Gemini Finds a New Way to Get Digital Marketing Clients (No Cold Calls)
Gemini names the service to sell in one prompt. The rest of the video is the part that actually gets it sold: a free AI receptionist and a video-prospecting engine that films itself.

Big Idea
The argument in one line.
Choosing a sellable local-business service is the easy part once you know the right filter to run it through; the entire difficulty of this business model is building a system to find and reach the people who will actually buy it.
Who This Is For
Read if. Skip if.
READ IF YOU ARE…
A freelancer or agency owner looking for one productized local-business service with a clear ROI story instead of a menu of vague marketing offers.
Someone who wants to land clients without cold calls or sales Zooms and is willing to try AI voice and AI-avatar video tools to do it.
Anyone who already has a lead-generation habit but is looking for a lower-friction way to reach prospects than manual outreach or filmed sales videos.
SKIP IF…
You want a fully done-for-you agency with no setup, since VAPI and the lead tool both require you to configure prompts, filters, and campaigns yourself.
You're looking for organic content or SEO strategy rather than paid outreach tools and cold prospecting.
TL;DR
The full version, fast.
Asked to name a local-business service that owners already understand they need, that's diagnosable from a website, and that has an obvious fast ROI, Gemini suggested database reactivation, missed-call text-back, and an AI receptionist for after-hours calls. The video builds the AI receptionist for free in VAPI, then argues the real bottleneck isn't the service, it's landing clients. The fix is a lead tool that filters local businesses by attributes like 24/7 hours and no chatbot on their site, then auto-generates a personalized AI-avatar prospecting video for each lead with zero filming. Recommended pricing is $500 to $1,000 a month, and a live demo phone number is the closing trick.

Paul states the four-filter prompt: a service owners already understand they need, diagnosable from their website, with obvious ROI, and low fulfillment.
00:45 – 01:50
02 · What Gemini came back with
Gemini returns a list of options, including database reactivation, missed-call text-back, and an AI receptionist tied to automated SMS booking.
01:50 – 02:25
03 · My twist (free to start)
Paul picks the AI-receptionist angle and introduces VAPI, a free tool that provisions phone numbers for AI voice assistants.
02:25 – 03:10
04 · Live AI receptionist demo
A working VAPI assistant answers a test call as a plumbing company receptionist, takes the caller's name, number, address, and preferred time.
03:10 – 03:50
05 · The real problem nobody sees coming
Paul argues the service itself isn't the hard part; landing a client is what actually stops most people, setting up the lead tool Personable.
03:50 – 05:50
06 · Finding leads who already need this
Personable filters businesses by type, location, and attributes like 24/7 hours, surfacing 240 matching leads to prospect.
05:50 – 07:51
07 · AI films the outreach video for you
Selecting a lead and a done-for-you campaign auto-generates a personalized AI-avatar prospecting video with no filming or scripting required.
07:51 – 09:35
08 · What the prospect actually sees
A finished video addressed to a real business by name plays back, pointing out a specific gap on the prospect's own website before a call-to-action.
09:35 – 09:55
09 · What to charge for this service
Paul recommends pricing the AI receptionist at $500 to $1,000 a month, still cheaper than an answering service or a full-time hire.
09:55 – 11:40
10 · Full VAPI setup walkthrough
A full walkthrough of picking a voice, writing the greeting and system prompt, and configuring the assistant's personality and services.
11:40 – 12:15
11 · Linking the free phone number
The assistant gets tied to a newly created free phone number that can be handed to the client to swap onto their website.
12:15 – 13:27
12 · The demo trick that sells itself
Paul closes with the tactic of giving prospects a live demo number to call and test, calling it the thing that sells itself.
Atomic Insights
Lines worth screenshotting.
Missed calls and after-hours coverage are diagnosable from a business's own website in under three minutes, without ever contacting the owner.
VAPI includes 10 free phone numbers, so an AI-receptionist offer can be built and sold to the first 10 clients before the tool costs anything.
Filtering leads for businesses that are open 24/7 before pitching an AI receptionist targets the exact companies already losing revenue to missed after-hours calls.
Filtering for 'no chatbot detected' on a lead's website flags prospects who haven't already solved the problem you're about to pitch.
AI avatar tools can generate dozens of personalized outreach videos, each addressed to a business by name, in the time it takes to film and re-film one video by hand.
A recommended price of $500 to $1,000 a month for an AI receptionist still undercuts the cost of hiring an answering service or a full-time employee.
The hardest part of this business model isn't finding a sellable service, it's finding and reaching the specific people who will buy it.
Handing a prospect a live demo phone number to call and test themselves sells the product better than any pitch, because it proves the result instead of describing it.
Takeaway
Picking the service is the easy part
GETTING CLIENTS
A diagnosable, high-ROI local-business service is simple to find with the right filter, but every real gain in this model comes from automating who you reach and how you reach them.
01The prompt I gave Gemini
A good productized service passes four filters: business owners already know they need it, it's diagnosable from their website alone, it has an obvious fast ROI, and it doesn't require heavy fulfillment.
02What Gemini came back with
Gemini returned multiple viable ideas, not just one, including database reactivation, missed-call text-back, and an AI receptionist tied to automated SMS booking.
03My twist (free to start)
VAPI lets you build an AI phone receptionist for free and includes 10 free phone numbers, so you can land your first 10 clients before paying anything for the tool.
04Live AI receptionist demo
A working AI receptionist demo can answer, ask for name, number, address, and preferred appointment time out of the box, with no custom coding required.
05The real problem nobody sees coming
Picking what to sell is the easy part. The actual bottleneck in this business model is finding and reaching the people who will buy it.
06Finding leads who already need this
Lead-finding tools let you filter local businesses by type, location, and specific attributes like 24/7 hours, so you only prospect businesses that clearly need the service.
Filtering for 'no chatbot detected' on a lead's website flags prospects who haven't already solved the exact problem being pitched.
07AI films the outreach video for you
AI avatar tools can generate a personalized prospecting video, addressed to a specific business by name, without filming or scripting a single new video.
Automating video outreach means you can prospect to dozens of businesses in the time it would take to film and re-film one video by hand.
08What the prospect actually sees
The AI-generated video points out a specific gap on the prospect's own website, then ends with a clear call to action, either booking a call or buying directly.
09What to charge for this service
$500 to $1,000 a month is a defensible price for an AI receptionist service, since it still undercuts hiring an answering service or a full-time employee.
10Full VAPI setup walkthrough
Setting up the receptionist only requires three inputs: a greeting message, a system prompt describing the business and its hours, and a voice selection.
11Linking the free phone number
The AI receptionist gets tied to a free phone number that's handed to the client to swap in on their own website.
12The demo trick that sells itself
Giving a prospect a live demo phone number to call and test themselves closes better than any pitch, because it proves the result instead of describing it.

I wanted to see if Gemini could find me a digital marketing service that almost every local business actually needs, was easy to demonstrate, and could be sold without me getting on any Zoom calls. So here's what I told Gemini. I want a service that local businesses already understand they need, that I can diagnose just by looking at their website, and that has an obvious ROI, and that doesn't require tons of fulfillment.
And honestly, you won't believe what it came back with. It didn't just give me one idea, it gave me a whole list to choose from. And in a second, I'm going to jump into Gemini and show you exactly how.
I got there. But finding the service isn't actually the hard part. The real hard part is something most people never see coming.
And it's the reason most people never land a single client. So let me jump into Gemini and show you. All right, well, let's just get into it.
So let's go ahead and tell Gemini, I want a service that local business owners already understand they need that can be diagnosed from their website, has an obvious ROI and doesn't require tons of fulfillment. So something that is in the digital marketing space that this will fit well from and that I can make a lot of money doing.
Okay, so we've got a database reactivation, missed call text back, tied into automated AI SMS booking pipeline. That's pretty cool. I kind of like this whole missed call test thing, but I'm kind of thinking a little bit of a twist with it because everyone and their mom is doing the whole missed call text back.
But I do like the whole, hey, let's call a business line after hours and actually do that. So I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to use a tool called VAPI in order to fulfill this service because it's free to get started with them. So let me open it up here.
If you're not familiar with this service, you can go to pauljames .com forward slash VAPI and check it out. But what this allows you to do is they give you, I think, 10 free phone numbers. to set up these AI receptionists for local business owners and help them with their missed calls.
So essentially all we have to do is come in here and under the assistance tab, click create an assistant and we can just prompt it with what we want them to do. And that's basically it. I'll show you an example first and then we'll talk about actually finding someone that needs this service.
So if I hit talk here, I can test it out.
Thanks for calling Summit Plumbing Co. This is Elliot. How can I help you today?
Hey, Elliot. I was looking to have someone come out and give me a quote on a new water heater. Absolutely.
I can help with that. Could I get your name and phone number, please? Also, what's the address for the service?
And do you have a preferred day or time for the team to come out? Okay. I'm going to end the call there.
Obviously, you see the whole product that we're going to provide to people. And it's really easy because it basically comes like this out of the box. And then you just tie it to a phone number, which I'll show you how to do here in a minute.
By the way, if you like these style of videos, let me know by hitting the like button and commenting below. And I'll also send you some more free training if you leave a comment too. And make sure you're subscribed.
that's the service in a nutshell but like i said at the beginning the biggest problem here isn't actually what to sell it's actually getting the client so let's talk about that first okay so i use a tool called personable and i'll leave a link in the description below this video because there's a whole setup that you have to do to set this up.
And when you purchase it through the link below, you can actually get it all set up using all of my exact prompts and stuff. So this tool lets you come in here and find leads who already need this service. So if I come in here and click find new leads, I can filter by any sort of business type that I want in here.
I can filter by any country, so it doesn't matter what country you're targeting. Just say I want to target the United States and I don't know, maybe I want to target Georgia. Okay, I can filter by that.
I can even filter by a specific city. Okay, and this is the really powerful part is this advanced filter. We want to look at this website check or actually not website check, business detail check.
We want to look for businesses that are open 24 -7 because remember, According to Gemini, there's a lot of people who are missing these after -hour calls. So what we want to do is we want to make sure that we're only prospecting to leads that have after -hours listed as what they offer.
So with that, we can come down here and click search. And what's going to happen is it's going to return a bunch of leads that match the exact filters I put in. are always constantly updating.
There's always new leads in here. So I've got 240 leads that match my filters right now that I can go and start prospecting to. And if I click it, I can take a look at their website.
Awesome. And it does indeed show that they're open 24 seven. So here's what I would do.
And this is why this is so cool. I'm going to click view details on this lead here, and I'm going to click use this business. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to do some talking points here.
So no chatbot was detected on their website. And I'm going to put it under the campaign.
Let's see, which one do I want to put it under? We could do AI receptionist will work or we could do chatbot, either one. I'm going to do AI receptionist.
Now these campaigns that are in here. when you pick up this app, they don't come with these campaigns, but when you use my link in the description of the video, I'll also put it in a pinned comment. I'm giving you all of my campaigns done for you, which means that it's going to write the script, film the video and everything all done for you to the exact specifications.
So now I can come through here and I can click add lead and I'm ready to generate the video. And this is the really cool part. Normally, you would have to go by hand and film the video that goes on their website and is like, hey, I noticed you're up in 24 -7.
You know, we should set up an AI chatbot or an AI receptionist to handle all of your after hours calls, right? It's going to do this all automatically using an AI avatar, meaning that you don't have to film a single video. You don't have to write a single script.
So all I got to do is click generate video. click Generate, and it's gonna generate this video for me automatically. Now, you may be thinking to yourself, why not just film the videos myself?
And the answer is because that takes a long time. You could go and you could start filming, you mess up, then you have to re -film all over again. That's very time consuming, whereas I can go through here and I can prospect to 10, 20, 30, 50 people by the time that you even finish a single video.
The awesome part is that it just looks amazing. So if I copy this link on one of these that are already done and I open it up, what it does is it gives me a video that I can go and send out now to the prospect. Now this one is prospecting for a different service, I believe.
I don't think it's doing an AI receptionist when I did this one. But you can see what it does is it puts their company name on the page and in a video with me here. Now keep in mind, I did not film this video.
The app does it all for you. All you have to do is upload a picture of yourself and a quick 30 second sample of you talking and it'll do it for you. And if you don't want to use your own face, they have other avatars of other people and other voices if you want.
But I just like to use my own because, you know, I'm like the face of my business. And then under it is a call to action. You can either book a free strategy session or if you just want this to be like a buy button so they can just buy the service, you can do that too.
But let's take a quick listen to the video so you can hear how awesome it is. Now keep in mind, again, this isn't for the, I don't think this is for an AI receptionist. I forget what this one is for, but you'll get the point.
Hi, Paul James here. I took a look at the Fields Group, LLC's website, and it appears there isn't currently a video anywhere on the site, including the homepage. That's a useful opportunity, especially because a short...
Okay, so you get the point, right? It's really good. It's very, very close to myself.
And they're on their website scrolling through. It's going to stop. It's going to grab the attention of them when we send this off to them.
And this one was selling video marketing. So like I said, there's a bunch of done for you campaigns inside of there that come with the link below the video. And this...
i think they're taking this offer down pretty soon so definitely go check it out sooner than later but like i said we can bang out dozens of these videos in the time it would normally take to film it you don't have to script you don't have to film all you have to do is find the lead click generate and then send out this link so you would just go on their website and send out the link hit the contact button and then send out the link to them so i could put it right here i could look for a email on their website or a facebook page so however you want to send it that's totally up to you and then i also include the exact scripts when you pick it up using the link in the description of exactly what to say when you send the video okay so now that you know how to get the client and i recommend you charge anywhere from 500 to a thousand dollars a month for this service But it's totally up to you with whatever you want to charge.
But think about it. If they're going to hire an answering service to do this, if they're going to hire a full -time employee to do this, they're going to be paying a lot more than either of those prices. So that's what I always keep in mind.
Let's go back to VAPI so that you know how to set this up. So like I said, all you're going to do is click Create Assistant inside of VAPI. You can choose what voice you want to use over here by clicking Edit.
And they have a bunch of different voice models in here. So you can see I picked an American voice who's a male. But if I wanted to pick like a British voice or an Australian voice, they have all those options in there.
And by the way, you can start for free with this. This is not something you need to pay for. You can take on your first 10 clients before you ever spend a dime on this, which is really great.
And then at that point, your client is covering the cost. So the only couple of things you need to set up is this first message here. So I normally just say, thanks for calling business name.
This is Elliot. You just name your virtual assistant something. How can I help you today?
Then you need to fill out this system prompt right here. And this is easy too. You're just going to say something like, you are a virtual receptionist for Summit Plumbing Co.
or whatever their name is. a plumbing company in whatever city they're in. Your name is Elliot.
You answer every call warmly, professionally. You can also screenshot it if you want to. You know, I'm not holding anything back.
I just want you to have everything you need to be successful with this. I normally try to map out their personality. I talk about what they were going to handle for the business.
So usually just what their services are that they offer. And you're going to get this from the actual client once you lend them as a client. You're going to ask what their business hours are and put that in here.
And then you can put in just some common questions. And that's basically it. Now from that point, all you need to do is tie this to a phone number that they can then put on their website here.
So they're going to switch out this phone number on their website with one that you give them. And you do that right under the phone number tab here. So if we click into that, you can click create new phone number.
Okay, and then you're going to name your phone number something. name it after the business name and then scroll all the way down here where it says assistant and you're going to select that assistant that you created from the drop down here. So click summit plumbing receptionist and that's it.
Now they're linked together. I can take this phone number that I just got for free, give it to them so they can put on the website. They can test it out.
One of the best ways to do this is actually to set up a demo phone number for your clients to try and then they can test it out and it practically sells itself, right? You send a personalized video and then tell them that they can click below to test out a demo and then have it go to like a landing page with a demo phone number on it or something like that.
It works really, really well. So anyways, guys, this is what Gemini suggested. This is my twist on it.
I'll leave a link below to Personable, which is the app that makes these done for you videos. And you can try it out. Again, it is on a special right now and I think that that special is ending really soon.
So jump on it sooner than later. You'll get my done for you campaigns when you use the link in the description to buy it automatically. So that saves you a lot of time and then that way you're not having to write scripts or anything like that.
It's super fast. I hope that you enjoyed this one. If you did, please make sure you subscribe, leave a comment below and hit that like button.
I'll see you in the next one. I'm Paul James. Peace out.
The Hook
The bait, then the rug-pull.
Paul James asked Gemini to name a local-business service he could diagnose from a website, sell without a single sales call, and fulfill without heavy labor. Gemini didn't hand back one idea, it handed back a list, but the video's real reveal is what happens after you have the idea: getting anyone to actually buy it.
