Incremental prompted revisions are dramatically faster than first-pass generation because Claude doesn't need to rebuild the entire asset from scratch.
Specificity in prompting directly determines output quality: an ambiguous instruction to 'capitalize the titles' was interpreted as full uppercase instead of the intended title case, requiring a clarifying follow-up prompt.
Claude can be connected to an image-generation MCP (Higgs Field in this case) so it sources the raw photos it needs for a collage graphic itself, rather than the user having to find and supply images.
The same Claude Code video-editor project setup connects to CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro, with reportedly more reliable control inside Premiere, DaVinci, and Final Cut than CapCut.

Describing the exact visual details (color, glow, font style, halftone texture, sync timing) in one prompt produced a result the creator called 'pretty perfect' on the first pass.
08Typography Titles
Researching a specific animation style on Pinterest first, then describing it precisely (direction, easing curve, frame rate, exact font), gave a much more targeted first result than a vague request would.
Ambiguous wording ('capitalize the titles') was misinterpreted as all-caps instead of title case, requiring a clarifying follow-up prompt — specificity failures cost full extra revision cycles.
09Vox-Style Motion Graphics
For a complex multi-element animation, giving the AI a reference video link to analyze AND a spoken, beat-by-beat description of the desired result together produced a workable first pass on a genuinely hard composite graphic.
The AI sourced its own reference photos through a connected image-generation tool rather than requiring the images to be supplied manually.
Once the first full version exists, incremental revisions (adjusting frame rate, texture intensity) took about 4 minutes each versus 22 minutes for the initial build.

I've been able to create some pretty insane, very professional looking motion graphics without knowing how to edit. All I have to do is prompt Claude and then bring them into CapCut.
Not only do these motion graphics look great, but they only take about ten minutes each to generate. But you do have to have the right setup and a little bit of Claude code knowledge. Lucky for you, I already spent all the time, code, and credits to figure this out.
And now I'm gonna show you guys exactly how in this video. So without further ado, let's do some pro motion graphics and editing with Claude and CapCut. No editing skills required.
Alright, guys. So before I get into the tutorial section of this video, I just wanna cover some prerequisites to get you set up. You're gonna need Claude code for this.
Okay? In my comments all the time, I get people asking, can I do this on the free plan? And unfortunately, no.
Maybe in the future, I'll make a free alternative, but for now, you're gonna need Claude code. And for that, you need at least the $20 a month plan. Honestly, I would highly recommend that you get the $100 a month plan.
That's gonna give you five x more usage. At the end of this video, I will go over the cost and credit breakdown.
You might run into limits on the $20 a month plan. Okay? So $100 a month, it gets you all covered not only for Claude video editing, but also for all of the other Claude automations and stuff that you'll be doing with Claude Code, if you're a serious business owner slash content creator, you should be on the $100 a month max plan anyways.
So look, if you just wanna start out and try this out and you don't really wanna spend that much money, you can start off on the $20 a month plan. But we're gonna need, at the very minimum, we need Claude Code for it to be able to control CapCut and create all the graphics and everything we need to do.
So guys, lucky for you, I have created a free prompt that will get the basic scaffolding of this project up and working. So there's really two ways you can do this.
You can do this for free, or if you wanna join my school community and get the paid version, it already has everything built out. And if you get the paid version or if you're in my school and you downloaded that folder, you can skip this whole setup guide and just move on to doing the use cases in the tutorial. But for those of you that wanna build this on your own for free, I am going to give you all of the prompts and setup that you need to get this up and working.
So if you want that, it's in the description. I give you this prompt completely for free. It will basically help you build the basics of this Claude video editor.
And so how to do that is you are going to go into Claude and then you're going to open up finder and you're going to go create a new Claude project. So wherever you keep your Claude projects, if that's in a project folder or if it's in documents or on your desktop, it doesn't really matter.
Just create a new folder and name it Claude video editor or whatever you want to name it.
I'm just gonna give it this demo name and then go back into Claude. Go down here and we wanna click open folder and you want to open that folder that you just created.
This is where your Claude video editor project is going to live. Anytime you do stuff within the video editor, you want to select that folder. So now that we have it selected, we can go get that free prompt that I gave you guys down in the description of this video and you can just paste in the prompt and it will build it for you.
Keep in mind that it's not going to build it perfectly. There's probably going to be a lot of stuff that doesn't work or you'll need to refine.
So if you're someone that values your time and you just want a perfectly already done version that took weeks of coding and building and refining that works straight out of the box that already includes all these files, assets, docs, all the skills and everything is already built out, then you can just join my school community.

When you join, you will be able to download the entire project folder right here, unzip it, and it'll work straight out of the box without you having to do all of the vibe building If you do it yourself, like I mentioned, I gave you this free prompt so it'll build most of what you need.
It might take one to two hours of setup but it's not going to have any custom presets and you're going to have to deal with refining it yourself. Either way, what you wanna do is either buy it from my school or set it up yourself and then make sure that you're in the folder. And at that point, you're ready to go.
We can move on to the tutorial section where we're gonna have this project do some use cases for us. I'll see you there. So I have this raw footage here that I just recorded.
It's a YouTube intro. And as you can see, I made some mistakes. It's four minutes and nine seconds long.
And we're just gonna tell it this prompt. Hey. So I just recorded a raw clip at it was like 12:39PM.
It's a raw footage in my downloads folder. I need you to go find that footage and create a new CapCut project with the rough cut built out.
Please and thank you. So guys, with a simple prompt like that, that's all we're really gonna need. If you did the setup correctly, it already has everything it needs.
And so it's gonna transcribe the clip and create a rough cut for us based on the transcript. So I'm gonna start a timer right now. I will pause and come back when it's done.
Oh, and there it is. So it basically just automatically opened up CapCut for us and built the rough cut in the time line here. It's pretty good.
It trimmed it all the way down to about forty six seconds. So it took it from four minutes. It cut out all the good parts and basically did the entire rough cut and it even puts it in the time line for you too.
And if it gets some stuff wrong, you can manually adjust like this, which is very useful. Took two and a half minutes, but in reality, it would probably take, I would say, probably about six minutes. I just had the transcript of the clip already done because I was already editing this earlier.
So it was fairly quick this time.
Moving right along to use case number two, creating cool motion backgrounds. So we're gonna start off by opening up Chrome, going on Pinterest so that we can find some inspiration. You don't have to do this.
You don't need an inspiration photo but I just decided to because I thought it would help. I like this background. So I'm gonna copy this image.
I'm gonna go into Claude. I'm gonna make sure where you're at the video editor project paste in the image.
And then I'm just going to paste a prompt like this. Create a new motion background that looks something like this. It's like a dark blue gradient background with film grain.
We need ours to be animated though and we're gonna be using this as a backdrop for our titles. When you're done, make sure to import it into CapCut. So let's just send this off.
It should be pretty straightforward and simple as that and it'll be able to use hyperframes to create the motion background. And when it's done, it should put it in CapCut for us.
Alright. That just got done and I timed it. It took about I'd say eleven, maybe twelve minutes max.
And let's check out the result. Very cool. Very cool.
Okay. I think the noise is like a little bit too much. Alright, guys.
So I did a little bit more prompting and I actually was able to generate this background that I really like. It's kind of like a grid background animated with some halftone texture.
I'll give you guys the prompt that generated it right now. You should be able to just take a screenshot right now if you wanna regenerate a motion background like this.
Yeah. It's very nice. We can obviously tone down the opacity to maybe, you know, 70%.
Boom. Looks great. So I would definitely use this.
I'm probably gonna use this for the titles in this video.
So for the next use case, what we wanna do is create like a little number counter animation right here that is going to be like a dollar amount and we want it to count up to 563. We are just going to head into Claude and we can say, hey, go ahead and take a look at the CapCut project that I have opened right now.
I basically say, oh, I made $563 this weekend with Claude. And so what I want is a little number counter animation.
And so what it should be is like a dollar amount. The text should be green. Choose a cool looking font.
Actually, just a plain font. Something that looks like clean, minimal. And it's going to essentially be like a a ramped up counting animation.
This goes from zero to 563 and it should be synced up with when I say it too. And it should also be glowing and we can throw a slight halftone texture on top of that but the glow is important.
Create the graphic, put it in CapCut and if you can, could you possibly track it to my hand as well so that it like kinda tracks along with my hand? We're gonna enter in this prompt and I'm not sure if it's gonna be able to do the tracking.
We'll see. I think hopefully we can just get the animation in there. We'll see if it can do the tracking.
I'm gonna send off this prompt. Okay. So that just got finished and it took about fifteen minutes which is kinda long but I think it's because my video editor project had to learn some things during the workflow.
But anyways, it was able to do it pretty perfectly. And it even tracks to my hand. It actually wrote the tracking into the actual graphic rather than writing keyframes on CapCut because it really struggles to actually write keyframes on CapCut.
It's kind of harder to do so it's better just to bake it into the graphic. Now when you're using something like Premiere, it's a different story because it actually is much better at controlling Premiere. If you wanna watch my Premiere video, it's the last video on my YouTube channel before this because it this Claude video editor will connect up to Premiere as well.
I'd say overall it did a great job. It did exactly what we told it to do. It's a glowing halftone textured and it's timed up with my voice as well.
And then obviously I can adjust it as well and it'll take less time to do the small adjustments. I would probably make it a little bit darker, maybe throw some shadow behind so it stands out and pops out more.
As you guys can see, it's been pretty much able to create awesome graphics that you can toss on top of your footage very easily.
Alright, guys. Let's move on to creating some really dope typography animation. So in CapCut, we just created this motion background but I actually want to, you know, create some animated titles that I'm probably gonna use for this video.
So we're gonna start off in the video editor project in a new chat and I'm just gonna say something like this. Hey. We need to create some new typography animated titles that we can do for this video.
So I'm gonna look on Pinterest and do a little bit of research first and get some inspiration. Inspiration. We can start the prompt off like that.
But what I wanna do is go to Pinterest. And I found this like style that Google is doing for their, you know, typography animated stuff. So it's like a smooth rise up from left to right and it's using this specific font.
So let's just kinda try and describe this animation. So basically, the letters are gonna do like a smooth rise in from left to right.
And it should be like an exponential curve so that it's like a smooth rise in on on all motion. Definitely want motion blur. I think we can do this at let's try like 12 FPS.
And for the font, we have to make sure we want to use this font. So I want to get the font specifically and I looked up Google Google font and I think it's gonna be this one right here. So I'm just gonna copy this link and paste this in.
And we're gonna send off this prompt and see what the result is like. I'll time it, come back and see how long that took. Okay.
One more thing. It's like, oh, I'll get the font in place while you're on Pinterest. I just wanted to say like, oh, like, I already looked on Pinterest.
I already described exactly what I want. So go ahead. So we're good to go now.
Okay. So that took about ten minutes. I think the official time was eleven minutes twelve seconds.
And it actually looks really good. Okay. The only thing is that it's getting cut off there and I wanna fix that.
Hey. So I noticed that when they're rising in, they're actually getting cropped. It's like all rising in from a cutoff line.
And what it should do is each letter or or they should fade in and not be cut off by a line at the bottom when they rise in. But other than that, it looks really good. Increase the size of the titles maybe a tiny bit.
And also let's capitalize them because they are gonna be titles. But I think if you just make those changes other than that, it's pretty much good to go.
So this is probably gonna take another ten minutes. We'll we'll see if it gets it good to go. And you know what, guys?
Some of you I I already know what you're thinking. You're probably like, oh, twenty minutes? Well, I could do that in five minute.
I could do it much faster. Alright, bro. Well, not all of us are, like, pro editors.
I don't know how to do this title. For me, to create a title like this, like, I wouldn't know how to actually animate this.
And for me, it would probably take me a long like two hours at least because I'd to I'd have to research how to do this. I'd have to figure out how to do it. And then I would have to actually spend the time and work doing it when instead okay.
Sure. It takes ten twenty minutes but like I can work on other stuff or just scroll Instagram reels while I'm waiting for this to go. So not only is it faster for me, a non editor, but I also get to be more efficient and productive because I can work on other stuff or just scroll reels or take a nap.
I don't know while I'm doing while I'm waiting for this to go. Right? I just realized that I might need to be a little bit more specific here.
It might be caps upper casing like everything. Just to be clear, I want the titles title case, not the whole thing capitalized.
Just like the first letter title case. Okay. That's what I meant.
Just making sure that you're clear on that. Okay. Cool.
You gotta be very specific, guys. You gotta be very specific. Really, it's up to you to prompt well.
It's gonna do the rest of the busy work. Let's see what it does. Alright, guys.
So that took a total of about six minutes. I think it's six minutes forty six seconds.
We'll add a minute thirty on there. Let's just call it eight minutes. Call it like eight and a half minutes.
So I think in total, it's gonna be around twenty minutes. But it rendered all six titles and these look really good. Very, very nice.
I love that. That looks like super clean, simple, and awesome.
So I'm gonna say now drop the title into the CapCut timeline so I can see them.
K. Cool. Nice.
So it just dropped all of the titles in here. And as you can see, looks amazing. Awesome.
Looks great. And there we go. And so really guys, the limit is your own creativity here.
Whatever you wanna animate, whatever kind of typography styles you wanna do, you can definitely get inspired from Pinterest. Claude will build it for you and it'll just drop it in the timeline just like that. You can even move it around, you know, so if you want it on a different background or etcetera etcetera, you can do whatever you need to do with it.
Awesome. Let's move on to the next section.
Alright, guys. For our last example use case, we're gonna be building some Vox style motion graphics. Now, if you're familiar with Vox style, you know that they have really premium editing.
It's got this paper collage style feel. And we're going to try and recreate that. And we're going to have Claude do it for us.
So let's start on Pinterest. Once again, Pinterest is the real goat of this video. They have so much inspiration and stuff like So we're gonna search up Vox Motion Graphics and let's get some examples down.
So I found this one, this video right here of like a Vox style animation. It's like we got bread and then it kinda like is an arrow to people don't spend and then arrow down to companies make less. We we are gonna try and recreate this.
And this is a pretty complicated one. So we're gonna have to go step by step here. Alright?
You know, I'm just gonna give the video link to Claude. So I'm gonna open up a new chat here. I'm gonna paste this video link in and then I'm gonna say, download this video and probe the video to for all the elements and style because we're gonna be trying to recreate just like the first ten seconds of this video.
So I'm gonna have it work on that first. While it's working on that, I'm gonna also kind of analyze the video myself and describe it.
So it appears like the bread with a It's like a black and white picture of sliced bread with a price tag icon right next to it, a yellow price tag. And then it's it animates into the center from top left.
It gets bigger and animates to the center. And then the the title under it, continuous price drop is like typed in and that animates too. And then there's a 35% off that appears on the price tag.
And then from there, 35% gets scribbled out and then it's six to a handwritten 65%. Then an arrow animates out from the right side and we slide to the right across, move past the arrow.
The arrow is now the head of the arrow is now on the left side of the screen and it's pointing to what is now a faded in It's like a picture of a hand that's grabbing a fist of dollars.
There's like a little emphasis, a purple emphasis thing behind it.
Spend. And then from here we do the same arrow animation. It slides down.
And then we have a little icon that's like a red box between some icons of some factories blowing smoke.
And then the caption there is companies make less. So all of this is against like a kind of like an animated grainy grungy white paper background.
I think probably what we're going to do here is let's just go with eight frames per second. So eight frames per second to get that like vox collage style motion going on. So for the bread and the hand, those are actual pictures that have been sort of halftone black and white.
So it looks like a newspaper cutout. The factories are just straight up icons. It's like shapes and icons.
And whenever we do icons, there's always one solid color fill. But that should be enough. So hopefully we can try and recreate just that animation right there.
So I spoke all of that. Let me copy that transcript that I just spoke and then let me paste in that prompt and then I'll just hit enter and that's gonna queue.
And so not only did I give it the video but I gave it this sort of text prompt that was like very specific. So right off the bat, we're just gonna see what that can give us. So while I wait for this to go, I just wanna explain how you should be thinking about graphics creation with AI.
So the limit here really guys is your own creativity. It's really up to you whatever whatever graphics you feel like would fit your own video.
Obviously, I'm just copying an example here. But, you know, for your own video, you're gonna have to come up with cool ideas.
You know, for example, let's say if you're talking about the future of video editing. You could be like, oh, let's have like a paper collage of like a robot pop in from the from up and then it slides over to like a sun a bright sun to represent the future or maybe like a long machine conveyor belt that like animates along and then video editing appears to be like a Claude mascot with like, you know, it working on a on a editing timeline.
So you're going to have to come up with the creative aspects of like what the graphic should be and then you can tell it exactly what you want. And so this is great because anything that you can think of guys, you can now have Claude animate for you. And I would never be able to create this whole animation.
This animation probably would take a pro, you know, motion graphics person probably at least hour or two hours. But we're probably gonna be able to get it done in about twenty minutes, twenty, thirty minutes.
So yeah. We'll we'll see what it does here.
Okay. So what it's doing now is it's actually I have it connected to Higgs field but it's actually using Higgs field to generate the photo images of what we need.
That's how it's getting the the bread photo and yeah, the two photo sources which is crazy. That's actually really smart of it to do that.
For you, if you're not paying for Higgs field or if you don't have the Higgs field MCP connected up, you'll either have to find the images online yourself or you'll have to just like have it search the Internet to try to find images itself. But if you are connected to Higgs Field, it makes it even more powerful because it can just generate those images and use them in the collage.
Alright, guys. We're back and it took twenty two minutes and let's check it out.
Pretty good. Not too bad. Not too bad at all.
Let's do it in 12 FPS and then also the halftone is too chunky. Let's make the halftone not as intense. Bread and the hand both need to be more like a little bit more detailed, less intense halftone.
So we're twenty two minutes in. I want to make those adjustments. I'm a let it run for probably another I don't know.
Maybe another ten minutes. We'll come back. We'll see what it says how it's doing.
Okay. Wow. That actually only took four minutes.
But yeah, when you do like incremental changes like that, it's a lot faster because it didn't need to rebuild the whole entire thing. So let's see.

Nice. Yeah. Dude, honestly, I feel good about this.
I mean, you know, you could probably continue prompting and getting it even more dialed in. And it's pretty nice that it only takes four minutes for each incremental change. But you know for the purpose of this video I think it's good to go.
So I'm gonna say this. Alright.
Pretty cool. Let's call it done. For the purpose of this video I think it's fine.
Let's just drag it into CapCut now. So loaded into CapCut, I'm gonna do I'm gonna toss on some more layers on top of it.
Alright guys. So I brought the graphic into CapCut here and as you can see, I just applied a couple of filters.
So made it a little bit warmer, added a cinematic glow and then I just added this heavy grain overlay on top.
And as you can see, this is the final result.
Nice. So pretty close to the original. The only thing that's off really is the arrows and maybe centering.
But I mean it gets it pretty much it gets the job done. Right? It gets it 90% of the way there for what you need.
If you really want to work on it more, you can definitely like be you know, describe how the arrow movement should be fixed and make sure that the bread is a little bit more centered, guess. But I'd say for the purpose of demonstrating in this video, like you get the gist. You can basically create any graphics that you want just by prompting.
And it only took us like a total of, you know, I'd say twenty twenty five minutes, thirty minutes maybe to create this entire ten second long graphic. Pretty good.
And this is like a crazy graphic too. I've done a lot of other graphics that are a lot more simple and pretty straightforward and it's a lot faster at those. But anyways, guys, that's gonna be the last use case of creating a Vox style motion graphic with Claude and CapCut.
Okay guys. Now I'm gonna cover a credits and cost breakdown. So what did it cost to edit this entire YouTube video that you're watching right now?
So all the graphics that I made and everything like that, we're gonna be going over the cost of it all. Right?
So I think I started working on this this week. So in the past seven days, you know, I've been editing this video, generating everything that you saw.
Okay. I've been working on this video from Sunday to July 30.
So let's just add up all the totals here. Alright. So it's hard to say like exactly whether you would have hit a limit here if you're on the five x max plan.
But I think that if you're on the $100 per month Claude max plan, you're going to be totally fine. You will be able to do every all the video editing that you need to be able to do with the $100 a month plan. I have seen that if you're on the $20 per month plan, you probably will run into limits and probably won't be able to edit an entire YouTube video or at least you'll have to, you know, wait five hours to keep your getting your limit back.
But I think if you're on the $100 month plan, you're gonna be more than fine. It took 4,200,000 tokens total to edit this entire YouTube video from start to finish that you're watching right now.
So not bad, not bad at all. Moral of the story guys, if you're on the $100 a month max five x plan, you're gonna be totally fine. And you should be on the plan anyways because really you need that plan to be able to get any real meaningful work done.
Right? And it would be much much cheaper than paying API cost obviously.
So you're really getting your money's worth out of the subscription plan. For those of you that always ask me about credits and usage, here's the answer.
You gotta be on the $100 a month plan. You could try to be on the $20 a month plan, you're probably gonna run into limits. But for the vast majority of you out there, you should be on the $100 a month plan.
You won't run into limits. It'll be totally fine. And you can use it for everything else that you do with Claude too.
Not only just the video editing, but everything else. So I'd probably be on the $100 per month plan.
