that you don't have to. And they show you the finished product, but they don't show you the human being who's an expert in editing that fixed all the mistakes that the editor made.
And so instead of having to become an expert in editing and having to spend probably more time telling Claude to edit animations in your video, what's better is to just make simple videos instead because those actually work better anyways. So the idea here is. is that every time you make a point, an actual point, you put something on the screen that helps somebody understand it.
So you might have five sentences all building towards one idea. And that's one slide. So I've got a prompt here that does exactly that.
And this is in the description if you want it. And by the way, there's going to be a lot of resources for exactly how to use Claude with YouTube in the description of the comment below. It should be the third link down there.
You can use those if you have any additional questions outside of this video, or you can even use it to follow along with this video as well. And these are Claude skills that have been trained by us for hundreds of hours to be as good as possible. And these are the light versions of the skills that people pay for in our community.
And the reason they're the light version is because people in our community get everything personalized. But the important part is right here. One slide per point, not per sentence.
And then it tells it what a point actually is. And next we're going to have it build it. So there you go.
It made us five slides, one for each point. Empty lake. five shallow holes, the domino, the house with no blueprint, and three feet from gold.
And it's also giving me the lines that go with each one. So I know exactly where each slide belongs in the script. Okay, next let's talk about opening the folder.
So now it's telling me where it put them. So let's go to the folder. So in the documents, and here is the cloud code folder that we made at the start.
And there they are, all five slides. So this first one says great gear still fails in empty lakes, right? So it's a guy fishing with the best gear in the world, but he's fishing in an empty lake.
which is an analogy. You want to make sure that you go to lakes that actually have fish in them. Then there's five shallow holes, never reach water.
Then there's the blueprint first, not random walls. And then there's one small wind starts much bigger, right? The domino effect.
And then there's a slide for somebody that quit three feet before they hit the vein. OK, so now you've got the slides. Let me show you how fast these go into an actual video.
And we'll be using Descript to edit the slides. So all you do is you click change layout and then you click media and then it creates the slot for you. And now you just drag the slide in.
Now you can also tell Claude. to put the slides in at the key moments, right? So Claude has an MCP feature where it integrates with Descript and it can actually put the slides in for you automatically.
With that being said, it's honestly faster to just drag it in. And this is the thing that all these AI videos don't tell you. It'll probably take you hours if you try to make the AI do all of the editing.
Whereas if you just do a few parts here and there and just put the finishing touches on it, it'll take you a matter of minutes. And by the way, I do recommend using Descript. It is the easiest editing software in the world and it can do everything that you need.
do to make videos so next you want to put your face on it so i'm going to take my webcam and i'm going to change it to a circle i'm going to make it smaller and then i'm going to drag it down here in the corner and that's it you can make it a square if you want or a portrait or a landscape you can make it bigger whatever you like i like to use the circle now by the way descript also has a feature where you can record directly on descript so if you want to record on the script you can do that or if you want to record separately with your phone or something and then drag it onto the script you can do that as well because now when i play it back the slides up and i'm talking over the top of it and that took me about to 10 seconds i added the picture and it changed my face to a circle and that's the whole thing that is how we make the videos on this channel and this channel has done over 10 million dollars in revenue now of course there are a lot of things that go into the video but i always like to tell my community members just to make it as simple as possible especially when you're first starting and this is a style of video that a lot of our most successful community members do right a great example of that is sean he's in our community and he uses this exact style on his channel right now and when sean started with us he was stuck making about 30 000 a month for years on
his channel. So he was already crushing it on YouTube, but we helped him grow his YouTube channel and get to over $500 ,000 in a single month. And it doesn't have to be slides.
As long as you provide value, a simple talking head video will do as well. Just like Jen here who edits her videos into script. And with the system we gave her, she's able to pump out three to four videos a week.
And she says that she rarely spends 30 minutes on a video. So usually she's spending less than 30 minutes. And because of this, she got monetized really fast in YouTube.
And her first month monetized, she made it to $6 ,000 in a month. The next month it was 8 ,000. And the month after that, it was $10 .5 ,000 just from AdSense alone.
And she did it all just by talking about stuff that's common sense to her because of her career. And that's not even the best part. The best part is she was able to quit her nursing job that had been burning her out for years.
And now she travels around the country in a camper van and she films her videos in the back of the van. And you do not have to be technical to do any of this. In this program, if you want to cut something out of your video, you highlight the words and you delete them.
That's the edit. The video changes with it. My brother Zach is not a technical guy at all.
His first video was about as simple as it gets. Some B -roll laid over the top and a few words popping up on the screen. And that's it.
And he was so stiff in that first recording that people in the comments were saying that he was AI. And that video now has over 800 ,000 views. It was the very first video it made.
It blew up. And 29 days after posting that very first video on his channel, he made $214 in a single day. That's a $78 ,000 a year run rate.
So we went from zero to a full -time income in less than one month. And he finished his first year making $18 ,000 in a single month. Now stop and look at what those three have in common because it isn't the editing.
One of them uses slides. One of them barely edits at all. One of them was so stiff that people thought he was a robot.
What they have in common is that every single one of them was making a video about the right thing. The idea is what matters. If you get the idea right, mediocre editing is fine, as long as people can understand you.
If you get that idea wrong, it doesn't matter how good your slides are. Now, if you wanna know the most important part about a video, then go ahead and attend our live training this week, where I'll be teaching you how to grow and make money on YouTube. So the most important parts about a video are one, picking the right niche.
If you pick the wrong niche, you can do everything else right, and you're still gonna - to fail. So we made an AI tool that we're going to be giving away at this live training that's been trained on thousands of hours of us helping our community members pick the ideal niche for them.
So it's going to help you pick your niche in the first place if you don't have one, or if you do have one already, it's going to help you make it 10 times better. We're also going to help you start with our specific system of doing YouTube, which is designed for you to make a full -time income even with a tiny channel. And we're going to teach you, even if you're a beginner, even if you're not tech savvy, even if you're on the older side, just like Zach and Jen, exactly how to do this.
So click that first link in the description. in the pinned comment below. Seats are limited, so make sure you reserve your seat right now.
And also, if you're seeing this in the future, still click that link because it'll automatically put you on the wait list for whenever we do the next live training. But we have some special bonuses that we're only giving away at this live training, so I'd highly recommend attending this one. Oh, and also, I'll be answering questions before, during, and after the live training, so if you have any questions directly for me, I look forward to seeing you there.
Click that first link in the description in the pinned comment below, and let's do it. All right, let's talk about why the idea is what matters, because this is what decides whether a video works or not. You can have the best.
slides, the cleanest edits, the nicest camera. But if you're making videos about something that nobody wants to watch, none of that will save you. So there's a guy in my community, for instance, named Weldon.
He spent 20 years in the military, retired last June and went into real estate. And he makes videos about downsizing and decluttering for people over 50. And we found a video idea for Weldon titled never have this in your house when selling.
And this video had 109 ,000 views from a 5k subscriber channel. So we had Weldon make his own version of the video that's slightly different. And the video got 178 ,000 views in just one month.
So let me show you how we find ideas like that. I'm going to go to Claude and I'm going to type slash CGE video idea finder. This is a Claude skill that we made.
And then I'm just going to paste my niche hypothesis statement and press enter. Now, you might be confused how I got my niche statement. Well, I do use a tool called the Niche Validator Pro.
It's a tool that can help you find your niche or dial it in if you already have one. And again, I'm going to be giving that away for free at the live training this week. So click the first link in the description in the pinned comment below.
Now, the reason I'm not giving that away now is because you need to actually watch the live training to understand how it works. so we can help you personalize it. So go ahead and sign up now.
Links in the description and comment below should be the first link down there. And while that's running, let me tell you exactly what it's looking for because this is the most important part. And you can do this by hand if you want to.
I call this the icon method. It's looking for videos with over 100 ,000 views or more from a channel with 100K subscribers or less with a views to subscriber ratio of at least five to one and editing that you could match on your first day. Now, this used to take me a massive amount of time to find these video ideas, but now Claude can do it for us.
And when you find that, you've basically found proof that the ideas work and it isn't the production quality that's carrying the video. It's the same method that I used to blow up my brother's very first video. So we found this video right here, the highest paying trades jobs that no one's talking about.
And it got 1 .9 million views from a channel with 48 ,000 subscribers. And the video itself was mediocre in my opinion, right? It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either.
It was just mediocre. So it qualifies for the icon method. And it was literally a 441X outlier, which means almost everybody who watched that had never heard of him.
here's Zach's version, highest paying trades jobs that no one is talking about. Zach uploaded this video. It got over 800 ,000 views and completely blew up his channel.
And he didn't find something trending. He found something proven. There's a difference.
And the difference is that proven doesn't expire. OK, so it's done. And here's what it found.
Every one of these hit the criteria that we just talked about. So I can't emphasize how much of a game changer this is. And once you have the idea and once you know how to make videos, which you can very easily, Nurse Jen, for instance, literally just records on her webcam.
We've got many people in our program that started with the phone. brother Zach started with his phone, for instance. Then you pick your niche.
Then you have the idea. The next thing you need to worry about is packaging. Packaging is very important because you could have the best idea in the world, but you need to communicate that idea with your thumbnail, your title and your intro.
So I call this the holy trifecta. Now look at this for three seconds and tell me what the video is about. you instantly know, right?
Even though you don't even see the title, you'd know just by looking at the thumbnail. You saw a doctor and you saw hygiene mistakes after 70. And that means the video is about hygiene mistakes that people make in their 70s.
And that thumbnail delivers the same message as the video idea, which is hygiene mistakes after 70 that doctors notice immediately. And this video got 1 million views in just three days. And notice that the thumbnail is not fancy.
It's her, a plain background, and big text. And it just makes one thing clear immediately. So here's what packaging actually means, because most people think it means making a nice thumbnail it doesn't your title your thumbnail and your intro all have to be saying the same thing right it needs to be like three different arrows that are all pointing in the same direction and what i see a lot of people do is they'll have three different arrows and the title thumbnail and intro might actually be good but the arrows are pointing in the opposite directions and so it doesn't move anybody It just confuses them.
They end up not clicking. Or if they do click, they end up clicking off the video right away. Because if your thumbnail says one thing and your title says another, the person scrolling doesn't stop to work it out.
They just keep going. And the thumbnail is carrying most of that weight because nobody reads your title. Not really.
Right. You've got about three seconds. And in three seconds, a person is just looking at a picture.
So here's how you check yours. Cover the title. Look at just the thumbnail.
And if you can't tell what the video is about, it's not done. So go back in the cloud code. I'm going to take the idea and turn it into a script.
So now you've got your niche. You've got your. idea, you've got your packaging, the last thing that you need is the script so that you actually have something to say when the camera's on.
Because good packaging is what gets somebody to click, and the script is the only thing that keeps them there. When you've got all three lined up, that's when a video really has a chance. Just like Dr.
Pica, for instance. He's a member of our community, and he's an internal medicine physician, board certified in obesity medicine, and he'd been uploading consistently for months and not getting anywhere. The expertise was never the problem.
What he was missing was the scripting and the structure underneath it. Once that got fixed, his channel did $232 ,000 views and picked up over 4000 subscribers in his first month.
So let's go get our subscribers as well. Back to the ideas that it just found us. So I particularly like this one.
I'm going to copy and paste it back to Claude. And usually what I do here is a yap session, which takes anywhere from five to 15 minutes. So basically what the yap session is, is I turn on the voice control button and I just yap to it for a while.
I share my ideas with it. I share what I want the video to look like. And then it asks me questions.
It interviews me. We go back and forth and then I make a script. So the script that my brother wrote, for instance, he did exactly this.
It took him less than 15 minutes and that video got over 800 ,000 views. But for the sake of the video, I'm just going to say write the script right away. So it gave me the outline first so that I can see the shape of the whole thing before I read a word of it.
And then underneath that, the actual script, word for word, exactly what I'd say. So I can drop this straight into a teleprompter and start recording. Now, the script right here, this is what I'm going to send back into Cloud Code.
Same prompt from earlier. You paste this script under it and it builds your slides, which means we just went all the way around. We started with the niche.
We found an idea that was already proven. That idea became the script. and that script becomes the slides.
And then you just have to record it. And the only reason I did the slides first in this video is so that you could see what you were working towards. But this is the actual order.
All right. So let me put the whole thing back together for you. You start with the niche, who you're helping, what you're helping them with.
Then you find an idea that's already proven instead of guessing at 100K views or more from a channel that's smaller than 100K subscribers, at least a five to one views to subscriber ratio. And the video itself can't be a masterpiece, right? It has to be either mediocre or preferably bad, right?
So somebody's already shown you that the idea works if they. hit all these criteria. Then you nail the packaging, the title, the thumbnail and the intro.
I like to call it the holy trifecta. They all need to be saying the same thing. So cover the title and the thumbnail should still be able to tell you what the video is all about.
Then you write the script and that five to 15 minutes where you sit there and talk about what you actually think. That's the part that nobody can do for you. And then you make the slides and the slides can be made from the script.
And you do that last because they're the easy part once everything above them is right. So that's the order and do it in that order. And you're not guessing at any point in the process.
Now, I know 99 % of you are just going to enjoy my video. get a ton of value out of them. You're going to download our free resources in the description in the pinned comment below, get a ton of value out of those.
And you're definitely going to attend the live training. You should definitely do that. We've had so many people just like Isaiah, for instance, who were able to get success just by attending our live trainings.
He made it to over $20 ,000 in a single month just by watching my videos and attending the live training. So click the first link in the description in the pinned comment below to attend that. But I know for 99 % of you, you're going to get all that value from me and we are never going to work together.
And that is totally fine. I always want to give 10 or even 100 times more value than what I receive. With that being said, there's going to be 1 % of you out there, maybe 0 .1 % of you out there that wants a hand -holding experience, right?
You want one -on -one mentorship, one -on -one coaching, or you literally just want us to do the work for you because you're a very busy person and you want to save yourself time, effort, money, etc. So if that sounds like you, go ahead and click the second link in the description in the pinned comment below to book a call with us.
But only book this call if you're very serious about growing and making money on YouTube. On this call, we'll figure out where you are right now, where you want to be. We'll make a plan to get there and we'll see if we're a good fit to work together or not.
types of people we typically work with are going to be professionals with at least 10 years of experience or people that are younger, but they're overachievers, basically people that have something to teach and have value to give, right? They've had problems in their life, they've solved those problems, and they can help other people solve the same exact problems.
We also work with business owners that want to get more views, grow their brand, get more subscribers and followers, and of course, get more leads, clients and make more revenue from YouTube. We also work with YouTubers who are getting a lot of views, but they're struggling with monetization, or they have a channel, but it's a dead channel, or they have a channel that's stuck in a niche that they don't like, and they want to pivot to something that can actually make money.
We also help YouTubers who are crushing it, but they want to crush it even harder. And we also help people who have large followings on other social media platforms, and they want to bring those followings over to YouTube because they know that YouTube is the best when it comes to actually making money. So if that sounds like you, go ahead and click that second link in the description in the pinned comment below.
But only do it if you're very serious about growing and making money on YouTube, because what all those people have in common is they all want to treat YouTube like a business. We have very limited spots, and it takes us a massive amount of time. effort and money to help people one -on -one.
So it is very expensive. With that being said, I highly recommend whether you book a call or not to attend our live training this week by clicking that first link in the description, the pin comment below, and also check out this video right here to see exactly how we help nurse Jen with this exact method that we talked about today, go from zero to a full -time income in a very short period of time and make it to over $10 ,000 in a single month, just from AdSense alone.
And you can check that out by clicking right here.
