Big Idea
The argument in one line.
High-ticket coaching sales can close entirely through a Google Doc and a DM once content has done the trust-building work a sales call used to do, and the seller genuinely stops needing the sale.
Who This Is For
Read if. Skip if.
READ IF YOU ARE…
An online coach or consultant with an existing audience who still books a strategy call to close every high-ticket sale.
Someone burned out on 'book a call' funnels and curious whether a lower-friction, DM-plus-doc close can actually work.
A creator building a personal brand who wants to understand how consistent content compounds into buyer trust before any pitch happens.
SKIP IF…
You have no existing audience or content yet — this replaces the sales call, it doesn't build an audience from zero.
You sell a low-ticket or transactional product where a live sales conversation was never the actual point of friction.
TL;DR
The full version, fast.
David Chun argues that high-ticket coaching sales no longer need a booked call: once a creator's content has built enough trust, a prospect can be closed with a simple Google Doc offer sent over DM. The mechanism is 'consumption equals conversion' — regular content lets a stranger get to know a creator's personality and philosophy the way they'd get to know a favorite YouTuber, so belief in the offer transfers without a live pitch. That trust only converts if the seller drops 'sales breath' and 'book-a-call breath,' the visible neediness prospects sense and are repelled by. The practical moves are a short, low-pressure DM ('here's the doc, totally up to you'), a stated willingness to walk away, and treating the sale as an invitation rather than a pitch.

01 · How to Close High Ticket Clients without Sales Calls with a Google Doc offer
States the core claim: high-ticket coaching offers can close without a sales call using a Google Doc offer, but only once it's paired with real marketing, not sent cold.
01:00 – 03:08
02 · How to increase conversion? Consumption equals conversion
Trust builds through content the same way it builds with a friend; 'consumption equals conversion' means belief accumulates automatically as people consume a creator's content and personality.
03:08 – 04:34
03 · Shutting down the agency to teach the no-call model
David describes testing the no-call, Google-Doc-offer model in his own marketing agency, then shutting the agency down to teach the model instead.
04:34 – 05:46
04 · How to close more clients? Killing scarcity mindset and "sales breath"
Names 'sales breath' — the visible neediness of a scarcity-minded seller — as a repellent, and argues for holding genuine desire to help alongside real detachment from the outcome.
05:46 – 07:08
05 · The ability to walk away
The ability to walk away has to be congruent and backed by real belief in the product and in your own ability to help, not performed as a script.
07:08 – 08:26
06 · "Book-a-call breath" and market maturity
'Book a call' funnels have matured to the point prospects clock the disguised sales pitch before booking; market maturity means once-effective tactics stop working as buyers catch on.
08:26 – 09:44
07 · Why smart buyers see through sales tactics
Higher-ticket buyers tend to be sharper and see through NLP-style closing tactics fastest, so congruence outperforms technique with exactly the prospects worth the most.
09:44 – 11:02
08 · Reframing the sale as an invitation
Reframes the pitch as an invitation rather than a sale, using a dinner-party analogy: you invite, you don't handle objections to get someone to a dinner party.
11:02 – 12:30
09 · Excess potential: why wanting it too much repels it (reality transurfing)
Introduces 'excess potential' from Vadim Zeland's Reality Transurfing: over-attaching to an outcome creates an imbalance that repels it, in sales and in dating alike.
12:30 – 13:49
10 · Belief transference
Belief transfers from seller to buyer — permission to believe in your own transformation is what gives a prospect permission to believe in theirs, digitally or in person.

11 · Exact lines and setups that close over DMs
Shares the literal DM lines used to close, all built around explicitly naming the prospect's ability to say no, plus the VSL-plus-Google-Doc structure behind them.
15:56 – 17:07
12 · How to stop doing sales calls? Sales is downstream from good marketing
Positions sales as downstream from marketing: once marketing does the trust-building work, the one-to-one sales call becomes redundant, unleveraged effort.

Consumption equals conversion: watching a creator's content builds the same trust as spending time with them in person, and that trust converts on its own.
A Google Doc offer sent cold, with no prior marketing, doesn't work — the doc only closes deals after trust has already been built.
Visible neediness for a sale reads as 'sales breath,' the same repellent whether it shows up on a call or in a DM.
'Book a call' funnels have hit market maturity — prospects now recognize a free strategy session as a disguised sales call before they even book it.
Sophisticated, high-ticket buyers see through NLP- and hypnosis-style closing tactics fastest, because they can feel when a pitch isn't congruent.
'Excess potential,' a term borrowed from Vadim Zeland's Reality Transurfing, says over-wanting a sale creates the exact imbalance that repels it.
The actual funnel replacing the sales call is a VSL plus a linked Google Doc, not a more complex booking system.
Naming the prospect's ability to say no inside the pitch itself — 'totally up to you,' 'no hard feelings if you say no' — was used as a real closing line, not just a mindset.
Takeaway
Sales is what's left over after marketing does its job.
WHAT TO LEARN
A written offer closes high-ticket deals only after content has already built real trust, and the seller has genuinely stopped needing the sale.
01How to Close High Ticket Clients without Sales Calls with a Google Doc offer
The core claim: high-ticket coaching offers can close without a sales call using a Google Doc offer instead — but only when paired with active marketing, not sent cold.
A Google Doc offer sent to a cold prospect with no prior marketing won't convert; the offer only works once trust already exists.
02How to increase conversion? Consumption equals conversion
Trust builds the same way with an audience as with a friend: enough exposure to someone's personality and opinions closes the gap between stranger and known quantity.
'Consumption equals conversion' — the more of a creator's content a prospect consumes, the more belief and trust accumulate automatically, without a deliberate sales step.
Showing personality on camera, not just information, is what compounds into the trust a sales call used to have to build in one sitting.
03Shutting down the agency to teach the no-call model
The no-call, Google-Doc-offer model was tested inside a real agency for a year and a half before being packaged into a repeatable system to teach.
04How to close more clients? Killing scarcity mindset and "sales breath"
Neediness for a sale is legible to prospects regardless of medium — it reads the same whether it happens on a call or in a DM.
The fix isn't indifference to the outcome; it's holding two things at once — genuinely wanting to help the prospect while not needing them to say yes.
05The ability to walk away
Belief has to precede detachment: only after establishing real belief in the product and in your own ability to help does 'walking away' read as confident instead of manipulative.
The ability to walk away has to be congruent, not performed — a borrowed script without genuine belief behind it is detectable to the buyer.
Being established with real results makes an abundance mindset easier to hold honestly, because the confidence has evidence behind it.
06"Book-a-call breath" and market maturity
Free strategy sessions and 'book a call' funnels have matured into a recognized pattern; prospects now clock the disguised pitch before the call even starts.
A tactic that worked when a market didn't recognize it stops working once the market catches on — that's market maturity, and 'book a call' funnels have reached it.
07Why smart buyers see through sales tactics
Higher-ticket buyers tend to be sharper, which means scripted, NLP-style closing tactics are more likely to backfire on exactly the prospects worth the most.
Congruence outperforms technique with sophisticated buyers: a genuine desire to help reads through, and so does a borrowed sales tactic.
08Reframing the sale as an invitation
Reframing a pitch as an invitation changes the actual language used — 'want to join?' instead of handling objections to force a close.
The dinner-party framing works because nobody handles objections to get a friend to a dinner party; they just extend the invite and let the other person decide.
09Excess potential: why wanting it too much repels it (reality transurfing)
'Excess potential,' from Vadim Zeland's Reality Transurfing, holds that over-attaching to an outcome creates the imbalance that pushes the outcome away — applied here to sales and dating alike.
The paradox cuts both ways: releasing the need for a specific sale tends to make prospects more likely to say yes to it.
10Belief transference
Belief transfers from seller to buyer: when the seller has given themselves permission to believe in their own transformation, it gives the prospect permission to believe in theirs.
Digital trust works the same as in-person trust for this purpose — belief and permission can transfer through a screen, not just face to face.
11Exact lines and setups that close over DMs
Cold-close scripts don't need complexity: 'here's a Google Doc, totally up to you if you want to join or not' was used, verbatim, as a real DM closing line.
Explicitly naming the ability to walk away inside the pitch itself — 'we can still be friends afterwards,' 'no hard feelings if you say no' — was framed as what makes prospects comfortable saying yes.
A VSL paired with a Google Doc link functions as the entire close; informal DMs offering the same doc can substitute for or extend that funnel.
12How to stop doing sales calls? Sales is downstream from good marketing
Sales is described as downstream from marketing: once marketing does the trust-building work, the sales step becomes redundant rather than necessary friction to engineer around.
The model trades one-to-one sales calls, which don't scale, for one-to-many marketing plus automation — that trade is the actual leverage being pitched.
Glossary
Terms worth knowing.
Reality Transurfing
A self-help book series by Vadim Zeland that blends intention-focused philosophy with practical technique; the video repeatedly borrows its framing for how neediness affects outcomes.
Excess potential
Zeland's term for an anxious over-focus on getting a specific outcome, which the video claims creates an imbalance that pushes that outcome further away.
Google Doc offer
A written sales page, delivered as a link rather than a live pitch, that lays out a high-ticket coaching offer for a prospect to review and decide on without a call.
See every word as it's spoken — crank it to 2× and still catch all of it. The same dual-channel trick behind Amazon's Kindle + Audible.

Sup? This is David, and today I wanna talk to you about how to close high ticket clients without doing sales calls, without doing sales calls and using a simple Google Doc offer.
K. Google Doc offer. And the reason why we can do this is we have to embrace marketing and providing our demonstrating our services to our potential prospects and clients.
K? So it's not like you can just, you know, go out and, like, send your Google Doc to, cold prospects and expect them to convert to your high ticket coaching offer.
Okay? So you shouldn't expect that. But if you combine the Google Doc offer, like I said, um, with good marketing, then you realize that you don't have to get on the sales calls at all.
Right? You can just close people with simple doc offers, dude.
And the and like, this was like a big mind blower for me when I first got into it because, you know, I was I was skeptical too.
I was like, is this really possible? But then you kind of see from the perspective of like building trust.
Like how do you build trust with somebody? It's like if you spend enough time with them and you know, kinda get to know them person.
Know the person, know their personality, know their philosophy, know their world views. It's like it's even even online, even if you do it digitally, it's like you know the person.
It's like, dude, I it's like I feel like he's my friend. Don't you see like maybe some of your creators, let me maybe like YouTubers or like like Casey Neistat for example.
It's like you you keep watching his videos and it's like, dude, I feel like I know Casey. You know what I mean? I I I I've seen his family.
I I know where he lives. I know what he does. I know what his favorite food is and my favorite places he goes.
I know his personality. It's like you build up so much goddamn trust, right, with good marketing. And because you have built up so much trust, that conversion process, it's like a it's like a natural byproduct, dude.
As the saying goes, consumption equals conversion. Consumption equals conversion. K.
When people just consume your content and you show your personality, like the the the belief and the trust just goes up automatically. It's just a natural byproduct of building trust.
Yeah. I hope you're enjoying the video so far. Uh, would appreciate a like if you are enjoying the content.
And if you are an established online coach and want to learn more about this feel good marketing based business for your coaching, then you can subscribe to this channel for more content like that. And we emphasize creating a business based on leverage and not labor, and we emphasize creating a lifestyle, freedom, high profit based business, and I believe we can have all of that and more.
So if you are into that stuff, you've a vibe with that kind of stuff, then please subscribe for more and back to the vid. I like the exact example I gave. Right?
It's like, how do you build trust? Or like think about like your friends.
Think about like your close close friends or like maybe digital friends. How did you build trust with them? And we're just like reverse engineering that.
And then once we do that, like we don't have to go on to to like a book to call thing and then twist people's arms as they're buying our high ticket thing. We can just send them a Google Doc.
Right? And so I've been able to do this multiple times actually.
Because like, um, once I had that light bulb moment, like, you can actually do this? And then like, I I've tried this in my past marketing agency, um, and it kinda like unlocked the belief for me.
In fact, so much so that, you know, I shut down my marketing agency so I can teach other people this, know, teach the the new way of doing things. Right?
Like selling without sales calls and using Google Docs. And now the the over the, you know, past like year and a half, you know, I thought about like a brand new like business model I built like from scratch, kinda like thinking about every single like step of the way.
And then this is my business model now. Right?
We close with Google Doc offers, and I've been able to do it in this business. And I've been able to teach my clients to do this, and now many many other people have done it.
Right? The the the four mile four minute mile has been broken, and by so many other people too.
Right? And another thing, another great way to not just close high ticket clients, but then also to attract high ticket paying clients is getting rid of that scarcity mindset that you like have to close the sale right then and there.
Right? Even if you're doing the call, even if you're doing the sales calls, it's like they call it sales breath. Right?
Because when you're like so needy for a sales such stuck in like scarcity mindset, people can feel that. People can feel like, my god, this person is like a needy person like, uh, do I really wanna, you know, get into this person's program?
People can feel that. But then when you embrace the opposite, when you have, like, abundance mindset, and it's almost as if you don't care that they join your program.
Right? It's a paradox. It's like you care because you you wanna help them and change their life and transform them, and you know that you can do that, um, by them having them join the program.
Right? But then at the same time, simultaneously, it's like you don't care about getting the sale.
Right? So it's like it's a paradox, but then it's like that balance that you gotta have. Right?
And then, um, you have to have the ability ability to walk away. Right? You have to have the ability to walk away, and people can just feel that, dude.
When people can just feel that abundance mindset, they're like, oh my god, like, I wanna work with this person. Right?
I wanna work with this person. And of course, like, you can use a little, you know, like, small little marketing tactics, have a deadline, have like urgency and scarcity, stuff like that. But it's not like pushy anymore.
It's more like it's more magnetic when you have that kind of mindset. And I do believe it starts with that mindset, dude.
You have to have, first and foremost, you have to have belief in your product. You have to have belief in yourself that you can help them.
You have to establish that. And then having the ability to walk away. Right?
Having the ability to to walk away. And it's gotta be congruent by the way. It's gotta be real.
It's not like you can't just like, uh, have the ability to walk away because David told me to have the ability to walk away. It's like, it's gotta be congruent to and this takes time.
Right? Having that kind of mindset established. And usually, it's like it helps if you are established.
Right? It helps like if if you know that you can get people results and help people transform, then that definitely helps.
Right? So, you know, like I said, like, some people, we have sales breath a lot of times.
And now, we have book to call breath as I like to call it. Because like, we know we know like a strategy session, like a free coaching it's not a free coaching session, dude.
It's a sales call in disguise. And then we're trying to like, you know, force people down this book a call funnel.
People are just off off they're like, they don't want to do that anymore. It's off putting.
It's like bad breath, dude. It's like book a call breath. Like, you're repelling people.
And the market evolves. Right? It's it's known as market maturity.
People know what it is now. It's like a banner. Like, if you didn't know what a banner was, you click on it.
Right? It's like, oh, yeah. Like like like in the old digital Internet days, you didn't know what a banner was.
You clicked on it and you're like, oh my god. This is a advertisement. Right?
And then you get to learn. Right? You adjust.
You evolve. Same thing with sales calls. It's like people know what it is now.
You know, I'm sure that you've been on multiple of these strategy sessions, and it turns up being a sales call. Right?
We all know it now. Right? We all know it.
And the thing about like this whole like ability to walk away, this feel good marketing type of stuff is like being too salesy is a repellent.
Right? Being too salesy is a repellent. The again, like having a having book to call breath is a repellent.
So we have to ask ourselves, are we repelling people or are we attracting people? Right? We gotta get in self our self in the shoes of our prospect.
And then the thing is this, right? If if we're like using all the salesy tactics and sales script and like using NLP hypnosis tactics, that might work on a small segment of people.
But if you are attracting trying to attract your dream clients like the especially the higher ticket ones, the people that have the money, they are smart dude.
Like they are intelligent people. Okay? They're gonna see right through the tactics.
They're gonna know that, oh, this guy is trying to do like a NLP tactic on me. This guy's trying to like use this stupid like hypnosis tactic on me.
You know what I mean? It's like, dude, we all know what it like intelligent people can see right through that. Okay.
They can see right through that because the self is always coming through. The self is always coming through. So be congruent.
Right? Like genuinely wanna help them. Be congruent with that and people can feel that.
I I genuinely genuinely wanna help you. Like get rid of like the idea of the sales and just get into the idea of helping.
Helping and then just simply inviting them to join your program. See it like that. Right?
Don't see it as sales, see it as an invitation. So it's kinda like when you're going to like a like a dinner party. It's like you're not trying to freaking sell sell somebody on like, you know, joining your dinner party.
Right? It's like, you're not trying to like, you know, handle their objections on like the the dinner party. It's like, me and me and a few friends are are going to to a dinner party.
You wanna join? You know what mean? It's just like that.
Sales should be this feel good marketing sales and closing with a g docs. It's it's just as simple as that.
It's like, yo, so I do have a a program that I teach. Wanna see the offer?
I can I can just send you a a Google Doc? You know, you don't have to go on a sales calls or anything like that. I can just send it to you.
Right? Right over like text or if you have like a automated process, you can do this automatically. Right?
Um, so it starts with that, and if you are again, like if you're too like if you're too wanting to sail, it it becomes a huge repellent.
They call this excess potential. Right? Vadim Zeland, great, amazing author of Reality Transurfing.
I read that several freaking times. Right? It it does sound like a little woo woo, but then there's like practical application in it too and like a freaking, you know, freaking completely changed my mindset around, you know, the whole stuff.
But he calls it excess potential. If you have too much importance on something, importance on getting the sale or, you know, even like in the dating world, it's like too much importance on like the, you know, the person that you're dating.
They can feel that. And it's like the the laws of physics, it balances it out.
Right? It balances it out. Like, too much importance creates an imbalance in the universe and has to it has to balance it out.
So that neediness, it'll it'll dissipate that neediness by not giving you the cell.
You know what I mean? By not giving you the cell, it will like balance the universe out. But then the opposite happens too.
Right? It's like when you don't have excess potential, you just are more likely likely to close the sale.
It's a freaking paradox again. Once you let go of the thing that you want, paradoxically, you will attract more of the thing that you just let go.
It's a freaking world paradox. Freaking mindset paradox. Right?
Uh, so believe that you can help them. I guess like the main takeaways for this video, I know this video was like everywhere, um, but it's kind of like a off the cuff thing on how we gotta embrace the right mindset.
Right? And I believe it's a big factor in sales and marketing too, but we're just not talking enough about it.
And people can feel that mindset behind digitally, by the way. They're gonna just feel that mindset via camera.
Like I said in the beginning, it's like we can build trust digitally. Right? We can see somebody like we can see a creator online and we build trust with them and it's like, dude, we kinda I feel like I know this person.
Right? So we can do it digitally too. Right?
So again, it starts with like belief. Right? Believing your product and believing you can genuinely help the person because the self is always coming through.
And when you do that, the belief transfers to the audience. Okay? And then when you give your permission to believe in your program, you give permission to your audience to do so too.
It's like, oh, David gave himself permission, you know, to believe in my transformation, then maybe I can believe in my own transformation too.
Right? Belief transfers. Okay?
Um, and then, like some, I guess, like some takeaways that you can get get from this video. It's like some some great lines I've used to like close people, you know, with like Google Docs.
And you can do this autumn automatically through like, you know, automations. Um, just having like a VSL, a great VSL, you should you should have a VSL combined with like a, know, just like a link to your Google Doc below.
That's, you know, as simple as you can do. Again, you gotta get a couple of this with good marketing, or you can do it through DMs.
Like, what I've done is like sometimes, know, you know, like, you know, I'm sending them good advice, know, helping this person out.
And then, like, when they ask, it's like, oh, dude. Like, I or sometimes it'll be me.
It'll be like, oh, I do have a, you know, a program. You wanna join? I'll send you a Google Doc.
And it's just like that. So some great lines I've used, it's like, hey, here's a Google Doc, dude.
It's totally up to you if you wanna join or not. Um, just let me know. Like, that's it.
Like, I have that ability to walk away, and people can just sense that. Right?
People can just sense that and that has worked tremendously. It just it just works. Right?
Because again, like, we're not coming out of place from scarcity, we're coming out of place from abundance. And another line that you can use is like, hey, totally cool if you don't wanna get in, like, we can still be friends afterwards.
Right? That's another great line. Right?
And I I have used these I've used these lines in chats to quote unquote close people.
Okay? Close, like, high ticket clients. Right?
Um, and just, like, people can just feel that when when you say stuff like this. Right?
Hey. Totally up to you. You know, you can join the program or not.
Here's the here's the doc offer. Hey, we could still be friends afterwards, you know.
No no hard feelings. That was another one I use. I was like, okay.
We can, um, you can join the program or not. Like, no hard feelings if you if you say no. So I believe, uh, you can use those lines.
You can totally, like, you know, steal those lines if you want, and, um, you can by by doing this entire, you know, mindset thing, this is this embracing good marketing thing, then I believe you can do this whole thing without doing the without doing the sales calls. Right?
Because I said this many times before, but sales and the whole sales process is downstream from good marketing, and having a a good personal brand helps too.
But then when you have like this flow of flow streaming down, like the sales process oftentimes gets in the way, and it the sales process is oftentimes redundant and unnecessary.
K? So you're just letting the flow go down the river, dude.
Go down the waterfall and just getting people into your world and doing it in scale so that thereby using digital leverage. Okay?
Instead of the one on one sales process, which is very unleveraged, we're now using one to many.
Opening it up, using technology, using, you know, automations and stuff like that and leverage. But that's how we, you know, we adopt the marketing based world, and so that you don't have to do the sales calls any longer.
Right? So, uh, if you want, you know, some if you wanna join a free community that I teach people this, and I also have a free course on it, you can go to the link down below.
I'll send a a free school link, you know, that encompasses, um, all of this, and you can, you know, get deeper into, you know, this model if that's what you are interested in. Uh-huh.
And it's specifically for, you know, established online coaches who are sick and tired of of doing the calls and just, you know, wanna do more leverage based stuff.
Right? So, uh, go join with the link down below and that's all I had for this one. Would appreciate a like if you got some value out of this video and if you wanna watch more videos on, you know, more concepts on like the marketing based stuff, then I'll leave some videos somewhere here.
You can binge my stuff. Right? You can, like, search out the videos in the channel.
So appreciate you watching this watching all the way through, and I'll talk to you soon.
